The Adventure People are such an amazing line. FP put as much care and detail as they did with Little People into the line and took it to new heights. My favorite set was the submarine and deep sea diver with octopus and treasure chest. That was in the tub every time I was. Another great set similar to the hang glider was the parachute sky diver. I did get mine stuck in a tree and had to leave the park crying.
One of the best and most durable toys of all time. Just got back from camping and my nephew had are old fisher price trucks out and playing on the beach. Made me tear a little thing about how many adventures those adventure people have had.😊
Favorite Adventure People set? Hmmm? Tough call, but it comes down to 3. This one, which probably takes it. The set that had the plane, jeep thing and boat that could all connect. And the News Van. WHich itself was kind of dull. But that newscamera with the Camera Obscura gimmick just fascinated me for years.
I had no idea old Adventure People items went for so much. The Sea Explorer was one of my first Adventure People toys and became my Landspeeder when Star Wars figures came out. The original Han Solo fit perfectly behind the wheel. As I'm in Alberta and we used to get excessive amounts of snow, the Sea Explorer also doubled as a snow speeder for the Rebels to attack the Imperial ice bases. What a great toy and what a great line.
Alpha Probe. My uncle gave it to me in the 80s. I’m sure he found it at a garage sale. It was my favorite vehicle for 3.75” GI Joe. I didn’t even know it was Fisher Price until I learned it from your channel. Thanks
Got to love those Adventure People, fantastic pick up there, expecially given the personal meaning behind it. Love that you once found a piece buried in the sand, Fisher Price really built their toys to last! Thanks for sharing.
I remember receiving a large box of adventure peoples toys from my cousin. Mind you I was born in 1977 and this would have been in the early 80s. I sure did have a lot of fun with those toys. My favorite was the Wild Animal Safari and the Wilderness Patrol sets.
The Fisher Price Land Speed Racer, as the 70's was all about pushing a machine to its limits. Its cousin the Starfire 1 Rocketship made for a cool drag race. Impressed with the Ajax Toy Show, thanks Brian.
That sea explorer set is amazing. I think I had that set too. The boat looks crazy familiar. My fave sets were probably the safari set or there was a set of four or five space heroes, I don't think they came with a vehicle: Astroknight, a black robot, two green translucent figures and an astronaut. Loved those. They looked like they should have been from a cartoon that was never made.
WOW !! That's is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE !! What a find ! My favorite Adventure People set was the one with the jeep/pickup pulling the trailer w/ the pop up tent ! Still have the mini sleeping bags that came with it but that's all I have left if it !
I had the Sea Explorer set as a kid and played the hell out of it. I would come out of the tub shriveled because I didn't want to get out because that was the best place to play with the Sea Explorer team! The dolphin, in particular, really captivated me. Great find! I didn't remember the box had comic like captions on the back! Then again, the box probably lasted 5 seconds when I was a kid.
That is so cool! The Sea Explorer is a great Fisher-Price toy and my personal favorite. F.Y.I., my brothers and I had the Sea Explorer set as boys. My mother kept it and now my nephew plays with it. Those Fisher Price toys were definitely made to last.
Ohhh as soon as I saw your video title I couldn't click fast enough, haha. Fisher Price Adventure People are possibly my favorite toyline of all time (even more than anything Mego!) As soon as you scrolled that camera over and I saw that boxed Sea Explorer set I gasped. You're right you just do not see something like that hardly ever. The backstory makes it even cooler. Honestly that whole show looks like it was a really good one, I'm glad you guys had a great experience with it. Days like that really helps to re-energize you. Thanks for sharing!
I had the budget version of this set, it was a little raft that came with the same 2 figures and the diving helmets/tanks. Played with it a good amount in the tub/pool.
I had this set, fun days in the pool. But probably my favorite is the Daredevil Sport Van set which also made me get the Action Pack with the cycle and side car.
My sea explorer set’s boat doubled as a land speeder when I wasn’t in the adventure people mood. There was even a space for R2 in the front or back (can’t remember where the trunk was). That’s an awesome find!
Wasn't going to watch this video but glad i did!!! I thought you were going to get the Fisher Price "Sky Adventure". As always I love the sentiment at the end about meeting people and spending time with your son.
Wow. Watching these videos from shows you go to I see toys I had as a kid. For some reason that glider does look familiar but I don't know if I had that or not. I think you got the right reason for the recall...lol
My favorites were both the Sea Explorer and the TV News crew. I had the box intact for the sea explorer for many years as a kid, but it got damaged from the corn syrup of a leaking Stretch Armstrong. Would love if you could post a still of the whole "comic" adventure on the back. Loved how that imagery built excitement to play with the toy....And of course I called the dolphin Flipper. :)
It’s funny this video came up, I bought a Adventure People Alpha Probe today, still makes sound. Over the weekend I also managed to get a Alpha Star near complete with all three figures. I love this line, I focus more on the space side, but there all great figures
Loved the adventure people but never had the sea Explorer. But I had the motorcycle with the sidecar and also the park ranger with the plane and boat attachment. Also some others that I can't recall perfectly right now. Being from the same geographic area as you, FP had not only its national impact but also a sort of regional pride. Seems like the majority of my toys at one point were made by fisher price! Congratulations on your find!
Congrats on the Sea Explorer (aka the Poor Man's Falcon)! Had one as a kid, too, and it was my Falcon once SW came out. I have a soft spot for that show, even though I've only been once pre-pandemic. It's a mixed bag of old and new with prices to match, but I found some gems there...have to keep the lid on my wallet for some late-year shows, so I had to pass. Really glad you made out (as a seller and buyer)!
Funny thing is I had the Space 1999 Eagle-1 and that was my Millennium Falcon until the Christmas when the official one came out. Han fit into the Eagle cockpit perfectly but no other figure did (sadly not Chewie). I used to call it my Millennium Eagle. Great memories.
I still have all my old Adventure People, including the Sea Explorer, albeit far from mint. My favorites were the Sea Explorer, the Wilderness Patrol and the Animal Safari.
There was a great tub there for some vintage Star Wars Imperial army building. Also - were those Battlestar Galactica spaceships some kind of label-slapping in action?
Hi there I live in Toronto and I want to know where do I find these stores? I also collect vintage action figures from the 60’s 70’s and 80’s. Most of my purchases were in the states and on eBay.
What year were you born? I was born in 1969 and the first 3 3/4 inch figure collection I ever had was the Adventure People. When Star Wars came out, Darth Vader was a monster who attacked the Adventure People and Ranger Scott and his allies had to fight him. I thought I had all the Adventure People back then, but I've never heard of the Sky Surfer until this video. I'm 53 years old, and I'm still discovering things.
Same. Born in 68. The adventure people were my first 3 3/4 figures. If I'm not mistaken, Kenner used adventure people as bodies to creates the first Star Wars figure prototypes. I saw a picture once and they all had the bent right arms.
@@megomatt7770 Yeah, you're right. Star Wars figures were based on Adventure People. People say that Star Wars figures were the first 3 3/4 inch figures and that they set the trend for all the other collections, but really it was the Adventure People. Adventure People were largely ignored in Action Figure News and Toyfare magazines in the 90s. I never understood why. They were the most down-to-earth figure line and made a great central base for my figure adventures in the 70s.
oh, I have my sea Explorer, no skies or or rope any more, but yes, Bossk commandeered this vehicle from Mego Comic Action Shazam lost his parts and never let it go.
I got the Maskatron doll one year. Nothing makes one feel safer than sleeping under the steely, protective gaze of John Saxon...R.I.P.
Simply wonderful find. The Sea Explorer was also one of my favourites from childhood too.
The Adventure People Safari was my fav, as well the biggest set I was given.
Definitely! Love that set.
My jaw dropped when I saw this toy in your video. It was one of my favorites as a kid. I was in the pool with that set all summer! Thanks for sharing.
One of the best and most durable toys of all time. Just got back from camping and my nephew had are old fisher price trucks out and playing on the beach. Made me tear a little thing about how many adventures those adventure people have had.😊

I loved the Adventure People. My favorite was the Rescue Helicopter.
has to be between this (Sea Explorer), the Safari set, or Wilderness Patrol with the plane that lands on the pontoon boat.
I had no idea old Adventure People items went for so much. The Sea Explorer was one of my first Adventure People toys and became my Landspeeder when Star Wars figures came out. I really liked the Park ranger set with the plane that connected to the boat. Great to see adventure people items!
Got to love those Adventure People, fantastic pick up there, expecially given the personal meaning behind it. Love that you once found a piece buried in the sand, Fisher Price really built their toys to last! Thanks for sharing.
The moment I saw it, I just *knew* that was what you couldn’t pass up. It would’ve been the same for me.
absolutely my favorite toys as a kid. GREAT quality too.
Couldn't agree more!

Awesome😄 I had the sharkboat and a deep sea diver. Good old bathtimes as a kid 👍🏻
I still have my childhood Sea Explorer! LOVE IT
That's amazingly rad that your son is a toy collector as well. That Adventure People set hit me right in the nostalgia button too.
WOW !! That's is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE !! What a find ! My favorite Adventure People set was the one with the jeep/pickup pulling the trailer w/ the pop up tent ! Still have the mini sleeping bags that came with it but that's all I have left if it !
I hope it's some Xrays!

Great to see you this past weekend. Always a treat. My fav are the X-ray man and woman and the Alpha Probe.
Gold! I think I would've loved that set as a kid!

I have that same set as a kid and it was one of my favorite toys ever

Love adventure people. Still have my camping set.

I would soooo love to go to one of these toy shows. . .
For Fisher Price, I had the Deep Sea Diver w/ Octopus, loved that and I I had X-Ray Man & Woman. They made for cool space zombies.
I'd love some Adventure People remake toys.
Wasn't going to watch this video but glad i did!!! I thought you were going to get the Fisher Price "Sky Adventure". As always I love the sentiment at the end about meeting people and spending time with your son.
So cool! Congrats on finding a boxed sample!

good pickup, brother.
favourite Adventure Ppl set was the starship, silver, game with an X-Ray man wearing a black space suit.

My favorite has to be the construction crew. Set 352 Barney and Frank but to me they were Jim and George.❤😂
Very nice, I had the deep sea set with the octopus, treasure chest and diver and it is kind of a grail for me.
Congrats on the Sea Explorer (aka the Poor Man's Falcon)! Had one as a kid, too, and it was my Falcon once SW came out. I have a soft spot for that show, even though I've only been once pre-pandemic. Al;ways been a sucker for the TV News tr5uck, that set was just too dam n awesome, also the yello land speed vehicle i can never remember the name of.
Do you still sell those Tura Satana dolls?
I had the sky surfer as a kid immediately lost it but years later found it hanging in the woods near my house and rescued the guy
I always thought those molds would look better

Fisher Price stunt van set # 318 Green and Yellow van came with a motocross bike and kayak

oh, I have my sea Explorer, no skies or or rope any more, but yes, Bossk commandeered this vehicle from Mego Comic Action Shazam lost his parts and never let it go.
Are u selling the toys.
BigFoot Confirmed! Film at 4:32
I have lots of AP brand new in box. My favourite is the Trail Boss 4x4.
