Great looking kit guys, hope we get to see you racing it once completed! Chassis looks simple but effective, but there looks like a lot of work in that body! Cool upgrades, those high torque steering servo savers certainly help a bit with that all too common steering slop that most Tamiyas suffer from! The aluminium prop shaft is also essential for outside running, I've lost track of how many plastic shafts I've had eroded through by on board gravel and stones! That is a re badged hobby wing 1060,they make them for Tamiya and some Kyosho kits now.... pretty sure that will be within the racing rules! Fun little project lads, looking forward to following along. 👍 👍 👍
Thanks for the heads up on ESC, don’t want to be disqualified for Doping 😂 I don’t think I’ll drive myself as I’m more into narrowly missing crashes and I don’t want to cheese some hardcore racer off by ploughing into his championship truck 🤣😂👍
I love this truck but have not gotten one as I do not want to do all the stickers on it! It is a really good looking truck but there are so many stickers needed to get it looking like it does on the box. You are smart for using the key ones and going with whatever else seems to call out and say it belongs on there! LOL! Looking forward to seeing it built up! It is definitely going to be 2 hours on the chassis and 10 hours on the body!
I recently built this one, I really enjoyed it, I did mine in the world champ Craig Smith colours (same as box art but swapping the white for high viz yellow) looks amazing! Mines a shelf queen now after a five minute play out the front.. Might race it one day when I can get over myself . Look forward to seeing more of yours👍
Great truck. You added the right upgrades for this chassis. I'm pretty sure it's a Hobbywing 1060. Please do the tire sniff next time😂😂😂. Have fun with the build
I had the Euro truck version of this kit and it runs really well. Bit more fiddly to get the front and rear diff cases together than the TT-02 but over all a solid little chassis. Be interesting to see how you paint the body and how you get on at the track. Cheers for now guys 😁👍👍
Interested to see the finished truck. 👍 I'm currently in the middle of putting one of these together myself. The chassis was pretty straightforward... The body and decals...not so! 😅
Yes I think the body is going to be a right pain, the TT01E is a really friendly chassis to work with but this shell looks like it needs a master craftsman or it will look like a dogs dinner! Good luck with yours and any top tips will be appreciated 👍
I think that’s the plan if they will let us. I think it’s best the Chief Engineer drives and I will film, as don’t want to have to fill in insurance forms 😂🤣👍
@@RCsoandso you will be fine! I suspect your lipo reluctance will hamper performance a tad though, the tamiya/carson 1060 is totally legal as it’s kit supplied btw.
My completely uninformed guess is that the ESCs are the same as cheap motors - they all come from the same factory, the only difference is some branding and maybe quality control to set the price point. So not literally a Hobbywing, but from the same factory.

Yes should keep the Chief Engineer busy and out of trouble over Christmas. I guess he will have to make sure he has his glasses on 🧐😂👍
Box stock truck racing sounds like a blast. Just make sure you don't watch the other RC channels and fall for their naughty hints and tips, haha!

I have seen some in that yellow, I didn’t realise it was a proper livery, looks good though, hope ours looks equally as good 🤞

The chassis is already together, I think the hard part will be the shell. I doubt we will be sniffing tyres, sounds like a gateway to other vices 🤔👍
@@RCsoandso yupp, the shell is time consuming, but thinking of my Merc Tamiya gives you a high quality and everything fits perfect.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen this particular truck.
I’ve seen a few on the top shelves of hobby shops, I think that’s why they use it for racing as it’s just a TT01E. Should be good 👍

That’s good to know with the ESC. We have faith in the mighty NiMH. We will use the good electricity for it 🤣👍
ESC IS MADE BY HOBBYWING FOR THE TAMIYA KITS ONLY TBLE 1060 RTR
I think as it was unbranded it threw the Chief Engineer 👍
@@RCsoandso I was told tamiya had a agreement with hobbywing to supply the kits whith. There 1060 ESC but used a tamiya TBLE code number

No it's not ... that's a clone looking like a 1060. RC Kleinkram made a Video on the ESCs (but in german).
