Davey, you are outstanding builder. Like this is honestly one of the best Settlements made by someone that looks like a "Bethesda" made Settlement. This is looking like it's gonna compare to diamond City when it's all said and done. Great Job.

evilviking13's settlements are great but they don'y have that bethedsa feel, his are too detailed and cool to fit regularly into the game, where as Davey's build is more like something in the game
Viking's stuff is okay, but sometimes it feels too noisy. Meaning, too much going on and too many... things that draw my eye. Sometimes I appreciate the junk that really isn't super eye catching, but tells a little story instead of it being a loud and in-your-face sort of thing.
Rensin Redjaw I've never really found 13's to be in your face. That or being too noisy either. Even then I still consider both Daves to be amazing. 13 for using custom assets and Davey for using in game assets only.

ive just finished my scrappy underground mine Shelter in FO76 and i used your Castle build for inspiration, the raised footpath with little shacky houses around a communal area. im really happy with how it turned out, sort of midway between mole miner and foundation style but all scrappy.
so basically thanks for the guides and inspiration mate.

this is going to be your masterpiece. holy shit Davey, I've watched your channel since the first video you've made, and this is going to be the best player made settlement in the history of this game. You've beat out Evil Viking, you've beat XIII, and you've even smashed the boundaries of what is possible and the most damn thematic, dynamic, and lore friendly thing in the entire game.

I'm super impressed as usual. Also as a suggestion, depending on how slumy you want it to look (maybe this would be a better idea of Hangman's Alley) for the space under the apartments you could put really dingy mattresses like right on the dirt and maybe a suitcase or two. But it is the castle so maybe you don't want a homeless problem there

Facet, I've been subscribed since your first video and I remember the fist castle you made.. I kinda copied it horribly though lol, but this castle build is amazing I'm again copying it again and I love it, I love your build. I'm using sim settlements, g2m work shop and thematic and practical. I'll take some pictures and try to send them to you. I'm read for the next video!!!!!! Keep up the good work
Just an idea Dave, but I think it would've looked even funkier with a trailer beneath the flats, supported with beams and pillar glitches railings.
Could even make another crack shack in it!
Tip with Freemaker Davey, go to spawn cheat chest, find spawn junk chest, it'll be a grenade in your weapons, throw it down, and go into workshop and delete it. You'll get one of each junk item automatically into the workshop.

Those curved plywood pieces are an absolute godsend. Also, to Davey/avid viewers, have you made a roof for the Egret Tours place since mods have come out?
I gotta ask if you intend on bringing up the castle walls a bit? To make it feel a bit more cramped? I know that's the look u go 4. And I think it'll really help. Especially if u taper it in as it goes up. IIRC, megaton was damn near a dome and it felt really congested. But it was a while ago...
there's gonna be buildings on the castle walls - that will be the third tier surrounding the settlement.
Maybe make some housing possibly a slums outside of the Castle like in Whiterun in Skyrim.

How do you deal with the nav meshing when glitching your builds?
I have a difficult enough time when using the vanilla assets, and getting the settlers to use them.
I need to do this in my Castle, I was going to make it a fortified base and shit, and save a Megaton build for some other place like County Crossing.

Now all we need is to figure out how to export settlements, convert to the proper format for a mod, and then get them on bethnet so we can all enjoy DaveySettlements in the flesh!
When I try the same like You, with the Small Concrete Wall against other Objects, than I can move the whole Place. Don't know if I doing something wrong or the Issue is with the placed Objects there are already in the Settlement.
I have the Issue on PC, maybe You have a Tip?
I had the settler sandbox mod for ps4, I found settlers in other settlements, and throughout the wasteland wondering around.

you should maybe try and put a secret railroad drop off/outpost room in the main wall of the castle if you can engineer a cool secret door... maybe?... please? haha
Davey, what do you use to edit your videos? I need something to edit my videos on PC, I edit my Fallout 4 builds on my PS4, but I just was wondering what you use?

I actually already have 14.0, I'm just having trouble learning it, but it looks like it has everything I could need. What helped you learn it? Any specific tutorials? or just fucking around on it?
kinda just fucking around - whenever I'd have some I wanted to do, I'd google/youtube search until I found a video that explained what to do.
Alright mate, thanks for the advice. Also, nice build as always. I like how this Castle build is coming along. I recently just finished Graygarden, did most of my settlement on the overpass and then had a caravan stop and guard tower/shack on the ground below. Just posted a full tour of my settlement today.
I have a build it series and I do Roleplays and Lets Plays of Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition and I only use the TH-cam editor. Its actually not half bad. It not the best but its good enough for me atm and best of all; Its free :D :D :D
There should be a version of OC Decorator that doesn't require the item to place it.
I would change those supports into more flats for some then have supports on others

Sniffing Glue I believe it doesn't change default pathing, but it makes them better in cluttered or tight areas.

If you are going for a megaton feel, don't use ladders. Megaton was literally miles away from any ladder

Maybe you could take a look into the WH-MK.22 Heavy Machinegun mod - it gives you a turret, that actually looks like a real MG with a little shield, might fit the castle and its defenses?

I'm just pissed off that Bethesda hasn't hired norespawns and evilviking13 as level designers and given them their own office and when you walk in there's just so much junk decorations on the walls that you just die from sensory overload

I'm always falling. I have a mod that let's you scrap the highway.i was at finch farm, s e letter the highway on accident, and I started falling. I was like, "I'm so dead and didn't save. but, my character is so strong, I just broke a leg. worked out. I don't have the falling armour yet and when I shake earth too hard on a fall, settlers attack me, so I don't wear the power suits while building.
