    Aurora's music is frequently inspired by nature. She told The Sun: "'Running With The Wolves' is about freedom and joining nature again, getting away from phones and radio and all the stuff we keep around us."
    Aurora wrote the song during the blood moon in 2014. She told The 405: "I just imagined the moon turning all the people around the world into wild animals, running away from all the rules, all the materialism and technology. Just being a part of nature again, running free."

    She is running from the society as we know it today, and she finally frees herself from the wiring that keeps her stuck. Back to nature. The guy in the car - the society - cant hold her back. A lot of symbolism here, and of course this is typical Aurora. As for every song she has made.

      Yes - she is literally "unplugging".
      And for everyone who loves this song - you got to see her perform it recently during covid during the web-cast "Somewhere else festival" where she is underpinning it with Kraftwerk old-school daunting synth-riffs, heavy metal guitar-riffs and she is singing it as if she has some beef going with Alanis Morissette.

      As much I love her Nidarosdomen concert and her unplugged versions and genius-level vocal harmonics causing me to break - I enjoy her as much when she is aggressive. I love when she is going full "warrior", as I know she is a metal fan and (obviously) Tool fan - and deep electronica fan (as a self-labelled raver (Not the same as an EDM fan, for the younger viewers).

    She does a really good job with the cinematic videos. Like The Seed, and The River, and Apple Tree, and Queendome. Almost too many to mention.

    My favourite song of hers at the moment is Winterbird, so i would love a reaction to that, its also one of her older songs, so would fit quite chronologically with this one.
    The music video or Live at Nidarosdomen are my favourite performances. Her songs differ quite a bit depending on the setting of the concert. You can hear the same song, but interpret it in 5 different ways just by checking out different performances of it.
    ---
    Edit: I've always interpreted the song as escaping the pressure of society and especially that experienced from social media and just enjoy nature.
    Me and my friends always do one hiking trip a year going somewhere with no cellphone reception and just getting away and living with nature a little. Usually somewhere we can fish so we can live of nature as well.
    Its something we started after one of us got dumped and was living on he's phone. Since then it just became an annual tradition because it was so freeing and wonderful.
    ----
    Take care and stay safe :)

      There's also a mini-documentary or some such thing that I can't seem to find right now about the making of the Winterbird video, the one with the cacoon and the drones. She hooked up with a bunch of really cool engineering and robotics folks to create this wondrous artwork that is the Winterbird video I love most. I do love all the Winterbird videos and live performances I've watched, of course, especially the live in person one in San Francisco in 2016 (swoon…). She and those with whom she creates are truly top notch artists and really good people!

    AURoRA => Master of Metaphores.
    She always leave leverage for the listeners to understand the song, feel the song in their own way.
    I always watch the off. vids first, if any's available.... they give so much food for thoughts.
    You, most deffo have a new subscriber. All the best from Arctic Lo-Ve Islands, Norway o/

    Aurora is amazing. I recommend " Murder song ( 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)" , and "through the eyes of a child" . I also recommend her live concert at Nidarosdomen ( A big chatedral in Trondheim, Norway) That is something very different and BEAUTIFUL!!

    My movie in my head is she's attached to the utopia city,and he is her career/warden,but he knows she's special. When she gets free from the wires he screams because he know she will die without them. But she finds her nirvana in seeing green flourishing nature before ,so its worth it. Omg, my script for this is much more detail 🤣😉

    There might be a sort of connection to the guy in the truck and the wires might be connected to something else he might worked for or owned this is my opinion.

    She wants to break free from technology (wires) and the materialistic world (man in car) and get back to nature (running with the wolves).

  • @Lannisen
    @Lannisen 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The wires are the toxic parts of society, pollution, technology addiction, the man in the car is some kind of abusive threat, and that ending is her pulling free and running to her freedom in nature. Or that's how I see it ^^
