You are 200% with that statement, Gayton is my hero and no other politician will donate their government salary like him which just shows how pathetic the people are around him in the Union Buildings. The billionaire SA TV titans from Multichoice are even considering screening Springbok games on SABC for the 1st time which is going to affect many things on the continent based off the PAL(Phase Alternating Line) broadcast signal. He is a legend and is iconic and he has the support of powerful armed groups that can overthrow the useless and corrupt ANC government within a day, so I hope that other ministers also try follow his lead for sake of South African tax payers who feed them decade after decade and finally there is someone who is serving our interests.
Minister Gayton McKenzie is a exselint man in this country of South Africa . I lifted my hat up for him . O pleace a post that was given to him for the future as a sport Minister. He sould be put in mush better post's to be honest my be the post as Deputy Prisident of our country . To me he is very clever and a wonderful 💯 man that really cares about the people of South Africa to give us milk and honey of love and peace to live as one family . Just remember that God our Father Lord Jesus Christ created every soul on earth . President Rammaposha , Prisident Steenhuizen , and Prisident Gayton McKenzie can do and bring it together in South Africa by working together as one soul to make South Africa the most best country in the whole world .
He is in a right track because my sister was a good 100 & 80m runner undefeated winner for 3 year but when it comes to run for eastern cap province, she was always told no funds and she must focus on her studies
Hi Jamie I ❤your platform and I think is more informative and we'll presented. As for minister Gayton I think he needs more support from the nation, in communities, school governing bodies and parents at large need to give support by throwing some ideas and experiences but Gayton has to live his promise of engaging people into dialogues.
Mighti you are so knowledgeable I wish you could be one of minister gayton advisor. We need people like you in this country to go forward. Thankx for your impute
But guys as u say its 10 days u cannot expect him to talk about everything that falls under him at this time, I am sure he will target each and everything just give him time
Good so far minister, you are getting the people of this country talking " SPORT" and thinking "SPORT".Next they will start to think and propose plans to make it a reality.
For the first time in 30 Years this Department is being and will be Correctly Managed! As Tax Payers we need to know where and on whom our money is being spent! I just Love The Transparency and the Minister is Serious and Very Dedicated to his new Job! South African Citizens are fully behind Minister McKenzie, an excellent job so far with much much more to come! Well Done Minister!
Yhooo Jamie I was one of those township teachers who was coaching netball from the age of 8 but struggling too much because we had no courts, equipment, kits. Pupils play barefoot 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢. Another thing in townships is a lack of support from parents😢😢😢😢😢😢
School sport is a great way to focus young folks energy. Also, if u require students to have certain grades to compete in sport, it will encourage better academic performance.
Thanks for the content, you are one of few who actually presents SA news with optimism and an open mind. I also love how you mentioned mental sports. Most of my friends and I (About 20 of us) are gamers, chess players, puzzle lovers and other mental sports. We've dreamed of being able to compete at higher levels and at tournaments but where we live we have no such access to these activities even in schools. Everyone would be well accommodated with a conglomerate of activities available locally. No matter how small instead of none at all.
Great insight Mighti jamie , love it your surgical and your guest said it as it is , keep it up and continue to spread the themes with focus on social , educational, political, economical and international affairs -- your white uniform -- clean and clear - so be your show
I believe Gayton did the correct thing by advertising the names of those that received money from the department because it is our tax payers money and we need to know on who it is being spent. on. Is it not right that he highlighted all the wrong spending on Super Fans and upgrading of houses. At least he is on the right path and will learn fast.
This thing of Super fans is nonsense and it where money laundering is taking place. FNB's capacity is 80 000 all those 80 000 people are super fans not that Sgebengu mama joy n others. We need to pay from our pocket to be a super fan klaar.
If the focus is going to be on school sports , then I think that super fans should not even be funded at all from the ministry, that money is better spent and developing school sports. A serious discussion also needs to be had into filling up stadiums especially for South African soccer matches, we don't need super fans in that instances, we need fans period, filling up a stadium holds more weight then a few individual super fans in my opinion
When i was in School Library worked and even though i had a computer at home, most people had access at the library......they need to bring back the library in SA
He made his decision on publishing the list and the public deserves to khow the truth cause some record labels received the money but the artist under the labels are still struggling
Hi Jamie, great show. Man I wish there could be a contact line or email that we can submit to the minister. He has a great energy and I am hopeful that Gayton can take the department to greater heights. My wish is to have his contacts or some engagements happening especially when it comes to schools. I have a vast experience in the Arts which I think I can be of beneficial to the department.
What happened to PE/ Sports teachers we used to have in schools in the 80's and 90's. We used to have competitive sports with other schools. We used to have a yearly mini athletics at the beginning of the year with 6 to 8 other schools. WHAT DID THE ANC DO TO SCHOOL SPORTS. We also used to have municipal swimming pools in every area. Gayton is going back to the way it used to be.
It is interesting to hear your critique about this new minister. I would like to challenge you to place yourself in the minster's shoes and provide your clearly and well-defined plan as to how you would run this department if you where the minister. TH-cam is good platform to air your views, however, please be objective and look at the performance and management trends over the over the past 30 years vs the 10 days that the minister has taken office. The question that is pressing at the moment in my mind is that after 10 days, the critique seems a bit premature. I cannot see any critique about the previous 6 administrations. Please be objective and publish verifiable benchmarks which measures actual performance of all the ministers that had this job. Without any of these, this blog sounds like sensationalism and lobbyist!
Hi guys love the show and the information you guys provide, could you please check the mic's. Listening to this episode on my headsets is difficult as sound bounces from one ear to the next when you both speak
Jamie, in a previous live video, Mr McKenzie has talked about arts and culture as well. This was only based on one interview, he mentioned drama, performance arts and creating tours and festivals so that the young talent can have platforms to be recognised. I think with time and exposure he will broaden the scope but let's give him the time to come in and absorb the development that has taken place in sports, arts & culture in the past few years.
I love your guys but don't agree with some of your things. The minister had to start somewhere and he chose to start with sport. He will get to arts and culture. He just started in the position. If he started with arts and culture, some would have asked what about sport. All I'm saying is give him time. Don't know when last if ever we had a minister as hardworking as Minister Mckenzie.
Personally it's my 1st time watching the podcast and the hosts sounds brilliant a lot but I feel that they based their criticism on 15min conversation on SABC where even the host told the minister that they don't have enough time, there is a lot that still has to unfolded by the minister and we all wait in anticipation of what's next and what else is he planning to work on...maybe let's give h 50days then invite him to the podcast for 2 hours and grill him with questions and criticize him
I really don't see anything wrong in being Transparent with South Africans regarding Contribution's that are being used for our People of South Africa, but when there is MONEY spent on South Africans that don't need it, that's where they should be Focused on. Second Point, bringing Sports back at Schools is a Brilliant/Awesome IDEA as that is another way to keep Crime down and Scholars Focus, sitting down with Principle's/SGB of Schools so we can establish where and how these can be done and Creating Jobs at the SAME TIME.
Like the idea of a national lottery for super fans to get to watch and support their favourite sports team at World Cups! Jamie you should consider lobbying the department or join forces with an NGO/NPO to make this a reality.
In my opinion I think this issue of supper fans is problematic because it caters for certain individuals instead of choosing from different sports clubs of different sporting codes and have those fans rotating or changed to give chance to new upcoming supper fans
Minister Gayton please introduce sports in schools as well, the list was provided to Minister by already existing list so whoever included Makhadzi should answer
Sports is just a creation of discipline and people interaction. it is respect. as all 22 codes of sports create positive compitition and diversity and inclusion it's just not supported well enough. Indigenous games have been included for years now. as I mentioned there is more than 22 codes of sports.
Minister Gayton Mackenzie did nothing wrong same pple who benefited from covid relief were the one bashing the department saying it did nothing for them whereas they benefited...some who benefited did not even qualify. As a public we need to know where our tax money goes.u are the Minister Gayton Mackenzie ❤u did nothing wrong carry on doing what u do best .
He did say indegenous sport wiil be recognized and even mentioned other cultures that are ignored like Tsonga. Pls give him some time, he didnt say sports will be limited to what he mentioned he was just excited n mentioned few sporting codes
Spinning is in townships, it's very well supported by the young people, if it's going to keep oyr children away from drugs and jail, iv never been but I know people who go, and it's well attended by the youth
This is the ministers first round in office. He is a sports person but said himself that he is now learning about arts and culture. Any ideas from the public should go to his team so they can inform him. I know he will get around to working it in. He just has not ywt thought of everything but that is also why the public should apeak up. He did say that he will be having a meeting with the minister of education soon. They both are new to this but I am sure they both will do good at what tjey are doing.
I do not understand why they act as if we do not have the right to know how the countries money is spent...if he didn't put Makhadzis name there then we wouldn't have known her name was used and she did not benefit
Public money public right to know. Not controversial at all. Secrets lead to corruption and we had enough of that. Use public money you must not be shy or to arrogant to admit it.
Its very interesting that we all in conversations about these topics.....please support than to point out whats wrong....supper fan can be something business 😅 get involved in the lottery is already your idea 💡 make it happen
I think when he introduced the idea he referred to the Cape Flats so the car spinning would be the obvious event because it is already happening there.
We have a right to know how taxpayer monies is spent, you go Gayton, name and shame all the gravytrain riders, our youth needs a champion.
You are 200% with that statement, Gayton is my hero and no other politician will donate their government salary like him which just shows how pathetic the people are around him in the Union Buildings. I am with you 100%. The public has the right to know. I think he did a good thing, it's early days but the man is doing the most.
McKenzie love this country and want ALL South Africans to benefit from its rich resources. Let's #GaytonMcKenzie for president 2029.
Was the previous MINISTER on the right track? No No No.

At least there is a Minister who get people's tongues wagging within 10 days...What happened during the past 30yrs.
Now on that I agree
I also think we should not be throwing stones at the idea instead we should support the minister in his cause and request others to do the same

Love your guys ideas.
Mighti Jamie is an inspiration! keep going bro
Im from Mafikeng Spinning is HUGE every Sunday there are drags and Spinning near Matlalong graveyards and its ALWAYS PACKED
The ANC is practicing Theft / Corruption as a Super Sports 😅
Good idea to bring sports back into schools

Supporting grass roots Motorsport can be so good for the economy look at drag racing in America or drift from Japan
I think it's the right thing that he did because if there is funds available other artists that couldn't get funds they can then apply for funds

Northern Cape has a spinning venue...called Monster Mob.
I think Minister McKenzie has all Sports,Arts and Culture codes covered..
When i was in School Library worked and even though i had a computer at home, most people had access at the library......they need to bring back the library in SA
If it's public money it must be public info
Mighty Jamie you are 100 % correct, I even wish you can advice Gayton.
Swimming lessons must start from a very young age
foreign kids must not accepted in swimming coz we have too many of foreign kids playing soccer in SA
With his current form, he will probably gain more voters for the PA
I believe that Ramaphoria is remorseful for appointing this guy. Gayton is stealing limelight from ANC
You had too much fun on this one 😂 format for who!?
Wonderful ideas, I hope there will be breakdowns like is for every minister, especially the disaster we know as our public health care sector.
The lottery is a brilliant idea. It is very doable
I'm sure as time goes the Minister will give other sport ther place, give the man some time,,and a bells
He made his decision on publishing the list and the public deserves to khow the truth cause some record labels received the money but the artist under the labels are still struggling
We used to do school sports without funding
Gaydon you go. Disclose the list of Supper Fan and the Gravy Train list
