Totally agree. Almost every guide video is just 15 minutes of some guy talking about talent builds which you can spend half the time reading wowhead for. Guides like this one that go over how to actually play the class are a dime a dozen.

Great video man! I`m chaning from Fury to Prot for S2 and this was just a perfect video to a better understanding on the playstyle and abillities. Keep up the good work.
Spot on! Great as always! This was exactly my issue when trying to master prot warr (first season in tanking overall). Under 20 esp when I was undergeared, it was easy to pick always spend rage on defs. However, going into the 20s I got bit more confident and liket those 200k+ dps on packs. And then… 21s and 22s just punished me too hard when I tried to focus on dps 😀 so knowing when to switch offense vs defense is really important. Sometimes i would use a def cd just so that I can focus more on dps spenders. But I guess if you go into the 25/26, things are too intense for such risky manoeuvres
i play in season 2 main holy pala and i rare meet in my keys 16-20 good warrior tanks. Mostimes when they stay in battle stance they in in seconds of time beceuase they get to much dmg i can´t out heal when the grp gets dmg too.
Hi guys, I could use an advice, any way to make Spear of Bastion more transparent? Sometimes its hard to see aoe beneath it when Aoe is also blue (and you want to stand in Spear effect for bonus dmg).
1. Question tho...wouldnt you count Shieldblock to Offensive CD's also in a ST Fight? Since it increases the Damage of Slam for 30%. Which is kinda massive or? I mean sure, the definsive Aspect of the skill still is more important. But once u get used to boss phases etc. for min maxing..... :P Anyway...good guide. Very detailled :)
Would count it as offensive cd but rather sometimes you have up all the time, especially considering that shield charge and last stand give shield block so you can have 100% uptime
Used to see prot warriors at higher M+ try to maintain aggro while kiting mobs to just avoid being hit, and allow the DPS to mow them down. Does this still apply?
there have been some very few mobs I kited in season one. the skeletal warriors on SBG with void slash or Sha of doubt in TJS with dark claw (both very high single target magic damage) come to mind most of the time you don't need to kite and can ops
As prot warrior main PVP, do you recommend me more the enchant of haste weapon or main stat? Considering that I will be around 25% of haste with no pvp activity (you know that stats go up when you are instanced or fight as such).

You forgot to add Shockwave in the rage generating abilities. It generates 10 Rage. Thanks for the useful guides as always.

My issue with prot warrior is fighting a monster solo. It feels like I never have rage and just stand there waiting until I get to do anything

Where can I find you aura ignore pain build?
How can you tell which skills can be reflected by Spell Reflection? Could the plating profile color the reflectable casts in some color?
All colors in Plater addon is set by user, so you can find all reflectable abilities and set whatever color using macros
