Then BE releases with Blue and Grey and Disease n I fell in love with those songs. Then their solos were just so varied and amazing that I’ve realised Bangtan will keep surprising me and I will just continue to enjoy their music 😅

it's mad how other Kpop groups have their title tracks as the most streamed songs, very rarely their B side tracks and others in the discography, whereas BTS has songs other than title tracks on the charts since the start that too consistently .

I've personally always felt that one of the main reasons of the loyal fan following of BTS is the fact that their B sides are always as good as their title tracks and even better in some cases. That kind of substance and personal touch in the music brings a relatability factor and that makes the fans stay even if it's the title tracks that lure people in. They're album focused artists.
It was the same in my case, the B sides that sealed the deal for me! Ask any army, and for most people their most memorable or special or comfort track on a personal level would be a B side. That's how good they are.
I think my top 10 songs from BTS are all b-sides tbh. BTS's non-title tracks are just masterpieces- sometimes i wish people checked them out before they even checked out the title tracks (although those are amazing too).
@@petrichormusings0613 truly and this same has followed in their solo career as well. Their albums from top to button are incredible. Also their recent albums as a group had both their old and new sound e.g BE . Travels like dis-ease were such a banger. As good or sometimes even better than title track. Which for me shows their sincerity towards their craft. They aren't doing just to sell commercially but each track is made with equal effort
@@jyesobti I totally agree. Even now when they're in the military they prepared a lot in advance to keep the music coming even when they're away. And not just for the sake of it, but releasing the kind of music they want to try out individually.

Bts has every freaking genre I think this is one of the major reason they are HUGE compared to others because they don't stop at one kind like they do every type of music 🤍

Tbh I feel like that's true for most kpop groups, many of them have a "them" sound for their title tracks but once you listen to the albums you'll find so much variety, it's part of what gives kpop it's appeal, for me at least.

The difference between Jungkook's songs, especially 3D and Standing Next To You compared to other songs is that they were released in the 4th quarter of 2023 and he still managed to get 3 songs in top 10. When you mentioned Like Crazy doing better than SNTY you have to consider that Like Crazy was released in the beginning of 2023 while JK put out his songs in the end of it. Jungkook's a real streaming monster, he really dominated 2022 and 2023 streaming wise.

I have to give you it though pjms are very organised in the way they focus on ONLY one song and become hyper obsessed with to ONLY stream it on Spotify. We can argue months and that’s what jungkook antis have been doing so please spare me.

Its the biggest platform in south korea with more listeners than spotify (almost 5 times more )so it gives a look into whats actually popular in korea/what they consider true kpop is over international tastes! I knew bts was going to be on here a lot, but I didn’t expect it as much for the earlier years. I’m wondering is this the cumulative streams from release year to present or is it actually just the streams it got in the first year of each release?
I think it's cumulative from the year of release till now. Even for the most viewed MVs compilation they did before, it's the same.
It's always cumulative, they lists would be very different if they were made according to the years the songs were released, but idk where one would find that kind of info.
