@@finnishfatman Yeah! Well, many Jeeps have easily removed doors, so thats why its not always necessary to open the door. He would have to tell people to open the door, unless there is no door, in which case you can proceed immediately to placing the left foot on the ground, followed by the right, and so forth! haha
I think this guy confused a lot of people with this 500 step process. He was setting the parking brake first, so no problem with the transmission. You can park an automatic nose gently uphill or downhill without hurting the parking sprag but e-brake is always a good idea.
In the video he backed up with ALL of the winch line off the drum (zero wraps) so the only thing attaching the line to the winch was the little rope keeper bolt. You can see that he definitely 'loaded' the rope when he backed up (the rope sprung up) -> wouldn't this damage/rip off the keeper bolt? I thought you're supposed to take in 10 wraps (for synthetic rope) under hand tension first??...
There was several wraps around the drum on the last layer of rope. Wraps is how many times the rope is around the drum which the rope is holding by friction and not by the keeper bolt

I couldn't keep track of the steps. Geez. I think I have the idea of stretching the rope without getting in/out of my Kawasaki Mule 70 times.
It would be nice if the same video was shot using a ATV which is a large part of Warn's winch market.
