Thanks for your channel been following since the beginning with you and your dad.what a great genuine down to earth man he was just like my own dad.Must be time for nice break by the sea so you and nick can wash away all that dust.
Hello Joanna , The scenery and green is so nice to see .soothing to the eye . We have neen hitting high nintys degrees . consistently all july and August . Feel like a gurnace is on . The lawns are all bloned .weve had alot of smoke too from forest fires . Love seeing yhe hay fields and the dales .thankyou . Take care .
Hi Nancy. Hot summers are crazy especially when the wild fires start up, here we had a very slow start to summer but it has picked up on the whole and a lot less rain around now. Thank you for watching x
Thank you for that Joanna, it took me back 50 years on a David Brown 880 and a David Brown I think it was a 995 ( red with yellow wheels)a Yamaha moped and awkward chatting up of young ladies at Young farmer events. Great times.
Hi Joanna. I sure can relate to and sympathise with you about being dusty, dirty, itchy and hot. Prior to getting our first tractor equipped with a pressurised, air-conditioned and heated cab in 1980, l used to be a walking pile of dirt and dust on virtually a daily basis🙂. Although that particular tractor was only able to used for primary tillage and planting so I was still well acquainted with dust and dirt with hay and other jobs until we got the Belarus 920 with it's AC cab in the 1990s. I know from experience, you certainly look forward to having a good bath/shower at days end. As always, beautiful scenery and very well edited Joanna. Top work with the hay. Take care.😊
Keep at it you are doing so well, reminds me of using a sickle bar mower pulled by a grey fergie when I was about 12 at my uncles farm, fantastic times.
Hi Joanna excellent video again thanks, just awesome watching the old tractors working on haymaking. Know what you mean about needing air con not much fun getting covered in dust. Funny how you can never get the bit of breeze blowing through the cab aswell. Thanks for letting us tag along take care and be safe 👍 😊.
how i love that old david brown and and ironic features. what a beautiful landscape where you live even early in the morning. and i think you tell it nicely. nice video again i look forward to your next video. enjoy your evening joanna. 😘🤠🌞🇳🇱
Haymaking is my favourite time on your farm Jo, I like to see the older tractors at work, and I'm sure I can smell the hay through the screen of my laptop. Keep going I wish you all the best in what is a very busy time for you. Best wishes from EA.
@@DaleFarm Hi Jo, That's great news, I know that the wet Winter was a trial for you, but when you have a result it just makes you feel better. The upside is that you should go to the pub and sink a pint or 3 to celebrate, best wishes to you both, from you know where.
Warrior David Brown 885 & You're Plucky & gutsy Joanna Jump in that Shower with all that itchy dust & Excellent filming getting those Views in & Drink that long cool drink with all the Heat We've still got. Well Done looking after those Pheasants & I love your resilience & resourcefulness Joanna & Nick xx
You are wrapping the hay ,it does not need to be perfectly dry. We wrap all of ours at about 24% moisture and it keeps perfectly good with no bad mold on it. Sheep love it
Oh Dear! Dirty covered in dust Hot gal and breakdowns! Oh my hard work and great views. Such is life on Dale farms! The struggle is real but you’re making it happen! Great job!✌🏻❤️🇺🇸🙏🏻🇬🇧
Just keep your hopes up and you will get there as long as it is dry when you bale it you will not go far wrong you are bound to be a bit worried hopeing the weather old out
Yay Nick save the Day 💪💥 and I would say invest in some bandanas to cover your face in your head if you wet them it will keep the dust away and keep you cool 👍
Hey Joanna did you run the David Brown out of fuel ⛽️. The way you described our it stopped sound like a fuel problem to me 😮. You would probably find it better heat wise if the tractor never had a cab. Real old school. Try the Massey Ferguson 135 next time on the Tedder. Thank you for the video 👍
I used to drive the 135 for hay making and loved it but this year we only had one hay bob in action and nick put it on the David brown as we had some clutch problems with the 135 prior to hay making The 135 is going well Now tho, so maybe next time. The David brown, something had got loose and undone which was connected to the hand throttle and I didn’t know about it , but nick knew how to fix it easily x phew
David Brown is looking good first tractor i would say that had 2 speed pto looks like your tedding in the 1000 speed 😂lucky to be getting all that good weather😎
@@nickj5488 they will work in the 1000 speed but you could wring off the pto shaft on the haybob ......have done it in the past .......got a shaft with a shear pin now .......u would break the bolt the odd time , but its a 5 minute fix ......but some of the meadows that I cut would be far rougher than what you have ........
