You have come to the most important performance of BABYMETAL's career, as it relates to the West. The Sonisphere Miracle. 50,000 metal fans who had absolutely no idea who they were, by the end of the set were completely into everything about their performance. This was the day they arrived. This is also one of their most powerful songs thematically. It means No Bullying Absolutely (Forever), you should read the English translation, its an amazing message, and the belts will hit different once you know what they are actually saying. The thumbs up will make sense. ===== Dreaming, I couldn't have even it. Between the light and the darkness, I stayed alone. Those who got hurt were not only I myself, but also those who kept on watching me. It was you. Confidence, [Have it!] I couldn't have. [Don't be beaten!] I kept on hiding [I dislike to be found!] until yesterday. [Yesterday is gone!] But good-bye to yesterdays' myself. [Bye-bye!] Bullying. [No!] Bullying. [No!] It's disgraceful. [No! No! No! No!] Sometimes you get hurt, sometimes you hurt someone, and we all get badly hurt. Fox, [Fly!] Fox, [Fly!] I'm sure you can fly. [Fly! Fly! Fly! Fly!] Let your pain and sadness all go outside! It's OK because I'll protect you. I didn't show my tears, and in the night I was about to cry, in a room deep inside my heart, I stayed alone. Those who hurt me were not only someone else, but also those who pretended not to notice. It was my friend. Nothing [Nothing!] could I say. [Say nothing!?] I was about to give up [No easy throwing out!] until yesterday. Pain... Aching... All the while... Alone... Your heart... Pretending not to notice... Anymore... I'll never get away. Bullying, No, Absolutely. Full of dearest-ness, it's pressuring but also encouraging. Anymore, anymore your... I don't want to see anymore your tearful face. Bullying. [No!] Bullying. [No!] It's disgraceful. [No! No! No! No!] Sometimes you get hurt, sometimes you hurt someone, and we all get badly hurt. Fox, [Fly!] Fox, [Fly!] I'm sure you can fly. Let your pain and sadness all go outside! It's OK because I'll protect you. Bullying, No, absolutely. [No! No! No! No!] Bullying, No, forever. Bullying, No, absolutely. [No! No! No! No!] Bullying, No, never.
Great reaction and at the risk of repeating everything you have been told already (but it is worth repeating, so here goes) probably 95-97% of that crowd didn't have a clue who or what BABYMETAL were 30 minutes earlier. Most were fans by the end of that 30 minutes and calling for "One more song". This song (just call it IDZ - but for the correct pronunciation you can hear them say it when they all put their thumbs up together - means 'Bullying, No More, Forever') has some very well written and very meaningful lyrics. It was the second song they ever performed when they were first starting out, it's release was held back for a bit as it is too much like straight metal and their producer Kobametal wanted to establish they were not going to be limited in any way in what they do, so 'iine' was the second song they actually released instead (I don't remember if you've seen that one yet). Sonisphere 2014 was their very first time in the UK and their first major event outside of Asia - they did two small shows in Paris and Cologne a few days before this where Yui and Moa celebrated their 15th birthdays. Su-metal was 16. They were originally booked to play a small side stage or tent at Sonisphere Festival in front of maybe a couple of thousand people, but their video for their song 'Gimme Chocolate' had gone viral and they were attracting attention - they also had a show booked in London for a couple of days later that had to be moved to a bigger venue as the tickets had sold out so fast - so the organisers moved them to the main stage with just a couple of months notice. Some small minded idiots who had seen 30 seconds of the 'Gimme Chocolate' video and (mistakenly) made up their minds BABYMETAL must be some sort of money making gimmick band weren't happy that they were playing at Sonisphere, they were even more upset to hear they would be on the main stage and they posted threats on social media of urine bottles being thrown and booing them off stage, but the vast majority of the people there (50-60,000 UK metalheads) didn't have a clue who they were. From back stage the girls couldn't see the crowd and were worried nobody had come to see them and what they should do if there was nobody there - they walked on stage to see a sea of puzzled faces - hairy, tattooed metalheads and all sorts ("the typical UK crowd") wondering why three little Japanese girls in red tutus were on stage at one of the biggest metal festivals. I believe Su has said that as they walked on and saw all the puzzled faces she thought to herself "This will be fun. Let's knock it out of the park." IDZ was the last song of their 25-30 minute set. They played just 5 songs and the crowd were wanting more and calling for "one more song" at the end. They gained a whole lot of new fans that day. They had the biggest mosh pits of the whole weekend and their merch outsold every other band playing there (including big names like Slayer, Anthrax, Iron Maiden and Metallica). They have spoken in interviews about how they consider this one of their biggest milestones and it being the moment they felt accepted by the metal community and really began to believe their music could break the language and other barriers. Su-metal has described how the sea of puzzled faces they saw as they walked on stage changed to smiles as their set went on and how it went from just the front few rows jumping and joining in and looked like a wave running back through the crowd from front to back as more and more people followed suit.
As always Grington300 300 summed up the back story nicely. But really to re-emphasis the point - bar some Asian festivals (audiences always polite and respectful) this was their first exposure to a proper metal crowd. This was Sonisphere after all - and those audiences really let you know if they do not like you (adults get scared playing to those audiences - and they were foreign girls of 16 and literally just turned 15)! That they won over the audience proved they were not some gimmick and had real talent and music that could stand with any metal band in the world (and many big names were playing that weekend).
I remember being a fan early on and worrying about this show. Wasnt there also a thing that they mimed some shows and a lot of talk that miming at a festival would go down really badly? I remember something about it, but crazy to think since then they have been praised for their live shows so there was nothing to worry about.
@@BishieBishie The haters claimed they mimed (some still claim they mime🤪) ... they did not mime (certainly Su didn't, Yui and Moa were singing live long before many people give them credit for too, although they did probably have help from track for when they did the more energetic dances). That rumour was based on the 'Gimme Chocolate' video (which was probably the only thing those people might have seen) which has the studio audio dubbed over the live performance.
I kinda can't believe you didn't know the story behind this one haha. The most iconic miracle for them ever. The courage these young ladies showed by even taking the stage at all changed the course of history, I guarantee you would not know who they are right now without this show. This video makes me cry every time. Live is the only way to experience them by the way
I cant tell you how many times I have watched this performance and every single time I get a few tears of joy from it. The look on Su's face at 5:56 is priceless. Look how she knows she just won over the crowd and how pleased she is at the chaos they created. This makes me feel so proud of the girls as if they were my own kids. And I don't have any kids. The crowd cheering "we want more" when most the crowd didn't know who they were and some went to hate on them for Gimme Chocolate. Obviously they had some fans there but they 100% made a lot more after that. 🤘🦊🤘
Su-metal's look says to me: ahh, yes, I see lots of chaos, I'm satisfied. This is perfect. A big win. Fox God will be pleased. 🙂 When it comes to Sakura Gakuin members and graduates like Babymetal, I feel they are like nieces. Babymetal shirts sold out at out at this festival, they sold the most from all bands that long weekend.
If you've ever heard of this other reactor G.O.T. Games, hes literally in this crowd and didnt realize he was until he reacted years later on his Babymetal Journey
_Kitsune tobe!_ 🦊🤘🙅♂️ Nice you're back with more BM songs and this time with an epic live performance and a really turning point for them, they will never forget. IDZ is another unavoidable hit they don't wanna leave behind in any of their setlist, and last concert they didn't either, can't wait for next Makuhari Messe 2023 live versión. This is also know as "the miracle of Sonisphere", because it really was, our girls said this was a dream come true. Some people over there never heard them before, and they will never forget the impact they had on them that day and travelling after that to Japan to see them once again, not to mention that they sold out every merch available after the show. Song lyrics is about giving a global message to stop bullying in the world not only in Japan, like you said it's a problem that almost everyone in the world can feel related, such a powerful message, title means literally "No More Bullying Forever" or "absolutely" is another translation but they said forever at live concerts I guess because is more clear message. The quote actually comes from a japanese anti-drug campaign way back before this. There was a "BM for Sonisphere" campaign made by fans around this time, probably this help out a little bit, they had a previous top notch show at their own country when reaching the Budokan Arena in March 2014 at such young age and they made clear about their plans on World Tour domination, and Sonisphere was just around the corner when planning Europe Tour so they contacted the organizers and were schedule for the Bohemian Stage, a small tent comparing to the bigger stages, but since they got a lot of attention from the music press around the world, rock/metal and general music press and also the insane amount of views from Gimme Chocolate! MV it was no brainer to switch and give them the Apollo stage, one of the main stage were bands like Limp Bizkit, Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Metallica, Alice In Chains among many others played too. There's a lovely fancam footage with our girls in her regular dress watching Slayer from the backstage, you can really see how they wanted to learn more about this metal world. One thing i noticed is many fans point out about them being "nervous", althou they might look like that, they weren't exactly super nervous, they said on interviews they were mostly surprise and interested about knowing other foreign crowds and their way to interact with the music, it was really fun for them and they were expecting some people probably not liking them but they believe in what they're doing and they felt after every song the people were more and more interested and involving with the crowd participation, from the stage to all the way back, they realized songs don't need words to be feel it, if it's really interesting to hear. Probably what makes people think they were nervous is a couple of things like: the flag stuck on YuiMetal's head or MoaMetal making a mistake when starting the first song "Babymetal Death", also there's a picture of the girls behind the scene just about to start this show looking worried or "terrified", but i think it was mostly surprise faces when you're in shock, and MoaMetal mistake was probably because she noticed YuiMetal struggling with the flag and that made her distract, and YuiMetal is also known as Yuibot, she can go on perfectly in sync no matter what, that's why is also known as the angel of dance. Not to mention that they're well trained actresses and they needed to enter in serious and ominous character before Babymetal Death. The Kami Band here were Mikio Fujioka and Leda Cygnus on guitars, BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. The circle pit and wall of death is something regular at BM show, depending on the venue of course, but the crowd will always try to have some fun with crowd surfing and "mosh'sh pit" which is a safer version for people to mosh, althou crowd here don't look like they want that safe mosh'sh pit. lol At the end they're saying "We Are BabyMetal!", like in almost every live concert to make feel everyone part of the show, is also a line borrowed to X-Japan, another legendary japanese metal band. During this performance if you look close YuiMetal had her dress torn and a piece of red tutu is floating around annoying her peformance a little bit, there were more troubles you won't notice hear, like the IEM device of MoaMetal not working, or when she fell down during the battle scene but they keep going no matter what, is all about rehearsals and more rehearsals, practice makes the master. Thanks a lot for sharing this, sorry for the wall of text but this song and special version deserves the effort to write all this in depth info so you can understand a little bit more how important it was for everyone. See you next time and kitsune up!🦊🤘🔥
Also, if you read the translated lyrics they are absolutely heartbreaking. It's about being bullied and hiding and crying alone at night. Su promises to protect the bullied and assures they have a voice so its also heartwarming. No bullying forever. What an important message the world needs to hear even today, and who better to deliver it than these powerful young ladies?
This was even better considering that grown adults were plotting to disrupt (with some awful things planned) a performance by kids because they were wanting to gatekeep them out of the genre
Though I wanted peace of mind,1 I couldn't even have a chance to dream In between the darkness and the twilight I stayed alone It wasn't only myself who got hurt But it was also those who kept on watching me It was you Confidence (have it) I couldn't have (don't be beaten) I kept on hiding myself (I dislike to be found) Yesterdays (yesterdays) Go away and goodbye to my timidness (Bye-bye) Bullying (stop it), bullying (stop it) It's nothing to boast about (stop, stop, stop, stop) Sometimes you get hurt, sometimes you hurt others We'll all get badly hurt in the end Fox, let's fly, dear friend, let's fly I'm sure that you can fly (fly, fly, fly, fly) Release your pain, release your sadness Express all that's kept in your heart It's alright 'cause I will guard you No I didn't show my tears And in the night when I was 'bout to cry, I shut myself up deep inside my heart And I stayed alone It wasn't only those who hurt me But also those who pretended not to see It was my friend Not a word (nothing) could I say (say nothing?) It is this song and it is in 2014 that my most favorite. It is clear that you love these girls very much, your emotions are visible. I sincerely wish you to meet them in person someday
Watch at 8:36 how Yui clears her arm from the torn dress without the slightest disturbance to the choreography. Also, watch how long she had to deal with it up to that point.
This was a A tier Babymetal song for me. Then I looked for the lyrics, I had to move it to S tier. This is an anti-bullying song, it's amazing. If you read about the story of Babymetal in the Sonisphere festival this performance becomes waaay more meaningful.
Three "little" girls a far far way from home , Dug so deep that day find their inner MEGITSUNE even old Ingtons of many 3's tells tales of being there at "THE MIRACLE OF SONISPHERE 2014" ...Bless him
In this classic IDZ performance you get a bit of everything: Kami Band shredding, Su power vocals, Su's hyper extended elbow, Moa and Yui backing vocals, dancing, and a Yui tutu malfunction. The title takes an iconic Japanese anti-drugs slogan "Mayaku, Dame, Zettai" (Absolutely no drugs) and uses it against bullying substituting Ijime (bullying or abuse) for Mayaku (drugs). In the two years before this concert BM had worked hard to transform themselves from an idol group, just singing and dancing to backing tracks, into a metal band capable of performing live in concert. The Kami Band had been formed and integrated into the performances and they had played several Japanese festivals and done the Legend concerts in preparation for touring. After that BM were getting good buzz and they were invited to perform at Sonisphere, a big UK metal festival at Knebworth, as part of their first European tour. They were nervous because the UK crowd was notoriously tough and weren't expecting such a large crowd, but by the end of their 30 min set they had won them over completely. IDZ was their finale. It's the moment that critics and the international audience realized that BM were a legitimate headlining band and not just a gimmick. Just think about it; three high school girls are performing in front of a potentially hostile, enormous, foreign audience who don't understand any of the lyrics and they got "we want more" chants at the end. It was a complete vindication of Koba's vision and everyone's hard work and I think you can see that in Su's smile at the end.
I love this song, it has everything you could ever want and what an amazing performance! I want to inform you that Akatsuki from the first album at Budokan Black Night is equally impressive, lots of fire! Ijime Dame Zettai might sound like a happy song but it's sad and empowering (lyrics provided by du-metal): Dreaming, I couldn't have even it. Pain... Aching... All the while... Alone... Your heart... Pretending not to notice... Anymore... I'll never get away. Bullying, No, Absolutely. Full of dearest-ness, it's pressuring but also encouraging. Anymore, anymore your... I don't want to see anymore your tearful face. Bullying. [No!] Bullying. [No!] It's disgraceful. [No! No! No! No!] Sometimes you get hurt, sometimes you hurt someone, and we all get badly hurt. Fox, [Fly!] Fox, [Fly!] I'm sure you can fly. Let your pain and sadness all go outside! It's OK because I'll protect you. Bullying, No, absolutely. [No! No! No! No!] Bullying, No, forever. Bullying, No, absolutely. [No! No! No! No!] Bullying, No, never.
Ah yes, the legendary performance at Sonisphere 2014, where they first melted faces outside of Asia. Other folks have covered the history of why this performance is such a big deal in the history of the band. Always a favourite, particularly this performance of IDZ.
so the title is "no more bullying forever". Ijime is "bullying" and Dame is "no more". so when Su sings Ijime, Moa and Yui are saying Dame, so when Su sings, "bullying", Moa and Yui are saying "no more". and Zettai means forever
So glad you did this one. Such a monumental concert. Owning a hardcore cynical British metal crowd at the ages of 15,15,17 or thereabouts without their pyro, without their huge stage.. just them and a few boxes to jump on so the crowd could see them!!!! Absolutely insane! If you want to totally lose your shit at just how good these girls are.. watch 'The One' compilation or just official.. 'live' of course as that is the ONLY way to see Babymetal. The One is the crowd and their tribute to the crowd. Just soooooooo moving.
One great result of the "Miracle at Sonisphere" are the little glimpses of the side stage where the white people are looking at the stage with amazement and all the Japanese people look like "yep, just another day on the job". It's hilarious.
Great reaction, thanks! Can't blame you for being this one your new favorite. "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" is among my very top favorites. And it was just their second song ever, premiered live in July 2011, (although they decided to release it way later in January 2013, probably because it was "too" straight power metal. Really appreciate you noticed that key change near the end of the song. I really, really enjoy that little thing that most just ignore. And about the Sonisphere performance, winning over that particular crowd and leaving them asking for more can only be described as an epic win. Until next time!
I'm just waiting for the OG Babymetal commenters to fill you in on the story behind this performance, it's a good one. Ijime Dame Zettai basically means, No Bullying Forever. It's an anti bullying song, which is fitting considering some of the bullying they got online by people who didn't consider them "metal".... Luckily for the girls, some big Metal Daddies and Big Bros stepped and show their support for them, like Rob Zombie, Rob Halford, Slipknot, Metallica, and Red Hot Chilli Pepper.... and the rest is epic history. 🤘🦊🤘
If you want to know who did the front flip in the open pit. All is revealed by 2:18 in this reaction below. G.O.T Games - First Time Hearing BABYMETAL "Ijime,Dame,Zettai Live at Sonisphere 2014" Reaction
Ijime(bulling), Dame(no more), Zettai(Absolutely) You can hear them repeat these words throughout the song. At 5:22 sue says Ijime and the two up front say Dame(no more) it repeats and the two girls chant Dame(no more) Dame(no more) Dame(no more).
Good Reaction! It is no coincidence that these women have accomplished miracles here in Nepworth. They had to screw over the domestic metallers first before they could leave Japan. The previous year's festival in Japan, I forget the name, was a much more serious affair. The mood was bizarre. Su-Metal was just as ghoulish as they were then, and the domestic metallers accepted them. And the domestic metallers accepted them. The confidence they had at that time is the reason for Su-Meal's fearless smile here in Sonisphere, and the look on the 16 year old's face in front of 60,000 people gives me goosebumps. Why would these girls risk their lives on a barbaric stage with plastic bottles flying around? Why would they risk their lives on a barbaric stage with plastic bottles flying around? Why would they tour to dangerous Eastern Europe even with Sabaton? This song is the answer.
Great reaction. This song hits me in the feels. as i was bullied at school. Ok it was decades ago and I've put that behind me a long time ago. But there is this part when Moa and Yui goes down on their knees in praying position Su sings these lines that could have been mine those years: Namida mise-zu ni, nakidashi-soona yoru wa kokoro no oku no heya ni hitori. Kizutsuketa no wa hoka no dareka dake ja naku kizuka-nai furi shiteta nakama. I didn't show my tears, and in the night I was about to cry, in a room deep inside my heart, I stayed alone. Those who hurt me were not only someone else, but also those who pretended not to notice. It was my friend.
When Yui and Moa jump, this is what is being said: 1st time Su goes: "Ijime" Yui and Moa: "Dame"" x2, 2nd time Su goes: "Kitsune" Yui and Moa "Tobe!" x2 Sadly that's a festival, they couldn't have done an encore xD Did you notice how Yui tore off a part of her skirt, and it kept getting stuck on her arm? Second album my favourites are Yava and Awadama fever, both with a Kami Band intro! If you do Karate, be aware that the official MV gets often blocked. Probably safer to do the live at DOwnload 2016.
To me, the original trio was just unreached. Though i LOVE them today, 2014-2017 was my fav BM time. Hope you don't sing "dame dame dame" for the rest of the week...That's what I call "catchy". And did you see Yui performing with her ripped tutu like a pro? Greets from Germany and keep on babymetalling...
when i saw them at the last show of their 2023 u.s. tour they did this as the encore. the only show of the tour where it was performed. it was a very special show, and i'm so glad i was there to see it live.
Thanks for the reaction. This was the song they used to close their shows with, fans get to do the 'wall of death' and got to mosh or run around in the circle pit. After that they switched to using Road of Resistance, so IDZ was being used rarely. Their were times fans thought they wouldn't bring it back because it wasn't used for a while and then BAM they would use it again everyone extra excited. In the most recent shows they used both songs, actually the most recent shows even with some of the songs from the recent album which are not as heavy and fast the shows actually were some of the most hype shows ever because it had many of such crowd interaction songs. Fans were worn out physically.
Another reactor I subscribe to was actually there in the audience And he'd completely forgotten about it untill he reacted to this video Also, according to him, the guy who did the flip at the very start of the video, is his brother
Their journey that, if made into a movie, people will say, "exaggerated it a bit, haven't they " But please, if they do, dont let Hollywood do it. 😱 🤣🤘🏼🦊
Good reaction, as usual. This song is the end of what is probably the most important concert for the western fan. Let's get in the background. Babymetal had managed to succeed in Asia, but their style was more easily assimilated than in the West. KobaMetal decided to make the leap to Europe, although they did not have everything with them. He got several concerts in rooms in Germany, France, etc. The fact that they sold out the venues almost immediately after the tickets went on sale, together with the undoubted success of Gimme Chocolate on TH-cam, attracted the attention of the promoters of the Sonysphere, who struck a deal with Amuse to play one of them. of the secondary stages of the festival (about 5000 spectators). The Sonysphere has a peculiarity: it is one of the toughest festivals that exists, because if the public does not like what they hear or see, they directly send you in very bad ways (even bottles with urine). To top it off, a few months before the festival started, they decided to transfer them from the secondary stage to the main one (+50,000 spectators). The girls commented that they were terrified before going on stage, both because their proposal would annoy the western metalhead, more orthodox than the Asian one, and they would have to run away, and that they would find an empty stage (it is estimated that no more than 5% of the public present had heard about them). Well. The result is that today they are the Japanese heavy group that has gone the furthest in the West.
⚡ 💀 💕 / 🚫 You can just call this song "I D Z". BABYMETAL fans will know what you're talking about. My favorite part of 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' is still the part where Su threatens to kick Yui and Moa in the head if they don't stop bullying each other. And this anti-bullying song gets some of the biggest mosh pits. : ) I can't imagine the strength of nerve it took for a 16 year old Su, and just turned 15 year olds Yui and Moa to take that stage. And to leave the crowd wanting more. I'd say they made some new fans that day. They followed this up with a headlining concert at The Forum in London two days later. This was a classic Kami Band line-up with Mikio Fujioka (RIP) and Leda Cygnus on guitars, BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.
Always love the enthusiasm and joy you express watching Su-metal, Yuimetal, and Moametal preform. It reminds me of my first experience with each performance. Please stop calling Yuimetal and Moametal "the twins" they deserved to be called by their metal name. They are not related, though they were chosen because of the similarities.
What are Yui and Moa shouting in their call & response with Su, you ask? It's DAME (pronounced 'dahmeh'), meaning 'bad!' or 'don't do it!', in response to Su-metal's IJIME ('eejeemeh'), 'bullying', and then TOBE ('tohbeh'), 'fly!', in response to Su's KITSUNE, 'fox'. Combined with ZETTAI ('zet-tie'), 'absolutely', the song title comes down to 'bullying is an absolute no-go', or as it says at the end of the video, 'no more bullying, forever'.
Amazing. I always tear up with this performance! You watched the Babymetal guide, so you should know how important this moment was for them. Other comments are telling the story, catch them up! Keep going! Second album is full of ustonishing songs, I can't wait to see you react to them!! 🔥🤘
Greetings sir, I am an intermediate level speaker of Japanese, Babymetal's main language and this is the insights that I offer. Ijime = bullying Dame = no/ no good/ ill-advised/ bad Zettai = absolutely In a nutshell, the lyrics talk about hurting, getting hurt, feeling lonely and helpless, wanting to just give up but then getting over it and saying goodbye to one's past self for a better future. For instance, when the singer says "kino made no jibun sayonara" she says "I bid farewell to yesterday's me". When she says "kurushimi mo, kanashimi mo, subete tokihanatte kimi wo mamoru kara" she says "in pain too, in sorrow too, it's alright, I will protect you".
The crossed arms in front of them are a usual thing in japan if you either strongly disagree or mean to say "stop!" If you ever have noticed the emoji in whatsapp that makes this sign, it comes from that.
YOU STILL HAVE ONE MORE SONG TO DO!! UKI UKI MIDNIGHT! Only one more song to complete the first album. Especially if you like dubstep. Bro!!! One more song, PLEASE! Before moving on to the second album.
Blown** This was my first BM song that I came accross on TH-cam back in 2017. Imagine how confuse and blown away you're at the sight of the girls especially when Yui and Moa ran accross the stage and how this tone singer actuary commanded the stage and those hardcore metalheads.
Bonhzeppelin If you watch back, I actually pointed it out. I say "Oh my gosh! They're fighting! That's so cool!" Not sure the time stamp but it's during that fight choreo.
Flip on your ass guy is another reactor's little brother. He is a BM legend. You need to learn about white shirt guy and a few other fans. Also, you didn't notice Yui's dress was falling apart and she had to untangle herself a few times. She handled it like a pro that people didn't even notice. The twins are saying "Ijime, Dame", lol.

Let's knock it out of the park."
IDZ was the last song of their 25-30 minute set.
Live is the only way to experience them by the way
I know, he's covered so much, I was surprised as well.
He is a "Reactor" just making CON-tent. Most don't know about the groups they react to. As long as they get the Clicks.
Love your comment until the end… official Megitsune, iine and Karate are great.
@@kevinhiggins7838but live they're even better. Life changing, even
@@MrFRNTIK Saw them live last Wednesday. Great show! 🤘🦊🤘
When it comes to Sakura Gakuin members and graduates like Babymetal, I feel they are like nieces.
Babymetal shirts sold out at out at this festival, they sold the most from all bands that long weekend.
@@autohmae YES! Perfect thoughts. Oh yeah and they did sell more merchandise too. 🤘🦊🤘
If you've ever heard of this other reactor G.O.T. Games, hes literally in this crowd and didnt realize he was until he reacted years later on his Babymetal Journey
Also, his brother was the one who did the somersault and landed on his butt at the very beginning of the video.
_Kitsune tobe!_ 🦊🤘🙅♂️
Nice you're back with more BM songs and this time with an epic live performance and a really turning point for them, they will never forget.
The circle pit and wall of death is something regular at BM show, depending on the venue of course, but the crowd will always try to have some fun with crowd surfing and "mosh'sh pit" which is a safer version for people to mosh, althou crowd here don't look like they want that safe mosh'sh pit. lol
At the end they're saying "We Are BabyMetal!", like in almost every live concert to make feel everyone part of the show, is also a line borrowed to X-Japan, another legendary japanese metal band.
Still even now gets me emotionally because of what they achieved here .
😭😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
I never get tired of hearing that crowd chanting "We want more" and "One more song"
Sonissphere 2014 was BABYMETAL 's first music festival outside of Japan. In which launched BABYMETAL 's international stardom.
A rocking performance to bring the house down👊🏽⚡️The show that launched Babymetal internationally.
This was even better considering that grown adults were plotting to disrupt (with some awful things planned) a performance by kids because they were wanting to gatekeep them out of the genre
It's been great watching you go down the foxhole 🦊🤘 Can't wait to see more!

It is this song and it is in 2014 that my most favorite.
The Sonisphere Miracle in the making
Ijime Dame Zettai might sound like a happy song but it's sad and empowering (lyrics provided by du-metal):
Dreaming, I couldn't have even it.
Between the light and the darkness, I stayed alone.
Those who got hurt were not only I myself,
but also those who kept on watching me. It was you.
Confidence, [Have it!]

Ijime(bulling), Dame(no more), Zettai(Absolutely)
You can hear them repeat these words throughout the song.
But there is this part when Moa and Yui goes down on their knees in
praying position Su sings these lines that could have been mine those years:
Namida mise-zu ni,
nakidashi-soona yoru wa
kokoro no oku no heya ni
hitori.
Kizutsuketa no wa
hoka no dareka dake ja naku
kizuka-nai furi shiteta
nakama.
I didn't show my tears,
and in the night I was about to cry,
in a room deep inside my heart,
I stayed alone.
Those who hurt me were
not only someone else,
but also those who pretended not to notice.
It was my friend.
When Yui and Moa jump, this is what is being said:
1st time Su goes: "Ijime"
Yui and Moa: "Dame""
x2,
2nd time Su goes: "Kitsune"
Yui and Moa "Tobe!"
x2
Sadly that's a festival, they couldn't have done an encore xD
Did you notice how Yui tore off a part of her skirt, and it kept getting stuck on her arm?
Second album my favourites are Yava and Awadama fever, both with a Kami Band intro!
If you do Karate, be aware that the official MV gets often blocked. Probably safer to do the live at DOwnload 2016.
Ijime,dame,zettai : No more bullying forever 🤘🦊🤘
To me, the original trio was just unreached. Though i LOVE them today, 2014-2017 was my fav BM time. Hope you don't sing "dame dame dame" for the rest of the week...That's what I call "catchy". And did you see Yui performing with her ripped tutu like a pro? Greets from Germany and keep on babymetalling...
The day Babymetal conquered the West.
when i saw them at the last show of their 2023 u.s. tour they did this as the encore. the only show of the tour where it was performed. it was a very special show, and i'm so glad i was there to see it live.
Another reactor I subscribe to was actually there in the audience
And he'd completely forgotten about it untill he reacted to this video
Also, according to him, the guy who did the flip at the very start of the video, is his brother
If the great director, David Lean (Dr. Zihvago, Lawrence of Arabia) could make The Story Of BabyMetal, this would be the ending of Part I.
Their journey that, if made into a movie, people will say, "exaggerated it a bit, haven't they "
But please, if they do, dont let Hollywood do it.

You can just call this song "I D Z".
I can't imagine the strength of nerve it took for a 16 year old Su, and just turned 15 year olds Yui and Moa to take that stage.
Omg, yui is so professional that i didnt even notice the wardrobe Malfunction on Stage. Holy shit🤩
OOO, and this was their first show ever outside of Japan
At the end of the concert where you reacted to Black BabyMetal song 4, three girls walked into the coffin. Then they flew to the UK to perform this.
IDZ still stands the best song for me🎉
Ijime = bullying
Dame = no/ no good/ ill-advised/ bad
Zettai = absolutely
In a nutshell, the lyrics talk about hurting, getting hurt, feeling lonely and helpless, wanting to just give up but then getting over it and saying goodbye to one's past self for a better future.

🤩🤩
👍 👍
So many more great LIVE performances by these young ladies and their Kami Band yet to see. Maybe more favorites lurking? I think so.
Good reaction!🦊🦊🦊
I love su's smile
I think you haven't done the normal version of Akatsuki at Budoken Black Night concert yet, looking forward to that that one too, see you 🤟🦊🤟
何と歌っているかより何を歌っているかを知りましょう!
The first track I'll recommend from the second album is "The One." It is a love letter to the fans. th-cam.com/video/TZRvO0S-TLU/w-d-xo.html
You got to change your theme song I can't take it. still waiting on sis anger your channel is awesome
😭🤣🔥
Amazing reaction mate
I really hope you could react to No Rain No Rainbow 2014 Budokan live version 🙏
Told ya you'd be blown away...
Blown**
This was my first BM song that I came accross on TH-cam back in 2017. Imagine how confuse and blown away you're at the sight of the girls especially when Yui and Moa ran accross the stage and how this tone singer actuary commanded the stage and those hardcore metalheads.
Um they’re saying Ijime and Dame
There you got it!
Dood! U missed the Fight Choreography! \🙄/
Bonhzeppelin If you watch back, I actually pointed it out. I say "Oh my gosh! They're fighting! That's so cool!" Not sure the time stamp but it's during that fight choreo.
😁😁😁🤘🤘🤘💪
Flip on your ass guy is another reactor's little brother. He is a BM legend. You need to learn about white shirt guy and a few other fans.
Also, you didn't notice Yui's dress was falling apart and she had to untangle herself a few times. She handled it like a pro that people didn't even notice.
The twins are saying "Ijime, Dame", lol.
Love the reaction, I wish next reaction, Babymetal Ft Bring Me The Horizon - Kingslayer
