I bought a cheap e-kit a few years ago. At first, I was kinda bummed at how it didn't sound very good. Didn't seem to trigger all the time and reliably. I thought about selling it or trading it for something else, and then someone recommended I first try plugging it into my computer to trigger addictive drums, which I already had. The difference was AMAZING! I mean, I would not have thought that the brain would make the playability better, but it made a HUGE DIFFERENCE in not only the sound, but the playabililty as well. Playing through the brain was 'iffy'. Sometimes, it wouldn't trigger. But when connected to AD, all the problems with trigging go away instantly!

How do you monitor the audio? Do you send it back to the module and listen to it from there or listen to it from your daw? (How do you monitor with the least latency?)

Nope, a J becomes a G in Spanish (it's a Spanish instrument) so it's cagon, and the G is pronounced like y'all are clearing your throat or hocking up a loogie.

Hey know its been a while since you posted this but I can’t get my hi hat to play closed or open with the pedal. The close sound and the open will work but holding down the pedal will just keep it open instead of making it closed. Any idea what the fix is?
@@the.Squibb I feel your pain sorry. Here’s what I do when that happens. First make sure you updated AD2 to the most recent update. You can do this by using the online installer. If your still getting that issue, here’s what I’ve done in the past to solve the issue.
Close the VST then reopen. Go to midi mapping, click Hihat, then select “ Learn HH Foot Close”. Then hit Ok.
This will save the foot close position.
Make sure you keep your foot on the pedal while you hit Ok. For this to work keep your foot down on the pedal even after you click save and for the next step.
Now go back to midi mapping while keep your foot on the pedal close down and select “ Learn HH Closed 1 Tip” and click Ok. Make sure to keep you foot down on the pedal while you select “HH Closed 1Tip”.
Once you hit Ok, The open, Closed and HiHat tip should work as normal.
What model of e-drum are you using here?

@ any model will work but the cheaper you go, the less responsive the ekit will be with addictive drums.
What interface setup do you use to connect it to the plug in, is there any latency between drum plug and kit?
@@andyanderson6455 great question. I’m using an Apollo twin x. Also running on a M2 MacBook Pro. I don’t have any latency issues. I usually set my buffer size to about 128 samples or 64 samples. I’m usually good at 128

Thanks for making this - Is there a way to KEEP the instruments on Flexi1 and Flexi2 that we've mapped, when cycling through Kit Presets (they seem to keep disappearing) ?

@@syretape great question. I use Ableton Live 12 to record my drums and to record the audio. I edit in Adobe premiere

@ No I would recommend using audacity. If you have a Mac you can use garage band for free or purchase Logic Pro. I use Ableton. If your looking to do something free maybe try Bandlab. Bandlab would be the better option over Audacity
