I should be staying at The New Dungeon Ghyll hotel this week. This brilliant walk you have captured certainly eases the pain of the Covid 19 lock down.. Thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed every step !
Thanks John. This is a great walk with superb views all the way. I think we are all ready to get back to the fells after the past couple of months in Lockdown. Hopefully you will get your stay in The New Dungeon Ghyll sometime soon. Thanks for watching and for your kind comments. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Thanks. This is a great walk with superb views all the way. It is definitely a walk I will be doing again. Thanks again for watching & for the kind comments, it is appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie,
Only one word for that. - Stunning - in every way. My favourite rocky wonderland captured brilliantly. So good in fact that I watched it three times! Well done.
Thanks very much Eric. This is high praise coming from you, I have been watching your videos for a few years now, in fact we have recently been on Low Fell, inspired by your "Lunch on Low Fell" video, but did not get the views due to rain and low cloud ( we got soaked!), so we will have to do it again. The conditions when I did the Langdale Pikes back in January were perfect, the views were superb! I was not happy with my microphone on this video, so ended up buying a new mic after this walk. Thanks for watching & commenting Eric, it is really appreciated. Cheers. Eddie.
Hi Chris. It is a great walk with stunning views. It was a bit tricky with ice in places, but still a great day. I must admit, I prefer to walk in cooler weather. It sounds like it was really hot when you did it. Thanks for watching and commenting, it is appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Excellent video Eddie. We did this route this year but somehow missed our way after the summit of Pavey Ark and ended up on the far side of Thunacar Knott! Will attempt your route next Summer! Nick and Liz
Hi Nick, thanks. It is a great walk with superb views. It can be a bit confusing around Pavey Ark, so I can understand how you ended up where you did. Definitely a walk I would do again. Thanks for watching & for the kind comments, it is appreciated. Take care both of you. Cheers. Eddie.
Another wonderful start to my day. What a symphony of colour to begin with, and that in January. Thanks for the effort of holding that camera on those difficult icy paths, and have a good weekend! Greetings from the Peak District .......
Thanks Elizabeth, this was another good walk, even though it was a bit icy. It was a bit windy at the tarn on the way up, but I still enjoyed the day. Thanks again for watching & commenting. Have a great weekend. Cheers & Greetings from sunny Northumberland! Eddie.
Really enjoyed coming along with you on this walk Eddie, once again you picked a good day, the views were stunning, the Langdale Pikes are another one of mine and Derek's favourites. Excellent video Eddie. Mary
Thanks Mary. The weather & views were great. It was a bit windy earlier in the day, but not too bad. I really enjoyed the day. Thanks again for watching & commenting. Hope you and Derek are well. Cheers. Eddie.
This is a great walk to do with great views from all the different peaks. I was lucky with the weather considering it was January. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers. Eddie
You could see the wind blowing over Stickle Tarn, although you could not hear it and I think you were lucky to get the hero 6 before the new 7 black came out (just as many bad reports as good reports with the 7 black). Stunning day to be in the Lakes mind but I bet that was a cold wind that was blowing. What a superb walk this was, seen a load of videos doing the same route and I will have to get this done this year. Great video Eddie, really enjoyed it, cheers Alan
I really enjoyed the day Alan. I have done the Langdale Pikes before with Carol, but we did not have as good weather. It was a really cold wind, but thankfully it eased as the day went on. I am more than happy with the Hero 6, like you, I have read mixed reviews on the Hero 7 so will not be upgrading. Thanks again Alan for Watching and commenting. Cheers. Eddie
Wow Eddie, absolutely stunning video...you had perfect weather to capture such amazing views! Really enjoyed your hike, makes us want to get out there soon to the Lake District! Thanks for sharing 😀👍👍👍
Thanks, it was a great day. The weather and views were really good, considering it was January ( Not a patch on your Peru trip though, that was awesome!) Thanks again for watching and commenting. Cheers. Eddie
Great video...amazing views to be had ..almost perfect skies too.I did these in 2011 on a red hot day..they have some of the best views in the whole of the lakes..You did well to negotiate the icy conditions underfoot too looked to be plenty of it around too. Hope you went for some scran to warm up at Dungeon Ghyll afterwards 😊.ATB Mark....Edited to say just seen your pic of Angle Tarn on Look North weather 😆
Thanks Mark, the views were superb, it was slow going in places due to the ice, but well worth the effort. I went up to Angle Tarn Pikes & Angle Tarn on Wednesday (23.1.19) it was another great day. Took too many photos, ha! I didn't expect the photo I sent in to be shown on Look North, it was a nice surprise to see it on the weather forcast. Thanks again for watching and commenting, it is much appreciated. Cheers. Eddie.
Wow! Not one but two uploads Eddie, you’re spoiling us Lol! Certainly picked a cracking day to be out on the fells, I’ve never seen them look so good, certainly covered some ground there, paths looked a little icy though. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Anthony 👍
Thanks Anthony, still not a patch on your videos though. I watched your Bassenthwaite video the other day, it is stunning!I am going to watch it again! I will leave a comment ( just been busy!)
