honestly i used to be a lot more extroverted years ago, but that changed. for a school trip we travelled to a different country and i rarely said a single word bc i didn’t know anyone well there (only a few ppl went, 2 of my classmates did go but i’m not their friend)

Fr, where I live guys have lederhosen and girls get Dirndl which is the ugliest kind of dress u could imagine and also the most sexist one since its'only purpose is to show as much boob as possible without exposing the nipples as well

i didn't get to go to prom because my school decided to make tickets $200 each to afford the fancy aquarium venue an hour's drive away from our rural town, and less than 10 people showed up to the event because most people at my high school were dirt poor and/or couldn't figure out how to get there and back since our parents understandably refused to drive us so far on a weeknight. i'm glad you got a second chance, Faline! even if prom isn't really all it's cracked up to be, everyone deserves at least one night to look hot af. i'm jealous 😭

When I went to a prom, I had a similar experience as you, but I found it fun because the event is important. Anyway, surely you had fun in your own way. The others may have had a better time than you, but at least you got to dress up fancy, attend the event with a friend, and eat the meals provided that you enjoyed. That sounds like fun to me.

i study at a make-up and hair artist school that also trains people in event technology and event management, so there are quite a few school parties being planned by the event techs as grade projects and such. they also did a masquerade fairly recently and it was the exact same experience with weirdly unfitting music and not knowing anyone lmao. your outfit looked STUNNING tho like, damn.
