Unlikely, since the first release of this kit was in 1999 from Accurate Miniatures. Perhaps you are thinking of the old Revell kit that dates back to 1968?
Hello mr sam!well done maestro!thank you for ur efforts.i truely appreciate them.thank u4sharing.with best regards and sticky greetings from Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian
Terrific job, SS. A very enjoyable video with lots of great ideas shown. Great save with the tail sitting....you wouldn't even know that you had to cut your way in to add more weight. You must be very happy with the final result 👍
That was absolutely an outstanding build and weathering finish on the B-25, and nice to see one on RAF markings, you also have yourself another subscriber, bext regards from Australia 👍👍👍
The Academy B-25C/D kit, like the Revell B-25 D kit is a rebox of the Accurate Miniatures kit of 20 od years back. That kit came with nose weights. Revell remind you to add weight, Academy didn't. Knowing the origin of the moldings helps. But you did a great job on that lovely Mitchell.
Anytime I build an Academy kit I try and go back and find the original Accurate Miniatures edition on Scalemates and download the instructions from there. Like having a second opinion on placement of parts, colors, etc. Also, as someone presently working on the Academy B-25D "Pacific Theater" and altering it to Doolittle Raider B, the Accurate Miniatures B instructions definitely address the nose weight issue. They actually had templates on the box that are intended to be rectangles of brass sheets cut to particular sizes to fill the spot you put the fishing weight. Nothing like this is on the box or included in the instructions for the Academy one as I recall.
Very nice to watch this build as I have just bought the same kit. You've given me plenty of ideas and food for thought! What weight did you eventually end up putting in the nose, I haven't got any weights in my kit so will have to purchase before I build. Thanks again for an excellent build video.
J'adore regarder et m'instruire. Je débute dans la maquette, j'en ai fait énormément jeune et puis j'suis passé à autre chose, merci pour c'est vidéos qui donnent envie
It's fantastic work, looks phenomenal! But couldn't you ditch the crappy music and actually talk and explain some of the things that you're doing? As a relatively new modeller (but 73 years old), I had so many questions while watching this video, and was pretty much left in the dark about how and why you were doing certain things. Fascinating to watch, especially how it turned out, but wish that I had learned more while watching..

Terrific, great job, the detail about the tail sitting was very ilustrious, , thanks for showing.
Thank you very much!
Built this exact kit with my grandfather when I was a kid. Still have it today, although after forty four years it doesn’t look as good as this build.
Thank you for the story! Thank you also for watching!

Thank you! The lack of weight has been a bad surprise. The build was finished when I discovered that I'll have to cut the bird..😭
Awesome build ! I really Wish WE could get a Kit this nice in 1/72 scale !!!
Thank you very much!

Thank you for this very usefull comment. I wish I had such instruction in the kit to avoid a bad surprise.
Hello! Where did you get the masks to protect the windows? ?? 12:47
Thanks for watching! The masks are provided in the kit, wich is very helpull.
@@studiosam4350 thanks!!
At the end, how much weigth is necesary?
Thank you for watching and for your comment! The final weight is 30g.
Thanks for sharing
You're welcome! Thank YOU for watching!🙂
That's something that's not often in the instructions putting eight in the front of the aircraft to keep the nose down.
Yes it's not. I know Tamiya does.
Great! what is the l black liquid for wheatering? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! The black liquid is a mix of oil colors. Burnt amber, black, and yellow ocre.
@@studiosam4350 fantástic! Very thanks!
You're welcome!
Wondering did you seal the model with a matt/gloss clear coat before weathering or after?
Thanks for watching! I seal my models with a Mr Color Clear Gloss GX-I00 first. Then the final coat is a clear matt GX-114.🙂

Thank you for your comment! I think I had to put a total of 30g. But if you can, put more than less if you see what I mean! Good build yo you!!
Magnifique 👍👍👍

Thank you for your comment Mike. I understand what you say. I will certainly talk during my video someday. 🙂
Very nicely done ! did you spray a matt coat before you weathered it? I built the same kit but a different company and so many issues . ✌Canada✌
Thank you! Yes I sprayed a matt coat., GX114 from Mr Hobby to be precise.
What do you use to glue the parts together?
I use Tamiya thin cement and Basic Cyano Glue.
Thank you for watching!
👍👍👍
Thanks!
👌🔥
Thank you very much!
Nige build of a great model, as it is TH-cam you need to work better on your camera setup as most of the video is terribly out of focus.
Thank you! About the focus problem, I work on it.
Way to recover!
Thank you!
I would of just used tiny sticky on tire
Thank you for watching!
