    This one I know at least somewhat. If I'm not in bed by a certain time wife always tells me "Fan gaau la." I just tried a few of these phrases out and she understood me and answered "fan gaau." Thanks for teaching me these useful phrases! Good lesson.👍👍👍

    我二點瞓覺。我十點半起身。
    But I live in St. Petersburg, which is quite far north-in summer we have 'white nights' when the day is very long and nights are short and not at all dark, so it might be hard to sleep 😴

    I have a question-
    If we have to say , I wake up at 7:00am
    Then it would be “ ngo Seng2 chaat Tim or ngo hei San chaat Tim ? 🤔🤔

    • @5minutecantonese
      @5minutecantonese  ปีที่แล้ว

      Let's say, you wake up at 7 and you get up at 7:30.

    Thank you! Just FYI, “very” is written as 很, not 好. 好 means good.

    • @5minutecantonese
      @5minutecantonese  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! For the written form. We write 很. However in Cantonese, we will never say 很 in our spoken form. But when we write, we use 很

    • @fairylandful
      @fairylandful ปีที่แล้ว

      @@5minutecantonese thank you for the reply! I’m confused because in the writing in the video, you used 好 instead of 很. Was the writing in the video meant to convey the sound and not the word?

    • @5minutecantonese
      @5minutecantonese  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @fairylandful 好 is really the word. written form 很 is for the books 📚 or any reading. spoken form can also be written. For example, in comic books or anything show in spoken form. We can write 好. Because that's how we speak.

    • @5minutecantonese
      @5minutecantonese  ปีที่แล้ว

      This topic would be very complicated for beginners and lower intermediate level. It also dependa on the job nature. Maybe you can start with self-introduction first.
