- T3E2 (Tractor 3, Episode 2) Belarus MTZ-952 restoration project. Episode 2.
In this episode:
* replace the turbo to a Czech Made (CZ) turbo, type: C14-101-01
* overhaul and replace all the fuel filters and lines

00:48 removing the old turbo
01:15 one of the bolts is already "fixed" by someone before me
01:22 they sold me the wrong turbo...
01:44 old turbo is still quite OK
01:50 replaced the turbo to a right model. CZ, C14-101-01
02:40 made my own version of the "broken" bolt.
02:50 all lubed up and ready to go, let's install the new turbo!!
04:00 all connected and ready, new turbo installed
04:08 did you see my new bolt??
04:45 new secondary filter housing and filter.. also all new fuel lines
05:25 primary fuel filter worn out and filled with old GOOO
05:32 all clean and ready to be installed back on tractor
05:55 priming the fuel system.. it's important to get the air out

Do there tractors have blowby through the dipstick . I tried buying 2 different MTZ tractors and both blew oil through the dipstick pipe. Is this normal when cold ...or hot ?

I really like this one, one day I might buy this model. Can you tell me which one is better, 892 or 952? If I am not mistaken they have the same engine but different gearbox. Are there any other differences?
Rear linkage is also different. 892 should have the old-school (dual-acting, push-pull type) linkage and 952 has the newer style linkage as modern tractors have.

Regarding the MTZ 952, what is its actual max speed?
I find contradicting information online. Some say it only drives up to 30km/h, while others state 40km/h is its max traveling speed.
I would greatly appreciate it, if you told me how fast your model goes. Thank you! ❤
It really depens on gearing. They can go as fast as 45. But the tractor you are asking about is with a 5 speed gearbox and max speed around ~30. But some of my tractors also drive around 35-37 max.

good video as usual. these days I will change the brakes to new ones on my 820. Do you think they should be completely dry or should the balls be greased? I have heard different
I don't know. I have never seen/been inside the brake housings yet.. Lucky me I guess.
@@hrz4x4 yes. Lucky you. I looked at the new brakes today, They are greasy from the store, so I gues they should be like that. I heard a time ago that if you clean/change and let the brakes be dry they work a lot better. In my case the old brakes locked them self if I push the pedal, and I need to go backwards to let them loose.. really scary in higher speed.
@@simonbarkman2593 I have that locking on one of the tractors. If I brake it will lock the wheel(s) instantly - but it will not stay locked. So the brakes are some day next thing to look at as none of my tractors really have brakes that you could call good. If you have grease on the friction material - that should be cleaned off. And on the mating surface also.. But other than that more grease is always better than none.
@@simonbarkman2593 the old style brakes have to be bone dry, and they are called self locking. It saves foot pressure but shouldn't stay on. My 50 and 52 have got these and they work well with occasional adjustment.
Not sure when they changed to wet brakes.
If you have the old brakes, they are very easy to strip down, turn the wheels inside out to give you more room.
@@warrenblain2365 okey. I have bought the two disk with balls inside combined with feathers. Because the old ones was bad. But when I opened the new ones they are really greased. It’s possible it’s dry inside and greased outside so the metal wouldn’t rust. I don’t no, I haven’t hade the time to get in to it yet,
Hey, I want to ask you, that's why you chose c14 101 turbo? Besauce there are more choices c14 127, c14 126, k27, k26 speaking about ČZ
It was available as a direct replacement for the factory turbo from the belarus dealership. No other reason.

Old one was making the sound but not the boost... I need the boost more than sound :)

All the newer type Belaruses have that system. Just look for "newer" type belarus fuel filter and I am sure you will find one.

Why did you switch to disposable fuel filter system?
Yes, I have done it on all my tractors. It's way easier to maintain and I believe it's also better.

820 vs 952 What is different engine spare parts beside turbo ? 🙏😍
This one has a different gearbox also. It's 4 speed with syncros. But the gearboxes should be interchangeable and I kind of like the 9 speed more.. And a different front axle on the 952 - that's the strongest one they have. And depending on the year and model different hydraulic systems were fitted. Mine has a German made hydraulic control valve system with I believe Italian rear 3 link system - but you can bolt on the previous model etc. But they are still the same Lego type as 820.. You can basically interchange a lot of the parts.

Здравствуйте, у 952 синхронизированная кпп, у 892 нет. У 1025 кпп и мост с 1221.

I don't know. I have not measured it.
What was the difference between the two czech ones?
@@iankunzli1189 (Wrong) One had vacuum operated wastegate. Both are used on MTZ engines btw.
How do you now when the turbo dont gives the boost?
@@iankunzli1189 Measure the boost. And you should feel (during work) when the turbo starts working.

What do you mean? It's MTZ original bracket and filter is standard.

Probably. They have fitted different turbos for MTZ, you would have to check it yourself to be 100% sure.

Olen veel hullemat kütusefiltrit puhatanud,mis oli laeni roostet täis ja mingit ollust.
Mul on ka jubedamaid olnud.. Tavaline on ju see, et filter visatakse seest välja, kui see ei tööta...
@@hrz4x4 Pärast jõuab see sodi pihustitesse ja kuna diiselkütuses on ka vett siis lähevad ka otsad lõpuks ära, kui filtreerimata sodi läbi lastakse. Ma ise olen kasutanud tänapäeva kütusega cleanflow lisandut. Praktikas toimib väga hästi. 1x aastas tasuks kõik filtrid üle pesta ja ära vahetada, seda kinnitab ka enda kogemus.
@@SuperMAZ007 Selle uue biolisandiga ei tea üldse, mis toimuma hakkab. Väidetavalt pidi seal vetikas sees kasvama hakkama, kui kütus kaua seisab...
@@hrz4x4 Ma vetikaid pole näinud aga ära riknemist küll. Hulgi ostes ehk alates 1t on võimalik saada ilma biolisandita diiselkütust.
