Dudes going to play Bethpage Black with a Top Flite ball? That's like having dinner at a 2 star Michelin restaurant and pairing your dinner with a glass of koolaid.
I heard through most people who did the walk-up line that you only need to show up at about 400A to get in line. Two days before to play the Black? I'd just keep trying my luck at the telephone reservation.
Yeah but you get the first tee time available after all of the walkups are signed up. The times I did that I always got mid afternoon around 3:30-4:00. Not sure what your luck was.
I understand the bracelet, but what's the point of the bakery tickets? Everybody in line knows who's ahead of and behind them, so wouldn't that determine the order of when starting times are sold?
great video!!! check out my video, i did 48 hours in the car as well. i played may 30, 2009, 2 days before the black was shut down for the US open. btw...does everyone hit it left on the first tee? seems like an easy fairway, but it was the hardest to hit in the US open i think.

Was there last night, hanging with Tiger for the Barclay- we got a Friday Noon tee time. Piece of cake.! ☺
It's so easy to get a tee time. Just call a week in advance, the night before at 7pm. We do it regularly

I live 10 minutes away from black and im in high school so my friend and I play black regularly on Fridays, no one is there on Fridays
Maybe it was super popular right after the us open in 2009?
@@SethMacLeod95 became popular again and in much better condition right before the 2002 US Open
Freaking Awesome!
Assuming i can take my handicap to single digits by summers end, I'll be playing @ Bethpage in early '10.
Did you make it happen champ?
Yeeaaaah did you you make it happen!?

Do people still do this? That's insane

Played last Friday and there were already cars lined up at 3pm for the next day
Yeah, I would wait about 15 minutes, probably because I've played many famous golf courses.
