Nice tutorial. Wish I had found this video before I paid someone to install one of these for me. FYI, if you want, you can mount the white box behind the console, then drill a little hole in the back of the cubby hole to pass the wire through that connects to the ipod. That way you don't have the white box taking up valuable space in the cubby hole! It's a little extra work and may require some extra tools but it's worth it to have the extra space.
Very helpful, FYI, this connector can be reached thru the HVAC controls hole without removing the head unit....saves a bunch of time and potential broken clips....at least on a 2005 Camry.
@age6racers The PA15TOY does not have a DIP switch. You actually choose the operating mode by changing the "CD number" from the radio. When using "CD 7", it operates in "playlist" mode. When using "CD 8" it operates in "Direct mode". Hope this helps.
Thanks so much for this! I want to try and do this myself, but know NOTHING about care stereo installation.. Is the PA15TOY better for a 2006 Camry than the PA12-TOY I thought the PA12-TOY gave more flexibility for the user interface, (shows up text on screen, and can use wheel controls) but I don't know.
I can't get the cord through the center compartment! The cord won't go through the little hole on the side.. the cord is too big and won't pass through? how do you pull off the door?

Thank you! This was the most helpful video on installing the usa spec pa15-toy.
Thank you so much. This helped me a lot in removing the panels.
