Really nice restoration , the red almost looks like candy red . There used to be lots of them here in New Zealand. Some people nicknamed them "Maori Canoe , rhyming with Mark two.
Love it, what a great job. My Dad had a brace of Consuls and Zephyres and a PA Cresta. When I started driving in 1977 I had 2 PA's myself and sadly, never got the white Mk 2 Zodiac I hoped for. The car is a credit to the owner and his wife. 0:040:04
Beautiful Zephyr, like you said, I picked up a Zodiac MK2, when I was young for £30. I have regretted selling it ever since! Young and not having the money to keep it. Those 2553cc engines are so good. Gorgeous.
Absolutely love your Zephyr ...We had a 1961 Mk 2 Zephyr bought brand new by my uncle here in Australia .. It was two tone grey ..155ci six . Three on the tree . Heavy duty interior in blue and white . We had it after my uncle and Dad sold it in the mid 1980s . I learned to drive in it . Only fault was the terrible turning circle..No three point turns , more like a five or six point turn ..Otherwise a great car ..Ford fan and since then owned three Escorts , a Ford Telstar TX5 Ghia only sold in Australia and New Zealand and a few Australian Ford Falcons ..Have a 2001 AU ll Futura and a 2008 FG XR6 now.. Love them both..
I had a 58 Consul M2 1730 three speed column change cost me £25 had been a Hackney Cab had about 120,000 when few cars reached 100,00. Drove it from Scotland to London. Loved it. Georges Zephyr is a beauty not sure about the Buick vents but a lovely car.
@datbs I don't have a connection to a zephyr I have an mgb gt and love all classics but I'm often found searching for larger classic options to accommodate my family and sit alongside my mg sports car
My family had a couple of Zephyrs from the early 60s. Of all the cars we've owned, I always considered them the worst. Mom went from the Zephyr to a Datsun 510. This Zephyr looks very pretty - likely the coolest one in the world!
I think you have the steering wheel upside down, the two bars coming from the middle should slop down not up, but hey what a super car, take care Tim..
The car looks absolute stunning a real credit to him and his wife .❤

Thank you for sharing your thoughts 😊
They are one of the best cars from the 50’s/60’s not sure why you think they are the worst
The engine had a certain sound to them . Always knew when was approaching from behind by the sound of the engine
I had two of these back in the late sixties, a red manual and a green automatic. Great cars apart from the wipers.
Thank you for sharing John please subscribe 😊
It's a lovely car, I actually had 3 of them, just a few to many accessories spoil it in my opinion. Still, a really nice restoration.
Glad you enjoyed it please make sure you subscribe 😊
excellent
Thank you
I would like to hear how it sounds - can't hear a thing with that 'music' ...
great video and car, can't beat a mk2
Thank you Shaun for your comment 😊
Mk2 is poo poo crap car
My brother had one . Felt cool as driving it . A real chick magnet, or at least that’s what us guys thought 😀
Thank you for sharing Neville make sure you subscribe do we can bring you more content you might enjoy 😊
I think you have the steering wheel upside down, the two bars coming from the middle should slop down not up, but hey what a super car, take care Tim..
As it’s not my car I wouldn’t know the answer to that but thank you for sharing your thoughts on the video Timothy and please subscribe to the channel
No they shouldn’t. They should slope slightly upwards, like the one in this car
I liked it better in original guise and grey before he added all the bells and whistles.
