Oh I SEE NOW!! I’ve been wondering why the games look SO good! And the soundtrack is to die for 😭 I’m so in love with these games. I need more games from this team. They’re fantastic.
Really? It was fucking easy for me, I first tried it without trouble, including the midway escape sequence. I had found one of the 25% bonus damage thing at that point, true, but still.
I finished Mouldwood last on my first playthrough not too long ago, and when I defeated her I had a great sense of accomplishment as she was tough, then as soon as I saw the little spider nudging Mora (I had flashbacks to the Luma Pools Boss Fight as a result) I immediately felt guilty, then relieved when I saw she was free from the Decay. This game really can make you have a rush of emotions, and that's why I love it.
6:55 The moment where the game takes your satisfaction with having kicked the big bad spiderdemon's ass, and transforms it into a subtle sense of remorse and melancholy...telling you that violence may sometimes inevitable but always comes at a cost. I love this game!
Definitely my favourite part of the game - love the entire area, love the fight and even more, that once we defeat her, she becomes our friend... I love spiders
I remember having so much trouble with that first phase. Like dying so many times. I was getting really exhausted by the time I hit that transition part, and then at the start of Phase 2, the theme started to pick up and immediately I was given new hope and energy.
I came here to say that I just beat this one last night. First boss of the wisps missions and it was absolutely epic and quite hard! It took several tries to get this one done and particularly in the end game of the battle, it just rages and that music is undeniable. Such a satisfying battle and a useful ability to take home from it.
I wish I was more prepared fighting this boss instead of spending 5 hours with no health and without flash. It was super cool tho and the music oh my god
Ngl, before the boss fight I thought its gonna be hard af. But no one told me the grapple is the one thats hard (I couldnt reach that grapple point during the chase for 10 mins straight) but did both phases 1 try. The boss fight is more like horn beetle but harder.
Tough deciding whether mora or sheik is the best boss. I was absolutely blown away when I played this boss. Just perfect in all regards, this game was a joy all the way through, I honestly could not point out a single flaw or low point for this game. Game design, graphics, story, music, combat, platforming, bosses, quests, overall enjoyment… literally perfect game imo. But… wow the player in this clip sucks
can anyone help me ? After i defeat the boss when the wisp gets freed my screen gets white and my computer crashes i cant continue without proceeding help me
Sorry to hear (and what a rotten time for your computer to crash). Have you tried clearing your cache, restarting, and freeing up memory by uninstalling some games? If so to no avail, you may need to contact a computer expert
Spiders freak me the hell out, hell I even returned a game once because it had too many of them in game. But this was made ok by the graphics and music
I played on siwtch and there were 2 check points in the fight. The first fight when you drop her to 50% health and she start breaking the room. The second after the chase
I just spend 2 hours, this fight lasted 40 minutes to me, why? because apart of hard difficulty i had this skill that not only increase 70% enemies damage, it also increase 70% health just to earn more light points. xD just in case someone want to play this like a fucking darksouls.
What I don't get it is when you're called Cinematic Gaming why can't you just upload a good attempt? Like not where you tank the boss with Ori's face and have to cut the video, with noticeable music cuts I don't get it. The first phase you can quickly dodge away with one button press. No damage. It makes the boss fight twitchy and fun. You finish with 3 health and cut to the next attempt mid escape sequence, where you have 4 health. Just try it again and upload a good cinematic attempt of this.
How do I get this glow with Ori when the light turns off? This part of the fight turns out to be super frustrating because the darkness kills me everytime lol
haha i just watched this vid after I (experienced gamer, likes the so called hardest games) wnet to this region first after visiting froggy on normal(!) mode and i did not do any damage whatsoever and the boss ate me alive. I could barely make it to the escape sequence after 10-15 minutes. After watching this, I removed the bounty badge from my inventory and everything went much smoother :D So: If your wearing bounty for farming, remove it for this and probably any other boss
I can’t for the life of me complete the last two stages. I try and use the fire arrow things and they do a lot of damage when they hit, but the damn spider has the hit box the size of a penny I mostly miss Update: I beat her!!! It took me 7 hours but I feel on top of the world lol
After how hard Kwolok was, I'm a little disapointed by this boss. Like, Mora's attacks are incredibly easy to avoid, so even thought she has a decent ammount of hp and several phases with an escape sequence in the middle, it's just not a challenge at all. I beat her first try, while Kwolok killed me probably ten times. As if it wasn't enought, Baur's reach didn't have a boss, only a relatively easy escape sequence. Overall, the luma pools, despite being a water level, was my favorite of the three wisps, partly because of the better ending. I started Windswept wastes, I hope it can surpass it.
@@colehamrick6252 Were you playing on hard mode? I did a hard mode playthrought recently, and it's kind of impressive how much harder she is than in normal mode. The boost in hp and damage really means that you have much more careful and precise. Well, I also struggled because I forgot that Flash was a thing, despite the fact that it's the ability you get in that area, so I died like ten times because of the darkness before I remembered:''oh yeah, I have a thing that protects me against the darkness! Maybe, just maybe, I should use it!'' I felt extremely stupid after that realisation.
That's pretty harsh, though I admit I was kind of bewildered at how different their play style is to mine. It looks like they're playing with Mouse/Keyboard, which to me seems absolutely INSANE, but maybe that setup makes it easier to aim the Spirit Arc which they seem to use almost exclusively. And yeah, they run and hide on the side walls way more than it necessary, don't use the projectiles for any kind of boost or even reflect them. It's an unusual and suboptimal method, to be sure. But they did beat the boss, so I can't argue with success. Any boss battle you can walk away from is a win. I don't see the point of shit-talking them when they make no claims of being an expert or speedrunner or anything...
@@0Fyrebrand0 The video is spliced, they couldn't even have bothered to be competent enough at the game to able a record in one go on normal difficulty. My real gripe though is that it's not at all cinematic, it's just boring boss-cheese. Aside: KB&M in speedruns is for fast and precise bashing and certain tricks that require plinking (inputting one action a few frames after another), and also because if your bash direction is neutral when you release the button/key, your bash goes further, which is again easier/faster with a mouse.
@@dude071297 I did it in a totally blind run a couple days ago and I first tried the boss in like 4-5 minutes...I had about as much equipement and health as he did.
Former Pixar and Dreamwork designers worked in the making of this game. Now you understand why the animations and the graphics are so impressive!
Nah moon still carried it look at the first one and this is their 2nd game I think

I especially love the part where I can't see the edge of the screen. Really well made
Where can I read about this?

The way the music changes from fearful terror to tepid tenderness after you save Mora is so heartwarming
I agree.
Fuck mora

During the entire fight I was trying to tell Mora how I donated to the Spider Foundation in Undertale but she was too mad, bruh 😭😢
Told her after eh

"I bought your Spider Donut! Made by spiders, for spiders, and of spiders!"

this is genuinely my favourite boss fight in videogame history, literally everything about it is so perfect
sound design is insane
Thank you for going through so smooth and even talking to the spiderlings in the end. I died of cuteness and overwhelming atmosphere, wonderful video!
This was the most hectic, aggressive and motivating Boss ever. It even uses this bullshit dark void gimmick from the level before
I beat this boss on my second try and it was a pure battle. I absolutely love this boss and love this game. Probably one of my top 5 in the switch.
Every frame a painting. This is the only video game that made me cry. Twice!
Australians:!nah thats too little.

Mora is “mother” in Norwegian
god this was so hard but so rewarding when i beat it
This game is pure art, love it. Original and will of wisps.
Definately one of the best Boss fights of recent years.
Note to self: use Spirit Spike next time

Ori is an absolute masterpiece
any similar game recommendation?

Ahahahahahh :D I did that mistake with Kwolok. But for my defense I was managing to give 70% damage before I die. All with the spirit edge and arc.
In 2024 I'm playing for the first time and I came here to see the easiest way to get past Mrs. Spider, this game is simply fantastic 😂
Yeah this isn’t how my fight looked last night
I accidentally managed to get the untouchable achievement on this boss.
This explained why the spiders dont die... I thought they only die by certain ability or something

the music cuts so many times 💀
9:20 music ❤️❤️❤️🔥
I went through the Mouldwood depths without the light skill. Totally in darkness. It was before I knew about the power.
That’s awesome
Is it just me or are two of your energy cells purple?
the game won't save after each phase , one time i dealt about 80% damage then i died but the fight just starts from the begening
I played on siwtch and there were 2 check points in the fight. The first fight when you drop her to 50% health and she start breaking the room. The second after the chase
The only thing really ruining this video for me is the splicing, kinda defeats the point of being cinematic :(
Going to school in Australia
Man how much I hated this boss
Am I the only one that is afraid of her model more after she's cured?
True, it's more scary-looking, because her eyes look real. When she was possessed, her eyes looked like lights, so it was not so scary :D
