Great video Dad! Ashton and I give it a 👍🏻
Thanks Aubrie and Ashton! 👍👍🐝🐝
Thanks for sharing Darren
Hey Paul. Thanks for stopping in and commenting. Have a great weekend.
I have a couple of hives that I need to do the same thing with. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, need to start taking care of the weak ones now. Watch for wax moths and hive beetle take overs. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Got my fingers crossed it will work for ya buddy. Great job done! Have a great weekend my friend!
Hey Mr. CB. My garden is taking off and that Jet Star tomato is growing now. lol Thanks for watching and commenting.
I think that the queen in Nuc 1 is a poorly mated queen. Even if she doesn't have a big support staff she should be laying in a tighter area. That pattern is what they call shotgun scattered brood.
I think you are right. #5 doesn't have enough bees so she is growing what bees can support.
Yeah, I think she's old and not superceeding for whatever reason. I need to get out there and check them again. May be full of wax moths or hive beetles by now. Thanks for watching and commenting.
yep a must to be able take care of the brood, or its a wast of brood
Another great video! Thank you for putting it together!
Thanks Ronnie. Have a great weekend.
Smoke em real good to CONFUSE THEM, and > Just stack the 2 nuc until there ready for a 10 frame box. The queens will most likely work togather each in there own box or the best one wins
I need to get in there and check them again soon and make a decision. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍👍🐝🐝
i agree. keep them from fighting.
Amazing you give away bees. Guess with 30 hives time to go selling nice and honey. You and okierob have just boomed your Bee numbers
Yeah, this year was a bee explosion. I think I came out of winter with 16 hives and got to 30 in May. OkieRob has over 40 I think. lol I don't know how he keeps up. I can't afford another year like that. lol I don't have enough equipment to keep up. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@JeromeBeeFarm we only came out with 1 this year. Worst year ever. No swarms that we've seen, no swarm cells, is that lucky or not hard to tell. We must live in bad Bee country Oklahoma
TO HUMID TO MESS WITH BEES HERE Get Dehydrated in 5 min. > My bees can't even stand it.. YOUR DOING THE RITE THING! Come bind em in a nuc. Give em 1 frame of brood cells. WHEN they explode then add a 10 frame box. wow your videos are never ending THANKS FOR THEM i enjoy them
Some of mine are bearding now. I put 2x4 blocks under the lid to give them a little more ventilation when it gets really hot. Lets in hive beetles though.
I only raise the inner cover to 3/8" on the back side. Mostly the dam wax moths> dam if you do ! dam it you don't ! > That why i like that screen inner cover ! But they propolis the screen up!> So again! > dam if you do! dam it you don't!> Pennies, Quarters, ect. help between the 4 corners of the hive bodies for more ventilation
I have a nuc that was filled with a swarm and is now down to a couple of hundred bees after the queen took off again. remaining bees have a queen cell thats ready to hatch. sad to know they won't make it.
Yeah, but you might get a spare queen out of the deal if she mates and starts laying eggs. You could boost them with a frame of brood and nurse bees and they might have a chance, unless you are more northerly. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@JeromeBeeFarm I think i'm going to do that. Thanks for the advice.
Why not feed with pollen patty and 1:1 sugar water?
I don't use pollen patties any more. The hive beetles use them to lay eggs in and are a mess. I think they already have plenty of honey in each hive. Thanks for watching and commenting.
