America’s excitement for a new and prosperous society, which sees that everybody enjoys the greatest life possible, is very intriguing. Yeah, society became significantly advanced and improved for all after WW2, but that honeymoon lasted until hippies and democrats tried pushing for an alternative society.

They got most of the ideas correctly.
-Overabundance of traffic,
-basic automatons providing entertainment (vtubers),
-men having telephone and a radio (mobile phone),
-women having a hair light (smart clothing),
-unusual forms of buildings (eco architecture and the like),
-separate industrial centers (megafactories),
-monstrous 600 passenger airplanes, passenger terminals,
-organic ocean liners which pretty much look correct.

The closest we have to the past’s dream cities is New York and Las Vegas. Both are sadly being modernised. And have been for around 30 years

I think the only way we'd get flying cars on a regular bases is if they're completely automated. Too many things can go wrong with flying cars, especially when regular drivers behind the wheel.

It’s funny how they viewed cities as being over crowded so they have to add all of these levels to accommodate pedestrians and vehicles. It turned out that the resolution to an overcrowded city is to create suburbs so people can spread out.

funny how were able to predict these but they didn't use these predictions for products but hey its 2021 and we have the knowledge and technology to do these things that we don't know what else to predict anymore

Predictions for the future are more educated than what they could predict 100 years ago owing to our increased knowledge, and the future of technology looks fantastic. I recently read comments on a Reddit thread about deepfakes in which they spoke of a future where you can input some data, like who you want to star, even yourself, and what genre you want, and it would come up with a film tailored just for you - there'd be no need for filming real people, and stunts, and even green screens. Everything is virtual.
