Thanks for saying the note names. Many teachers just say the fret numbers but knowing the intervals and note names is much more helpful for a deeper understanding of music and the fretboard. Thanks Jeff
You are welcome! It’s funny I have a much more difficult time saying fret numbers than I do note names. Especially above the 12th fret, it’s funny. They are super important!
The "up picking" you're doing here definitely reminds me of the way Eric Johnson picks when he does that. It's such a cool looking and sounding picking technique!
Hey Jeff, This is a great lesson thank you !! Could you do a video on playing over straight major chords. I find myself in more simple pop settings with singers having to play over straight major chords, major pentatonic and triads sound great but i quickly run out of ideas as there isnt a lot of harmonic movement to keep things developing .. Would love your insight on this topic.

You have been so helpful through the years, particularly through the lock-down. I own over a dozen of your courses. I guess an A11 lacks specificity. My understanding is that an A11 is an A dominant 11th. (aka A7(11)/C) Otherwise we'd call it an A major 11th/C.. Wouldn't the b9 be a Bb? You mean #9 then? The 13 makes me dizzy.. @@JeffMcErlain
Up too early! SO I mistyped... It can be a little murky. A11 to me has a maj7 and A7 with an 11 would be be A dom11 or A7sus4. I could be wrong but it all get kinda knitpicky and that's why it doesn't have a name.
