When you were doing the tenons there was a proper Crocodile Dundee moment of “ NO.. THIS is a chisel !!! “ 🤣

Hi Kris, nice job as always. I found that saw dust, mixed with Elmer's Glue, makes a nice wood putty for filling in those tear out spaces.

Thanks for cranking out these videos. 22 minutes isn't quite long, at least not for me. I personally prefer videos like this around 45 minutes. Of course it all depends on your camera capacity, etc. But long story short, don't hold back on the footage if you don't have to. We love this.

As I've said before Kris, I do like your no nonsense approach. Get it done, looks great and does the job. Tendinitis sucks. I got it 2 years ago in my right arm when building the model steam engine by hand. Only cure is total rest i.e. in a cast but we can't manage without our right arm eh!!

Great video, as usual Kris. Tendonitis pain in the arse, well elbow actually. Suggest googling the Bowen Technique or Emmett Technique and finding a practitioner near you, they have high success rates with this type of injury. My better half is a qualified practitioner in both and if we were only a little bit closer she would fix you up.

    Chain mortiser, great tool!
I suffer from tendonitis in the elbow too, it seems like something that just never goes away. I found some massage techniques that help temporarily but aside from ibuprofen or not doing any sort of work there doesn't seem to be a great way of treating it.

    • @therealsparkman

The negative responses are from people who lead very shallow and miserable lives, and feel the need to take their anger out on people who do good by others. Kris' work is exemplary, and I am a timber framer. Kris' ability to take on a challenge of any kind is done with a lot of thought and turns out great. To those people who poo-pooh his work, well...take your negativity elsewhere. If you have nothing good to say, don't say it at all.
