yellow dessert It's ground soybeans. Bring to boil in sugar syrup. The noodles you eat yellow noodles are egg noodles. and green noodles It is egg noodles like yellow but green. If it is a famous restaurant, it uses spinach or kale to blend and mix with flour + egg. Thai green noodles are called Bamee Yok or Jade noodles. And the pineapple you eat Its shape is small because it is its species. There is also a smaller pineapple called Phu Lae Pineapple. It is a pineapple that is about the size of a tennis ball and has a sweet taste. You can eat the whole Phu Lae pineapple in one bite. If refrigerated, it will be delicious.😁😁🙏🙏
At 3:00 it is a Thai dessert called “med khanoon” originally from Portuguese. Back in Ayutthaya era, we had trades and exchanges of goods, food, and many things including dessert from the West.
Thank you for the history! We would have never guessed that it came from Portugal. It is nice how different countries trade foods like that and iterate on them 😊
Again such a great vid. Funny, lively, informative, culinary, economical and yet helpful for seasoned and would-be visitors. It is such a pleasure to see you two bumble through the best parts of Thailand. I only wish you had so much more time to spend over there so you could enjoy some more and let us enjoy it with you. Your channel gives so much hope to the hard hit people of Thailand and even more joy to those that can't travel there yet. You are rays of sunshine in today's dark and gloomy world. Maybe it would be a good idea for our so-called leaders to follow your example: pack up, buy a cheap ticket, put on their sneakers and travel to see and enjoy this beautiful and exciting planet. In the morning have a coffee and some fruit or pastry. Life is beautiful. Let's keep it that way. It's called peace. 🤔🤔😭❤❤❤✊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Anyway, I'll have some Thai food for dinner. Dream away to sunny shores, reminisce. Memories. Stay safe and healthy. We need some sanity, joy, laughter and love. Keep being that example for us. 💗🤟🤟🤟
Your comments about some of the leaders in this world are poignant, and very appropriate given what is happening in Ukraine and many other places right now. Hopefully we can all learn to value peace a little more than money someday.
The market is really cheap and full of delicious dishes. The yellow sweet thumb size inside is really green bung bean (taking green skin out). It is my favorite for over 60 years since I was young. It is chewy and not too sweet. The iced fresh coffee at 30 baht is a bargain. I thought my housing village selling the same takeaway size at 35 baht for the last 10 years was a bargain already as I had never heard there was cheaper any where in Thailand for the last 10 years. The cheapest I could find outside my housing village was 40 baht. Now you two open my eyes: 30 baht!
the green noodle is made by the same method as egg yellow noddle but instead using plain water , they use chinese broccoli or veggie juice. from my understanding, green noodle has more chewiness than the yellow.
This is one of my favorite market in Bangkok. If you walk till almost the edge of this alley then turn right you will find a house of ancient Thai medicine that serve also as a mini museum where you can still see ancient medical equipment, people hands on making secret Thai medical from more than 100 yrs ago. Stay safe and enjoy your journey!
Great. Never heard of this market. If you like the green noodles, go to one of the MK restaurants you see all over Thailand. They are really good there, with roasted duck and dim sum.
The spicy sugar packet gives the fruit an extra kick in flavor. Try it by dipping a piece of pineapple or green mango. Visit Wanglang Market for a more immersive street food experience.
You guys should go back to Thailand after covid. I think it will be another experience you'll never forget. Everything should be more lively and hopefully cheaper!! However don't drive in Bangkok. If you think Los Angeles is bad, wait til Bangkok gets back to normal. Bangkok is almost double LA's traffic I think. Also, be careful of pick pocket people. Anyhow, great videos and Safe travels guys!
Definitely! We can’t wait to experience the other, livelier side of Thailand. Hopefully things will be completely back to normal in the next year or two 🙂
@@OnePackWanderers I have heard they are planning on July 2022 to have open borders with no pcr tests, no quarantine, no restrictions. Of course they always keep changing their rules. Hopefully the endempic is near. I can't wait to go back to Thailand. You guys have fun and take care!

Hi guys, I've been bingeing your travel videos of Thailand and really appreciate all the content/information! Can I ask a huge favor from you guys and add Google Map directions/link to the places featured in your videos? A few locations in your videos I wasn't able to find and it's really a bummer. For example, this market in the video I'm not able to find the actual name or on Google Map. Can you provide? Thanks!
Good to see things picking up in the Bangkok markets. I'm with you Cheveyo. I'm also more into savory, salty, spicy and umami versus sweet flavors. Yep hungry now...time for some Thai! Although Tia's Thai pronunciation is impeccable 😆, how do you spell the name of this market?
This made from yellow beans cover with egg yolks and sugar believe me I’m Thai.Jackfruits seed you can boiling with salt water when it done taste like beans it is very far from this sweet thing.
They put the food in a plastic container and put the plastic container in a plastic bag then they give you plastic utensils and then you throw it away. I like your videos but there’s just way too much single use plastic being used. 😢
You're right. This is something that bothers us too. In fairness, I think a lot of people in Thailand have more pressing things to worry about. But on our end, I know we can do better. Back home we recycled everything, used our own bags, food containers, etc. We've really been caught up in just going with the flow, so to speak. I think it's time to look for a portable food container.
nice place to shop , and another one on the list , i do notice that theres a lot of fried food and kindoff fatty foods , since i had a gestric sleeve operation done im loosing enough weight to fit in an airline seat but im still wondering if i can eat enough and not get sick (bread like dough , fatty , and realy chewy food doesnt go down well right now , but thats 6 months after the procedure) do like chicken and rice though ..... i think i manage i know ways to get food i can eat in thailand , the magic word is : supermarket all fun aside i seen on other vids that theres a big vegan comunity there too , seems they have a sighn near there stand to show people that they dont serve meat , its mostly veggies beans and soya , the guy with this channel is vegan himself and visits a lot of these places ( ausy guy channels called Esquire Unlimited) been looking deeper intoo hotels (for some reason prices for the budget hotels become visible only 2,5 months or so in advance on sites like kayak and sky scanner , there likely be a verry little window to book a cheapish place in advance in the highseason) and found a reasonable cheap one i want to stay at the first few days (with verry mixed reviews btw) and its a room without a window......thats verry near the center and a 5 minute walk from the bts , from wat i read you can take the airport train intoo town transfer then the bts to the hotel room must be somewhere in the middle of the building and hopefully quiet and dark as i probably only sleep there , store my stuff and use it as holliday central to dip my toes in the different directions in bangkok im realy looking intoo wat to go see in the three weeks im going to spend there , i want to be at the Central World Plaza or the sky bar for the thai new year celebration other than that i just have a list of interesting things i might go see , have a few massages (offcourse) , maibe a haircut and some other stuff i think i allso have to see if i like bangkok enough to stay there or if i want to flee to the more quiet and peacefull chiang mai after the first week im there probably make more than one list of things to see seperated per region and winddirection
If you value peace and quiet then getting a room without a window is wise. Bangkok is definitely a noisy city. It's a wonderful city with a lot of things to do and great energy. But, noisy. There's an endless number of high quality malls there too. I think Chiang Mai only has two major malls and they are comparatively much smaller. For shopping, MBK is probably the best mall for reasonably priced clothes. Many of the other malls have western stores but the prices are more or less the same as the west too.

We are sad that we never went to the Green Lung. It is still under construction, right? Maybe next time we can see it when it's finished 🙂
"Tuay-fu" is Thai name of snack/dessert on your clip, not meaning the word "Tofu" in English.
Yes, and meaning = fluffy cup.
