Starting to learn the guitar in retirement and just came across your channel. I’ve subscribed and am looking forward to learning with you. Very happy to have found you 👍
Ok no problem. Yea well I only started playing a few months ago and I’m getting on pretty well. I’m really into all the Irish songs and find your lessons really good. I guess I’m nearly an intermediate player if yu get what I mean. I know all the basic chords and can change between them pretty easily. But I kinda wanna progress past that and basically just become better at it. Is there any exercises I could do or is it better to just keep trying to play the songs I like?? The thing I most struggle with is say I’m strumming away and I wanna do a little lick I’d have to stop and do the lick and there would be no flow to it if ya get me
@@garyowens4867 I would say continue to play the songs you like - pick one little lick/embellishment and add it in and practice this well. The licks will transfer to other songs and they'll come second nature in time. I've added a few video links which may be of use - again loads of practice! th-cam.com/video/1RukCBQsDnA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/ZjTgRznSf7o/w-d-xo.html
