Any time! Make sure to run like a 6' 12# leader for good turnover. It's important that your fly hits before your line on delivery as most bass will sense it on impact and it just gets bit more when the fly makes a unique plop and then your fly line settle down soft. We like the RIO Big Nasty leaders for this fly!
Will do. I need to get out for Tiger Musky. We have a lake nearby but I've only seen them while bass fishing and even the small ones bite my leader in half. Seems like I'm never prepared for them even though I have access to every piece of fly gear on the planet!
Great question. I personally strip set, I've been so trained to do that on anything with a tight line so I'll usually "find 'em" with the strip set then bring it home with my rod tip.
Great video, fellas. Need to pick up a few of those RIO Foam Slice frogs. Thank again.

Good info Joe
Thanks 👍!
Awesome video! Still waiting on more warmwater species...... especially the toothy critters!

Do you find more success with strip-sets or trout sets with these flies?

Very poor hook up ratio on that fly, I'll stick to double barrel poppers and deer hair sliders
