@@davidhawthorne9637 If I had a wild guess, it would be because hes' using that wrecker not just for dead pulls and typical winching work. He uses those to lift vehicles's up and tows them out. Maybe that kind of use just wouldn't be good for synthetic lines

doing recoveries every day, I can confirm 100 percent, people go unprepared and don't have tree savers shackles, or a snatch block all the time. We constantly run into situations where a suctioned truck tried to single line to a tree and snapped their line. Where if they just used a block they would have came out

For $500 I wasn’t interested, but for $300 honestly it’s pretty enticing. Definitely seems like the best solution in every scenario. I don’t see how I could even say a standard line with the accessories is even better in any way.
You can make these yourself pretty easily. All you need is the winch line, a wire coat hanger and a knife. Hardest part is learning to tie the button knot that forms the knob on the mainline.
Just got mine spooled up today! This line is legit! The openings along the rope are so cool! And FAST!!! Now I can eventually lighten up my recorvery gear bag. Oh…. And I was pleasantly surprised by the candy. Nothing like a midnight Airhead! 👌
Used mine last weekend (a lot). Worked great. One of the guys asked for a shackle and we showed how to use it directly in the hole with the sheath on the freedom loop. Freedom winch line for the win.
Let the haters hate it’s an amazing idea. And now at a price point most people can afford.. I know I paid 100 bucks for a cheap synthetic line for my side-by-side.
I gotta say, I’m a believer! As a professional Safety Officer and former Flight Paramedic, , I can honestly say, this is absolutely the safest way to winch! I have personally seen the aftermath of winches gone wrong. Thank you for making it more affordable. I do wish you could lower it a bit more, just so more people could afford it because its that good! but.. I totally understand the cost factor. I’m saving up for one as we speak….. once I am able, Im buying it!
Thanks, I'm glad you like the design. Theres gonna be haters as always but for those of us that winch on a semi regular basis you its pretty obvious the benefits that the Freedom Winch Line has. @TRD Pro's why do you think we have tree savers?? Notice the scar he put in the tree? Tree savers are min 3" wide. This is just a gimmick for him to make money. It isn't any easier or faster than having the right setup. My credentials are having been offroading for the past 20yrs and have taken 4wd recovery classes as well as 4wd101 and 202 classes. They all make it very clear. Then here comes a youtuber with zero credentials and everybody buys it.
@TRD Pro's if you know what a tree saver is and why its used then you already have your answer. Its obvious you dont. As do many others who just assume this guy actually has clue. Ive been lucky enough to have had proper training on how to use winches, high lifts..etc. Im not claiming to be an expert. Just someone who knows the difference between the right way and wrong way to do something
I tied my winch line very similar to the way you have you can DIY this if you know what your doing. I am happy to see you selling shorty versions for people who don't know how. As a replacement rope your new price is not bad at all. No one should be using hooks or those aluminum thimbles anymore; Dyneema/Spectra/HMPE has made them all obsolete. Always use a tree saver, damaging the inner layer of bark (phloem & cambium) of a tree is deadly. In logging notching, ringing, girdling or barking is used to kill a tree and leave it sanding to dry for later harvest.
i love everything about it, and i will buy one for when i decide to go synthetic, but i am a steel cable guy right now due to how i use mine most of the time.
you know what they say, once you try it, youll never go back. I also forgot to mention in the video that its much lighter and saves weight. not only in the line itself but all the metal line accessories too.
Very nice! I've been planning to use one of these when I get a winch. My only concern was the price. Now you have solved that concern, I can't wait to instal one. Thanks for sharing.
Just got mine installed! Pretty easy to undo the end near the drum and take a few strands out, then heat shrank and got it installed in my Badlands ZXR 9500!
I like this design,as you won’t need all the extra parts when first getting set up for recovery, less weight in bag for recovery and simpler to operate
Tree savers are such a weird concept for someone from ND. Our state tree is a telephone pole... But seriously, I wish we had trees to help winch out of situations. 9 times out of 10, its winter, you are stuck in snow and your tree is the neighbors 3/4 ton.
I just found out about these "tree savers" and it got me thinking about all of the other ways to use that strap for vehicle recovery. It would probably work just fine wrapping it a couple of times around an axle or anything solid, and not have to work about pinching hydraulic lines or cutting into soft aluminum parts. I know that without the factory towing eye, there's nothing to hook onto without doing some body, bumper or fender damage on my Mercedes, and it's usually buried under heavy DJ speakers and equipment that would have to be unloaded in order to get at it. That's not always favorable in bad weather, at night or on the side of a busy highway without a break-down lane, (or all three) so having one of those would really come in handy to get it pulled up onto a trailer; not that it's ever happened to me because of a failed fuel pump or anything - twice in one month... Call it a "Fml saver".
My 12,000lb winch got stolen from a storage unit and my truck has long since been sold BUT if I ever got back into an offroad truck and had a winch, I'd definitely go with one of these for sure.
This is cool, I had heard MORR Matt talk about the Freedom winch line for a while now but didn't pay enough attention to realize it had the openings all the way back down the rope.
Interesting update. The knot at the end is a big step forward. I would only use the knot combined with the soft shackle. If needed you can combine that with a strap. So I do not see the use of the three more holes one the rope. That just makes it weaker. More versatile but not my need. Another point: you have to make it as simple as possible. For the guys who are only familiar with hooks. And there will be a time another guy has to help with your own winch.
I love how this was basically a commercial for your line, but there was soooo much info on what to do and what not to do in a recovery. I still have to ask "Did you get the drone out of the tree?"
Not to mention if a catastrophic failure happens. All those steel items become projectiles. Great product, great price and awesome innovation. God bless
@@krover01 not the shackle. However I have seen things like tree savers fail. Yes the shackle became a projectile. Thankfully nobody was injured. However they easily could have. Plenty of videos on TH-cam watching them become projectiles.
@Thomas Desmond I have yet to see a tree saver fail although I guess it could happen. Anything can fail if not rated or maintained. But replacing the bow shackle with a soft shackle fixes that problem.
@@krover01 this is true however that was kinda the point. Using lighter weight items in a recovery minimizes the possibility of injury. Innovation is key. Just be careful ordering Amazon Chinese knock off items. They are quite dangerous. God bless
i love this idea. i am glad the price came down and will be ordering one. The one thing that would make it even better is a reflective strand to better see the deployed line at night!!
I just put a loop on the end of my rope and then put the soft shackle thru the loop. I took a piece of 2” delrin I had laying around, drilled a hole thru the center, bolted it to the bumper and run the soft shackle on the end of the rope to it and tighten it around the delrin post.
Love this product. I’m using a factor 55 loop guard (so I only have the loop and no other device at the end for use) plus soft shackles. Will definitely consider this when I replace my line as this is even more simple than my setup ( I always worry about losing the loop guard when I take it off for use of the winch). Really cool, sometimes the best innovations are just taking that next level of simplification. Great job.
Oh, and on the fair lead concept, don’t worry about the removable piece ( I would just throw that in my glovebox), instead just put a hooked slot to feed the line into and then the ball at the end will cinch up against that tight. By the way, you should add a rope ball at the end of the removable piece so you can use it as a soft shackle in a pinch. If it did, I would get a second one in order to have a working backup….
You guys forgot to mention about the metal splinters you always get when your wire line wears down and starts to fray. I might have to buy a Freedom Winch Line when I get a new winch. Great job Matt 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
ohh ya those are terrible, I hate metal lines. Funny to think that I too was a synthetic winch line naysayer when they first came out but now I'm hooked... or should I say hookless 😁
@@bleepinjeep yeah I drove a flatbed tow truck for about 8 years and all we had were the metal cables. It was until I got a job building Can-Ams that I used the synthetic rope and I’ll never use another cable again. I would’ve never thought they’d be as strong as they are but they’re almost as strong as the metal and last WAY longer. Definitely way easier to use and handle.
And I'd rather not be in the way of a metal cable when it snaps, or your anchor point fails. I'm sure a synthetic line would still hurt, but probably not decapitate you or smack a heavy shackle into expensive bodywork or windows. I just didn't realize how expensive they are to replace. My brother's '09 Rubi has a Smittybuilt 10k in front that has a metal cable and hook, with two shackles and a doubling block stored on the bumper. It's a nice setup, but he's mobility impaired so someone (usually me) has to do stuff like air downs and hooking up the line when he gets crazy ideas that are beyond his driving ability (but that's half the fun of jeepin' I guess). I'm not fond of having heavy metal objects thrown in my general direction for any reason whatsoever, so I was thinking about getting him a synthetic cable for his birthday (4th of July) anyway, and now I see this Freedom Cable without the need for using anything mettalic in most cases, and with that Tree Saver strap it becomes almost a universal recovery kit. It might be Christmas before I can afford it, but it's definitely not happening before July 4th of this year. Maybe by next spring I'll have the whole thing rigged with fresh cable and be feeling better about not having to dodge shackles or damaging any trees in the process of keeping him on the trails and happily bumping along with the rest of the club.
- missed this last year... going viral all over again ??? glad you got around to using a douple-eye'd toggle loop for the "shackle" - user upgradable, replaceable, repairable, etc.. Personally I reckon a simple locked eye is more general, I can always tie it into a BFK any time I need to slip a shackle end (or toggle loop) over or under any securing object - back to BFK/Eye.. (an extreme bury - 2.5m / 8-9ft - with a couple of extra sliding eyes - double brummel lock the outboard end of every eye, not a silly idea.) Great stuff... Several midpoint eyes are also - dabomb, though these too can be inserted into the line as needed, no patents need be filed, sailors sorted these things out a long time ago - back in windjammer days, and before.. (some spare AMSTEEL 11mm - or ultimate haul line - is useful for making shackles, split lines, etc...) (how strong are the in-rope eyes?? - ok full line strength - as the whole terminal line is doubled - including the half brummel locked splits...)
Hey Matt @bleepinjeep, love the innovation! Curious on your demo line shown in the video as it shows a lot of fraying. Roughly how many uses have that line seen (or if you can give an expected life of the line? Fully aware our miles may vary if we just throw it across rocks or run over them). With that kind of fraying, I personally would've replaced it, but is that line just for demo purposes? Also curious how long have it been on Matt's Recovery's movair for?
I lost my drone in a pine tree in AZ. I'll bet we tried for 2 hours with a paracord tied around a full water bottle before we finally gave up. A few days later we returned with a .22 rifle with a scope and was able to saw the limb off with bullets. Unfortunately the drone still fell to it's death. I do have the sd card and battery out of it though.
Fantastic video and even better fantastic product, I love my gen 1 rope and have no complaints. I am looking at building pumper attachments that make use of the synthetic rope possibilities and get rid of the bow shackle attachments that stick out. I keep running into those things for some reason especially when working out of the back of my XJ.
🚜🔧🏞 Dude! Your patent is a game-changer! As someone who's been involved in offroading, mechanics, and farming, I can see the immense value in this innovation. It's arguably the most significant advancement since the invention of the winch itself. Kudos to you for pushing boundaries and creating something that will revolutionize the industry. Keep up the awesome work! 💪💪😎
the new price point is now very enticing ! the original price of $500 was too much for me, but $300 is very competitive. it is now cheap enough that i can buy a warn winch with steel cable and install the freedom line for less money than buying the warn with synthetic rope
I have a fondness for amsteel it’s just so versatile you’re use of synthetic winch line is brilliant and for this with out the savy you’re price is good myself though I think I’ll just get out my did and buy a piece of quality sheathing and make it myself… I wish you all the luck in your marketing though I’m sure a lot of work has gone into bringing this to fruition
Uuuuuuhhhh….glad you made the side by side guys happy, but what about us full size excursion bums w/ 18k winches?!?! I’m ready to pull the trigger and waiting!
Only thing I could recommend would be some kind of coating on the knuckle to prevent uv rays. Us guys in the sunshine state really know how the sun can kill a rope, and a ball of it hanging out your fairlead is prime for rot. But yeah, you sold a twelve footer and I'm doing some sewing. Hopefully it comes with the soft shackle though, I'd sure hate to use this yellow one that has another Matt's name on it.
Thanks for your purchase! It does come with the Freedom Loop, its not a soft shackle though as it has two loops on each end to work with the Freedom Rope. We did use a coating on the V1 model as you can see on MORRS Corrvair but I wasn't happy with how it wears over time.
I want to point out where you showed the newbies wrap the tree and hook the hooks back to the line, in a chocker it weakens your line by 30-50 percent causing it to break prematurely
I have worked in R&D of products before, and can tell you haters gona hate. I currently own an Engineering firm, so I 100% know what you are going through as you evolve this product. I personally don't see a reason for me to buy one right now, but when I eventually wear out my WARN line this will be high on the list to replace it. I would like to see as a customer would be bright color markers where the slits are on the line. Maybe mark the sleeve at those locations or something. Your price point is fine. $500 for a quality line isnt out of spec. Out here in the PNW marking up trees like that gets the eco Nazi's fired up so just an FYI. Maybe address that on the 4.0 . Tree savers are a thing for a reason. I bet you can offer a 3" wide velcro strap to go on the line. Anyhow good stuff!
Thanks good ideas, just FYI the most expensive one we have now is $300. But yes, use a tree saver as I mentioned in the video. I like trees just as much as anyone but out here they are treated more like weeds.

I’ll be at the great Smoky Mountains invasion in August better be plenty of those 3.0s I need to buy a couple
They are selling fast and shipping is only $6 for the whole order... but If I have them left in stock I will bring them to the event for sure!
I remember when Matt first started using it and it was impressive.
Bleepin Jeep invented a Bleepin Knot. My 4 year old is learning the bunny method. J/k Nice rope
Nice congrats on the new version looks awesome!
You can winch to Colt (use a tree saver and a Whoopi cushion)!
Cool infomercial. Funny and educational
Great video!! One point I would add,is the danger of flying projectiles when using any metal while winching. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
yes thank you, sometimes I forget that people might not know about the dangers of a metal line.
(an extreme bury - 2.5m / 8-9ft - with a couple of extra sliding eyes - double brummel lock the outboard end of every eye, not a silly idea.)
Great stuff...
Several midpoint eyes are also - dabomb, though these too can be inserted into the line as needed, no patents need be filed, sailors sorted these things out a long time ago - back in windjammer days, and before.. (some spare AMSTEEL 11mm - or ultimate haul line - is useful for making shackles, split lines, etc...)
(how strong are the in-rope eyes?? - ok full line strength - as the whole terminal line is doubled - including the half brummel locked splits...)
I so need 2 of them for my jeeps
Hey Matt @bleepinjeep, love the innovation!
Curious on your demo line shown in the video as it shows a lot of fraying. Roughly how many uses have that line seen (or if you can give an expected life of the line? Fully aware our miles may vary if we just throw it across rocks or run over them). With that kind of fraying, I personally would've replaced it, but is that line just for demo purposes? Also curious how long have it been on Matt's Recovery's movair for?
Awesome. Simple often overlooked. Nice job!
SO EXCITED. Love this product. I wish you have a heavier rated for my big truck
Good job guys !! Alway good to run a Batch !!! Of winch lines .
When I first looked st these, they were too expensive, happily hey dropped to $300 and now I have one on my Toyota, stoked!
Funnay as thats exactly what happened in this case, except with a 20ga. Drone survived perfect until it hit the ground 😒
Great ideas!
Will be buying once my current winch line wears out
the new price point is now very enticing !
the original price of $500 was too much for me, but $300 is very competitive.
it is now cheap enough that i can buy a warn winch with steel cable and install the freedom line for less money than buying the warn with synthetic rope
ohh wow I didn't realize that... just found a new pro for pro/con.
Looks awesome, buuut. The protective cover needs to have some more thought put in. Keep up the good ideas and wheeling.
Ordered one before I finished the video. Going to share this video with my fellow Mile High Jeeo Club members, too.
Thanks, we appreciate that!
Seen them in action. Sold itself.
I still say a tree saver is good practice. Even a synthetic line with abrasion cover will damage trees.
yes, as mentioned multiple times in the video, use a tree saver!
Awesome design. 👍🏽😎
The Freedom winch line is the greatest thing since sliced bread 🇺🇸
MORR approved is all I need to know.
@@bleepinjeep well thanks for the input, I'll figure something out. even if it's temporarily permanent several times...
Super cool line I had no idea it was this guys invention.
I want to point out where you showed the newbies wrap the tree and hook the hooks back to the line, in a chocker it weakens your line by 30-50 percent causing it to break prematurely
Just ordered mine!
thanks, we'll get it out ASAP
The Bleepin Jeep infomercial! Awesome!
Im getting one for sure!
The product is a great idea for the highway queen look.
@@bleepinjeep any kinetic rope setups in the works? To pull without the winch.
Seems to be an awesome product. Well worth it just right now a little steep for my pocket I paid too much for my winch LOL.
Winch your drone 😂
I'm sorry
Awesome already got my freedom winch line😊
