The Legend of Image: Future

"Silence didn't know what she was doing. That is, she didn't have a plan. She usually had a plan measured precisely and tested. However, how could she plan this time around? This new technology disrupted every aspect of her life. Silence made her living by entertaining The Public. For hundreds of years, The Public journeyed to her district for the one thing her people could provide. Her people, outcasts, neurodivergent... -- her people were those whom The Public labeled as disordered bodies and brains -- yet, The Public celebrated them for the entertainment they provided. When IMAGE was illegal, The Public depended on live entertainment. The Public depended on neurodivergence and disorder to temporarily escape from their cult, and therefore, her "disordered" community thrived. Legal IMAGE, however, disrupted her district's economy. This technology left the disordered, devalued."
