Hilarious triple banger reaction, I laughed so hard.😅 Have to watch that reaction again and again. I would love to see the unedited reaction. Anyone else interested in seeing the unedited reaction?
Great song from the great Jerry Reed who was in Smokey and the Bandit, "Breaker One". Who also wrote Guitar Man. Jerry met Elvis for the first time, walked completely around him and said " Damn if you ain't the best looking SOB, I've ever seen". love it, thanks Seph.
Almost in Love was my first ever Elvis record. My parents gifted me with it for christmas when i was around 10 years old. I still have it to this day. Love it! This one written by Jerry Reed.
Seph, I had a dream last night you were at an Elvis concert dressed up in an Elvis jumpsuit ! You were jumping up and down on your seat when Elvis was singing. Haha.
Elvis recorded a of Jerry Reed's songs. In July 1967, Reed had his best showing on the country chart (No. 53) with his self-penned "Guitar Man", which Elvis Presley soon covered.[1] Reed's next single was "Tupelo Mississippi Flash", a comic tribute to Presley. Recorded on September 1, the song became his first Top 20 hit, going to No. 15 on the chart. Coincidentally Presley came to Nashville to record nine days later on September 10, 1967, and one of the songs he became especially excited about was "Guitar Man". Reed recalled how he was tracked down to play on the Presley session: "I was out on the Cumberland River fishing, and I got a call from Felton Jarvis (then Presley's producer at RCA Victor) He said, 'Elvis is down here. We've been trying to cut "Guitar Man" all day long. He wants it to sound like it sounded on your album.' I finally told him, 'Well, if you want it to sound like that, you're going have to get me in there to play guitar, because these guys [you're using in the studio] are straight pickers. I pick with my fingers and tune that guitar up all weird kind of ways.'"[4] Jarvis hired Reed to play on the session. "I hit that intro, and [Elvis's] face lit up and here we went. Then after he got through that, he cut [my] "U.S. Male" at the same session. I was toppin' cotton, son." Reed also played the guitar for Elvis Presley's "Big Boss Man" (1967), recorded in the same session.[5] On January 15 and 16, 1968, Reed worked on a second Presley session, during which he played guitar on a cover of Chuck Berry's "Too Much Monkey Business", "Stay Away", and "Goin' Home" (two songs revolving around Presley's film Stay Away, Joe), as well as another Reed composition, "U.S. Male" (Reed's quoted recollection of "U.S. Male" being recorded at the same session as "Guitar Man" being incorrect).[6] Presley also recorded two other Reed compositions: "A Thing Called Love" in May 1971 for his He Touched Me album, and "Talk About The Good Times" in December 1973, for a total of four.
OMG, Today has been blooming funny and I have gotten so many laughs, I am feeling giddy. I love this satiric song!! Thanks for your wonderful channel and reactions. I think if Elvis was alive, he would love what you are doing and make you a friend for life.❤❤❤
🤣🤣🤣🤣 This was actually one of the hardest video edits i have had to do in awhile. I cut out nearly 6 minutes of me just laughing uncontrollably while trying to speak 🤣🤣🤣
What's really funny is , if someone messed around with one of Elvis' girls , he probably wouldn't mind all that much because---HE HAD SO MANY OF THEM !
Great reaction to another 'Elvis' song style IMHO, which as he went to court back in 1950's for punching a guy, plus later events in his life regarding Priscilla, and his pride in America could almost be construed as not far from reality.
*SEPH* Your so right about - CONVOY -- Yes I GET THAT --- I Love This Jerry Reed Song!!! ELVIS KICKS BUTT SINGING THIS EPIC SONG -- SOOOOOOO HILARIOUS -- YOU CRACK ME UP
Had to watch that again, one of your funniest reactions ever. Hope you're feeling a bit better by now, miss you a lot. Any plans for January 8 Elvis's 89th birthday? Really hope you'll be back on your feet by then. Those man flues are tough to get by. Take your time and rest properly, see you when you are ready to continue, so much more greatness awaits you. Yo when are you going to release the uncut reaction of US Male? haha
It's a "talking blues." And old genre and usually very funny! Jerry Reed wrote and played on this record. I recommend Bob Dylan's "Talking Bear Mountain Massacre Blues" as probably the funniest talking blues ever. As I said, they're almost all funny. Elvis did a superb job!
The funny story I heard about Elvis I think was when he was in his pajamas and house coat and his daddy came and told him that somebody that used to work for him was gonna kick his ass So Elvis went right out the door with Jama's and everything and whipped the shit out of that guy but he didn't tell that story
Jerry Reed on guitar! He wrote this & recorded it first. I heard his version before Elvis’. Love them both equally. Jerry was a huge influence on me. I first heard his instrumental guitar works. Then he started having hits with funny ones.
I love it❣️ Isn't it amazing how, after hearing hundreds of his songs, Elvis can still surprise you? It would have been interesting to see your reaction without the editing. 🤣 Sock it to me was a phrase used in the very popular tv show "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In". After someone said it, something crazy would happen like water being thrown at them, a dress getting ripped off, etc. Lots of big stars and even President Nixon were guests on the show. Elvis loved the corny humor and mentioned that he'd like to be on it. He wanted to do a scene that was often done in which an adult would be riding a child's tricycle and then would suddenly fall over. Of course, the Colonel never would have allowed it.
@@SephPlays Funny you should ask! I was actually meeting up with a bunch of other Elvis fans in Memphis! You should've been there!! Next time we go you are getting an invite. ☺
Elvis meant every word! The only time he actually lost his temper with fans was when two women tried to attack Pricilla as she drove in the gates to their home in Audubon Drive. He came out and kicked and smashed their car as they tried to drive away. He later apologised and paid to repair the car but banned them from hanging around his gates for evermore. Another entertaining reaction Seph. Always fun to see you enjoying Elvis. 🙏👌💕🕺
@@jackielouise7538 you’re right. I was mistaken and on looking it up, it was actually when they lived at Belair while Elvis was making movies. I read about it in Jerry Shillings book “ Me and a guy named Elvis”( which is fascinating,by the way!) 🙏👌💕

Well damn! Hes got a point 😂
jerry also played on the guitar man recording
If you listen carefully, at the beginning of song ,Elvis is kind of rapping .
Elvis was even the precursor of rap.
Cool song.
Ohh definitely! Rapping'esk!
Another great Jerry Reed song! Sock it to me one time was often used on Laugh-in the comic tv show at the time. One of my favorites.
Love this! its a parody of chauvenism, written by the great Jerry Reed! Who also wrote and played on "Guitar Man"

Yes! Banger station! Talking Blues. Elvis' interpretation is spot on. ❤ Funniest lyrics thus far: 1) Little Egypt 2) U.S. Male? 🤔
Little Egypt has this beat but not by a massive margin!
Banger.
It's a triple banger.
The dirty version of this is great too but i love it when he talks dirty not everyone likes that. But its something for you if you're interested
I'll definitely have to check this out in the near future 😍 hahaha
