I just want you to know that I think of this video whenever I hear this song and when I think of the history and lore of House Targaryen. Even after all these years, I can't separate the two after seeing this video. I know there are other videos with this song and concept, but I always come back to yours because it's so beautifully done. It really hits me in my Targaryen feels. You're so talented and did a remarkable job with this one!
I wonder how things would've turned out if Daenerys would've been born earlier and wed Rhaegar. Would the Targareyans still rule? Would Rhaegar have still taken Lyanna? Would the dragon have 3 heads? The world will never know.

Wow, the cinematographic construction is pretty awesome! I like how Viserys turns into black and white after he died. Also, Bernard Hill as Aerys the Mad King was a great fancasting choice. And I believe you inclued the headcanon of Jon Snow being the son of Lyanna instead of Ned? (it's mine too) Good job, the final result is gorgeous.

If you don't want to know the theory don't read this (SPOILER?): It is suggested that Jon Snow is the Son of Lyanna Stark (Eddard's former sister) and Rhaegar targaryen. Even though Rhaegar was engaged to Elia Martell, he abducted Lyanna Stark during the dragon wars, for they eventually had a love relationship. If so there is a theory that Jon Snow is actually the child of Rhaegar and Lyanna and therefore half Targaryen, half Stark. Eddard claimed him to be his bastard son to safe Jon, for this fate would have been better than being a Targaryen descendant. That's also why Eddard has been so much against slaughtering Daenerys in the first season- Since his own sister was deeply in love with Daenerys older brother.
Jep, that is true. But it is also known that Elia Martell cared for their children and raised them mostly all by herself. Rhaegar never really loved her. Sansa and Baelish talk about it in the Winterfell catacombs (I believe that's where it's been) in Season 6.

I agree that this song could fit Rhaegar (although we don't know the motives for actions but possibly it suits him) but it is so opposite to everything that Dany stands for. The song is about turning away from the fight for power, it's about giving up all of that and just staying 'safe and tucked away' at home. Dany is power hungry, all she cares about is 'reclaiming' (not that it was ever her's) the Iron Throne. This song is against everything she is.
u clearly have no idea who Dany is..she enjoys power but shes faaaar from power hungry. a power hungry queen would have taken over Westeros at the first chance possible and her greatest wish would have been to reclaim the throne. Dany is in a state of denial and trying to convince herself of what she wants. she constantly repeats that she wants the iron throne but in reality, all her dreams and inner subconscious wants one thing, a simple life with a loved one in a house with a red door. shes constantly avoiding Westeros and uses every excuse out there to stop herself from going there. the books have made Power = Westeros, and Dany is practically running away from Westeros.

I'm well aware of the life she wants but the fact is she is still under the control of her brother's brainwashing and so she is power hungry. Maybe not for her own sake, but for the sake of her family line. She would sure as hell wear the 'broken crown' given the chance. Maybe she'll come to her senses in the future but for now she is blinded by family duty.
Caleigh Daenarys doesn't understand family. I don't think she ever really wanted the Iron Throne. Her brother did, that's why he married her to Khal In the first place to get his army. But after she stood by and watched him get killed she made it her mission to get the crown. If it wasn't for her brother she wouldn't be where she is now. She wouldn't have the idea to take the throne. He was cruel, yes, and mad but so is Dany. She's already showed the signs of the Targaeryn madness. Once Dany dies there won't he anymore Targaeryns who can control dragons. Jon snow is a Targaeryn. But he was raised by the Starks and will always be a Stark. The only way there will he any more Targaeryns is if Jon marries Dany and they have a child. But Jon is Lord Commander of the Nights Watch. He broke his vows once he won't break them again. Dany single handily screwed her own family. were a powerful family. They're legends in Westeros. Their bodies having being buried under buildings and having furniture carved out of their ashes. They were a powerful family and now after Danys dead there won't be any more. She isn't fit to be a Queen. Or a ruler. She'll die eventually cause that's what She deserves.
