It's ironic how people speak of McCain. When he was running for president, he was mocked for being old, out of touch, and heckled mercilessly, including at the 2008 GOP convention. McCain could hardly draw a crowd, numbering on average only 1,000 people. Part of the problem was he never expressed clear policy ideas. Most of his lines were about being a "Maverick" and how he often bucked his own party. He was quick to defend then Sen. Obama but he never voiced the frustrations of the American people who felt scared, abandoned or forgotten. Platitudes alone could not carry him over the finish line, but when he chose Gov. Sarah Palin, the then governor of Alaska, the campaign was suddenly injected with new energy. Crowds began showing up in large numbers to her rallies, even rivaling Sen. Obama's rallies in size. She became a fighter in the race and that's what the GOP voters wanted. That's when media began focusing on her and the Democratic campaign noticed and began attacking her for a variety of issues, including for the "bridge to nowhere." What really destroyed McCain's campaign was when the economic crisis began to unfold and he suspended his campaign to go back to DC as senator. There's no energy when there is no candidate. In the final weeks of the race, Gov. Palin began publicly criticizing McCain's campaign for giving up Michigan while the campaign began attacking Gov. Palin, blaming her for the upcoming loss. McCain would go on to praise President Obama during his concession speech while snubbing Gov. Palin, a snubbing which lasted to his death, even refusing to invite her to his funeral. But now in retrospect, people forget all of that and all they remember are the speeches. Not the mood, the culture, or the history. Just the speeches.

Sure buddy
@@jakeblake415 so, Trump's "concepts of a plan" isn't a sign of having no answer or solution for American problems? Hypocrisy.
If anything it’s been the democrats who have been creating hate because they constantly talk about race. Also we were sick and tired of the woke bs and the inflation.
Really sucks seeing everything on Al gore knowing he technically won, feel bad for the dude, and thankful that Florida fixed their voting system
Donald Trump is unique in so many ways
1. The orange-est president we've had
2. The only man to be oldest presidential candidate twice (70 in 2016, 78 in 2024)
3. The only man to be impeached twice while in office.
4. The only president to deny election results (do a little research on the 22nd amendment)
5. The second man to win two nonconsecutive terms.
6. The least politically experienced president in United States history (2016, he had no office and Clinton was a Senator for 8 years and Sec. of State under Obama for 4. 2020, almost a term as president and Biden had been in Congress since the 70s. 2024, one presidential term and Harris was a Senator for 4 years, AG of California for 6 years; a campaign in which Donald Trump donated; VP for 4 years, and DA for San Francisco for 7 years)
Trumps also looks really bad. But in a way I can’t fault him for it. More people voted than any election due to the pandemic. Those people will likely never vote again. 20 million extra people chose to vote. To him it does look fishy. But analyze the times we were in and realize there were stories of people saying it’s their first time voting. People were tired of the pandemic.
Mitt Romney actually had fans who liked him for congratulating President Obama while senator John McCain had a lot hate for calling senator Obama
And now we need John McCain more than ever ! To prevent obamacare from being repealed !
10/10 would lol again
wtf is obamacare 😅
@@Dobbythecat123 the ACA. Lots of people use it to get health care that they need in order to survive. If it's repealed many people (don't have the money to pay for medication) and will most likely die.
Idk but Al Gore is more presidential to me than Bush Jr. Sucks that he lost the election in a critical and crucial way.
Trump's is so embarassing...
your mom
Bro biden and Kamala are embarrassing 😂😂
@@ThemobileUnity he didnt concede in 2020 he's a loser kamala conceded
@@HeresJohnny19 at least there kind and friendly and arent sore losers like donald
@@DesmondSeamen bro kind and friendly Kamala is the nastiest person alive and Biden is just stupid everything he does destroys our country
opponent, not my enemy. what a great man. rip bob dole.
Trump is so damn embarrassing and immature
its sad how john mccane vs barack obama like both are great as it appears but then we have this
Trump😂😂😂 never accepted defeat n he is back.. !!
My president is back 😂 😊😊
@yourmajesty7592 I have his book "Never give up". The man fights back come what
That’s why I like this badass President!!
That’s why I voted for him again.
I like the 2020 one 😁
I Like Al Gore Conceding To George Bush II.
Wonder what Charles C Pinckney said after his two losses
That look on her face on the end. Will she really engage in a peaceful transition of power or do underhanded things like her "recount" fundraiser?
I will always give Florida shade bc of that 2000 election. 🙄
McCain is probably one of the Best if bot the best candidate who never won the presidency. When he defended Obama against the republican crowd, that is class at its peak. He knew what Obama meant to the public, and he aknowledged it.
We all knew what was coming 😂
Donald J. Trump's speech was appalling.
Quite a weak approach in 2020, very cry baby.
Congratulations for 2024 though.
losing election in trump language be like: 😢😢😢😭
OMG, AL is hooooooot😢😢😢😢😢
Broski is simping for a president. 💀💀💀
Trump was a bad loser.
And he was elected 2 times as president 😂🤣
@@Abcdefdjdjdjdthat doesn’t mean anything, I support trump but still think how he handled losing 2020 was bad
@@doggo9326 so what
People don't care about that. If so then how did he again elected😂
@@doggo9326 The only thing was bad was having that so called stop the steal rally on January 6th.
@@Abcdefdjdjdjdbecause he has experience and they are running out of people
I'd really like to see if Biden could beat Trump again with everything we know now, especially without the aid of a pandemic.
as a republican, that voted for trump, that speech was very selfish. the fact that i still voted for someone who’s personality i didn’t like, but i think they can run america safely, shows that i actually want a great leader. i’m not looking for a bestie, i’m looking for a president.
Here lies the problem. Not conceding effectively means that the very foundation of the republic was damaged. A president must never deny election results
John marcain is just the best politician i have ever seen in my life time.
Don't know who John Marcain is.
Al Gore, John Kerry, Mc Cain,Hilları Clinton,Trump (2020) and Kamala were candidates i supported.
about McCain winning but not Romney, Obama is a cool and nice guy. But McCain is better.
15 million missing voters... Hmm...
There are STILL some votes being counted.
California is still being counted.
@askosefamerve
but still did they pull something👺
@@DanDCool Who pulled something?
Oops, Democrats might storm White at any moment rn, 😂and those are the 15 Million😂
The American govt and politicians have Gove so far down hill and is so unprofessional anymore.
Political alignment aside, shoutout to all the candidates who gracefully accepted their loss and conceded with dignity. I can’t imagine what it would be like having a candidate throwing tantrums and refusing to concede until an insurrection occurs. That would be terrible!
Hilary's we as more diplomatic than i thought.
