When I was on my pilgrimage in 1972, when Mr. Semple was on the House of Justice, we were seated in the Master's house, and the House members arrived quietly and sat in a row facing the pilgrims. While we were waiting for all of the pilgrims to get there, I started feeling a sort of pulse of spiritual energy, like waves of the sea, coming at me from the House of Justice, which was in session at that time, it wasn't just the nine members separately. I decided to turn around, ostensibly looking for someone behind me, and I could feel it on my back. Then Charles Wolcott spoke to us (around 40 pilgrims) concerning the worldwide progress of the Faith. I could not avoid feeling those slow inexplicable waves, which continued the entire meeting. Afterward, we were privileged to meet each one of the House of Justice members. It was then no longer in session, of course, and I no longer felt that energy. It was quite an experience. I asked around to see if any of the other pilgrims had felt it, but no one had. I still consider it one of the most remarkable gifts, among several, I received on that pilgrimage.
I give thanks to God for both the institution of the Universal House of Justice and for all the worthy Baha'is elected to it.
