so proud of you and im so happy I was able to be a part of this journey. I think you have incredible potential and I am so grateful to have known you.
@@1eclaire THIS IS MY MENTOR CHAT
I didnt learn what sidechaining was until after 8 YEARS of music production, so you've already made an insane amount of progress
for one month this is actually insane, I remember what I made at that level and this is miles beyond it, hope you keep at it
@@afterlilac tysm, im trying 😭
@ you got this mate, I believe in you
sometimes my youtube front page can be a curse or a blessing, the latter in this case. the final song was very nice and the progress you made was awesome👍
AW THANK YOU IM GLAD IT WASNT A CURSE
its just the way youre already a better producer than me after one month than me after an entire year 😭 on a real note tho, absolutely insane progression and im completely astounded you DONT EVEN HAVE 2K SUBS?!? LIKE YOU DESERVE AT LEAST 10K 😭😭
awww tysm
I use this sidechain often:
Peak Controller to kick, Parametric EQ 2 to bass
Link lowest EQ band to peak controller, configure peak controller & EQ lowest band
This type is convenient for complex drum parts
thank you!
Yeah depends on the sound needed, sometimes I'll sidechain only the bass frequencies if I need whatever it is I am sidechaining to keep it's characterisitcs while not messing with the mix. Other times I just sidechain the whole thing if I need the kind of swelling sound it brings
Honestly pretty dope :3 def stay with it, final track was really cute
Damn! You've made a lot of progress in one month. The difference between start of the video and the end is like night and day. Keep going, at this rate, you'll be making absolute bangers in no time at all, seriously. I've been making music for time, and I know potential when I hear it.
(Bonus tip going forward: - You won't need every plugin/sample pack under the sun...it can become very expensive, very quickly, I don't use 80 percent of the samples I have, and pretty much use Serum/Vital for everything synthetic with the odd Kontakt library for real sounds, very occasionally. Stock plugins can work magic in the right hands and free Vital can go a long way in EDM.)

day 2 and 3 sound so much like flume. Keep cooking
this is so funny bc this isnt the first time ive heard this but idek what i did to sound like them LOL
This is really good for 1 month, I would learn how to make a kick pattern, personally I made 2 step hi hats and 4 to the floor kicks for 3 months before I made a real drum pattern. Also the rolls are in my opinion annoying, if that's what you are going for then you can layer two or three risers and cut them at the last moment instead of letting them bleed through. If you do want to use rolls put them in the piano roll and slowly make the velocity higher with each kick. Also people gave you really good advice that I would take into account, I would use a more heavy kick not one with higher frequencies and sidechain it to the chords, not necessarily the melody though. Also, and this part really depends on what genre of music you are making but learn the best bpm and experiment, there is no right or wrong for what bpm you use, as far as anyone cares you could use 125.837643 bpm because it doesn't matter! Also learn what parts of a song there are and before making anything label those parts of it with ALT + T, (Intro, Hook, Verse, Chorus, Rise, Drop, Breakdown, Bridge) then once you have everything labeled start making melodies and chords and such. For chorus and bridge and whatever make sure you add a texture, countermelody, or whatever for just that part, usually for a bridge you would actually imply a chord change or remove some elements.
thank you for this! since then ive been working on my drum patterns and learning different genres to figure out what i like!! when i made this i only had like 2 drum kits so i just went with what i had hahaha
Well done! Been producing myself for 2 years and it now occupies like all of my time, I just love it so much
lol I literally did same
Quit Val
start making music
and it's working
Keep it up
its pretty good for 1 month trust me, i started 4 yeats ago, keep it up!🤞🏻
THANK YOU
same real shit started 4yrs go kkeep the fuck at it
4 yeats ago
Yeat is an American rapper with a very unique sound
His career has lasted from 2018 (first release) to 2024 (most recent release)
This is a span of 6 years
4 x 6 = 24
4 yeats ago would be 24 years
Holy shit dude you have been producing for 24 years?
PLEASE KEEP DOING PROGRESS UPDATES!! 🤍🤍🤍
I WILL!! IDRK WHAT IM DOING NEXT BUT I WILL TRY
@@auhdie THATS ALL THAT MATTERS!!
Its insane you could make a chord progression like that on day 5 and how you had no out of key things on day 30 (besides that small bit at the end). It took me like 8 months to be able to write decent melodies
@@neofox2526 i think thats the one thing i watched a ton of youtube videos on.. music theory was a HUGE part of what i knew i needed to learn before i’d be able to make anything decent. but tysm for ur kind words 🥹
Your progress is incredible wow, especially for only a month
Yo the final song is amazing, I can tell you used a lot of things you learned from the past thirty days. I like to see people try things they're not good at, and you improved a TON!
Hell Yeah
yk what, hell yeah!
hella good for 1 month! im jealous cus my computer has no storage at all and i cant even download ableton lite 😭
NOOOOOOO
yoooo for the 1 month of lerning music production is a insane result!
Awesome work and great progress. Have a happy thankgiving and keep it up! 🎉
THANK YOU HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I'M ACTUALY CRYING AT THE CUPCAKKE M0AN FHSBJKDASVKKJSAF
LMFAOOOO IF IM BEING HONEST THE SAMPLE WAS JUST SO BAD THAT I THREW IT IN TJERE BC I WAS LIKE FK IT, CANT GET ANY WORSE LFMAOKDOAK
@@auhdie I think TH-cam knows some stuff cause I'm also a noob to production (I literally play around with FLS now and there but nothing serious), but I'm working on a cupcakke remix and it's going well albeit time consuming and I think is a sign to get my shit together and slay that shi ✌🏻✨
AY YO YOU TRYNA COLLAB, sorry it's obligatory
idk what im even doing i dont think u want me to collab w you LOL
@ no better way to hone skills than working with others! I'm down regardless of skill. It's all about the passion
awesome progress for a month!! Definitely much better than when I started out haha

Love this vid
Brave heart
W IMPROVEMENT!! keep at it fr
@@Adge HI AGE THANK U AGE
sounds pretty good, especially in the composition department. it's much better than the stuff I made when I started out! one tip which will massively improve your sound already - lower your master level. I also recommend watching some videos by Dan Worrall - his 'tutorials' will help you develop sonically by a lot!
@@opticteadrop thank you! ive been trying to learn more mixing and mastering since i didnt really get to that department during the month!! tysm : D
fire
10:55 i knew i didn’t click on this for nothing
also where are these 13:16 drums frommm omg
this is the funniest thing ever LMFAOO but honestly im not sure at the moment i’d have to open it back up and look at it to see what i used and where i got it 😭 i can do it later if you want them!!
W PROGRESS
hahaha, reminds me of the first time I tried to make music in FL Studio, that was 6 years ago, let's keep trying until you master it💪
@@fzn5251 thats the plan 🥹
whys there 104 dislikes wth. i think you coudve done a lil better by just making loops or demo beats but yeah good progress all around.
btw my take is that you should now focus on lerning a genre, and get a mentor who can teach you bcs ytb tutorials are mostly ass
dont pray on my downfall 😭😭 the youtube extension is really buggy, my dashboard says i only have 4 dislikes LMAOO but thank you!! when i started this i was originally just watching youtube videos but as i was posting, people were joining my cord and helping me out so a lot of my knowledge comes from them as well!
@@auhdie can i join too`?
