- The MTG-B3000BD features a layered composite band made of hollow stainless steel segments encasing fine resin parts for a lighter weight band. Ion-plated metal components bring a touch of fresh color to the overall chic black design. With its even more advanced Dual Core Guard structure, the MTG-B3000 protects the module in a carbon-reinforced resin case and encloses the exterior in metal components. Repeated pressing, cutting, and polishing builds the stainless steel case back upward into an intricate 3D form. The case back serves as the lugs to secure the band and as the guards for crown and buttons, for a completely new structure. High-transparency sapphire crystal paired with the delicate molding and vapor deposition of Yamagata Casio’s nano-processing technology adds the final touch of sophistication and quality.

Id take the 3000 over the 2000 just because its thinner. Its a remarkable achievement to see a shock at only 12mm thick. Thats rolex territory.
Now I really want to buy this watch after liking at it for a few days on TH-cam

Does the height/thinnest disturb you on the 2000? I just bought the 2000 the exact one you have one and I regret my choice a little because I didn’t realized the 3000 is thinner. I thought the 2000 was thinner just by the looks of it. But yes, I must admit, the 2000 oak/edge look is way better. (I haven’t received the watch yet, should be coming sometime in February)
(I also have my eyes on the MTG-B3000CXD-9AJR, feel like switching it but also I feel like it’s too late. I can buy 3000 in another time.)
I actually prefer the 2000 for the oak design. and I like gshock to be a little bulky and thick.
