I was in middle school when Homer did the Springfield Gorge attempt, and it was a sensation: everyone in school was talking about it.
I love that when Rick told the owner about the Ceasars Palace jump, the man who owns the item shook his head in amazement. He owns a bunch of his memorabilia. Like this man didn't most likely already know haha.
He didn't know enough not to get scammed!

Every kid who grew up in the 1970s made an ‘Evel Knievel’ jump on their bicycle. Usually involving a plywood ramp. I certainly did.
I did too, and on my last jump the ramp was way to high and it ended bad.

Kept my 1988 Yamaha Banshee there in an enclosed trailer.
Pulled the seat off and washed it clean.
Borrowed a magic marker from the clubhouse.

Pretty sure that's just for the audience. Most of these collectors are probably well informed but they go over some cool facts for the show instead of just having the text cards at the bottom.

We know Rick's weakness is historical books that cost thousands of dollars *he buys for himself* with the intention he may sell them *someday.* Corey is happy with the purchase of a $300 collectable for himself. This is why Corey runs the shop now lol.
Corey doesn't run the shop. Someone else runs and manages the actual shop. I think they have like 50 employees now? The cast of the show isn't even legally allowed to work behind the counter. They can work in the back though or hold management positions. But most them have other projects or businesses as well as filming Pawn Stars.

I have no doubt Corey is a part owner of the shop and listed as a manager but I also read there is another guy that actually manages the day to day business of it not related to the show.

The actual story.... Apparently.... Was that keneval was sharing a cell with someone called knoffel. In the morning when the sheriff came to take them to court he cracked "well look here! We've got Awful Knoffel and evil keneval"

I know someone who has a real Evel Knievel helmet and motorcycle. Carl Green; he built Evel's stuff, but he passed away a few years ago so his wife or son has that stuff.

I had an Evel Knievel lunchbox in elementary school.
Man I had his action figure with the motorcycle. Millions of us had scraped up knees and elbows because of Evel. I'm sure broken bones and teeth as well. 😂 Lol He had his image on everything. He was a huge entertainer. 👍🏽
