I've seen starting QBs with little talent win Super Bowls. Jim Kelly never won, Dan Marino never won and others while Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer have. Whether you've won or not or what your role was. Football is the ultimate team sport and whether you have one or not isn't the complete picture.
Jerry Jones is the issue, he is the common denominator and because he won those titles way back in the day he still believes that he can do it again his way now, when times have clearly moved on from that model.
The reason I suspect he hasn't talked to the top coaches (like Belichick/Harbaugh etc) is because he knows full well they will want to take full control of the team and relegate him to a normal ownership position....i.e. not sticking his nose in on the day to day running of the team. That is something I don't think Jerry is willing to do.
Sadly, until Jerry takes that step back and gives the reins over and lets his coach actually coach without him looming over every decision/speaking to the press, I suspect the Cowboys will continue on being good in the regular season only to then flame out in the playoffs.
Cowboys won’t win a Super Bowl until after Jerry Jones dies or steps down completely. Simple as that.

I think a solid running back and run scheme would take immense pressure off of Dak in those high pressure games, call it garbage time or whatever, Dak has shown he starts slow in big games and rallies too little too late, His most efficient season was as a rookie with Zeke and the best running attack…

Dak's salary cap hit will create a stranglehold on the organization and at the same time, other players need to get paid like Cee Dee Lamb, Micah, and others. I see the team actually getting worse. This is all about Jerry as the common denominator as to why the Cowboys haven't won the NFC chip for almost thirty years.

Another year previous against the Niners again...another Pick Pick Slide, HE IS OUT!! He had great defenses the last three seasons, the defense laid a humongous egg in this playoff game, but it seems that Dak having a bad playoff game seems to be the contributing factor to the losses. You need to ask, why did Dallas lose!? 1: bad coaching. 2: bad play from Dak Prescott. Those are the two main factors in why they lose playoff games. Either the coach or QB goes...or both!!

You're wrong! Not many Dawgs at QB in the league maybe 3-6 total QBs . Dallas is built to have a well rounded team they need running game a good O-line and receiving core. The defense was doing bad in coverage and run. If you want a dawg QB. There is no way any team will trade their dawg QB away. You have to keep it real. They need to build this team better on defense

They knew to run the ball cause Dallas defense was small couldn't stop the run. All game mismatched. Then Jordan Love all he had to do was play action with like 20 passes and connect a few deep throws. Jordan Love uniform stayed clean in the pocket.
@@juansantana7041 It's true, the OL did a great job protecting him all game long; at the same time tho, Jordan had to make the reads as well as make good accurate throws to his receivers and that's exactly what he did_ The difference was the body language from Jordan Love compared to the way Prescott looked_ Love played completely loose, calm & relaxed and as a result his teammates fed off that and played the same way... If the quarterback is not ready for the moment, it spreads around to his teammates... Success in the month of JANUARY is based off the play of the QUARTERBACK- If he doesn't play well it usually doesn't pan out well for his team... PERIOD.

Here’s the most alarming thing about the Cowboys: two of their worst losses this season (the Niners and the Packers) showed Mike McCarthy get THOROUGHLY out coached.
James can keep bringing up Shanahan’s lack of SB all he likes, but he’s shown over the last three seasons he has McCarthy’s number. And just when it couldn’t get worse, McCarthy’s replacement in Green Bay went into their house and ran LAPS around him.
I’m sorry but that can’t be ignored.
Shady is talking like it was ALL Dak's fault. The defense deserves some blame also, with 5 out of first 6 drives from Green Bay were touchdowns.

Texas Offensive Coordinator Bobby Slowik, what he has done with C.H. Stroud is amazing, he came from the Kyle Shanagan Coaching Tree, he has had great success in the NFL, and he actually has been a Defensive Coach with Washington and San Francisco

Cowboys is just one solid RB away from being a legit contender. Without an elite running game, they can't move on because their offense will be focused on Dak. And opposing teams know that. But they also have to improve their defense. The run defense in particular. Mr. Jones should sign Derrick Henry.
Mike McArthy underachieved with AR12 and he is now underachieving with Dak and this Cowboy roster. They are making excuses for a mediocre coach. If this Dallas roster wasn’t as good, they would go between 6-10 to 9-8, which is how they played on Sunday…
