Just wondered how much was the insurance for Turkey and can you just turn up buy it on the border or do you need to arrange it 1st and just pick it up on the border? Also do you know if a carnet de passage is required for temporarily importing a UK car into Turkey or is my V5C, IDP and UK driving licence surffient? Thanks.

No doubt you did really hard to make it but for me its like a biggest achievement of life :) Two days ago I was just thinking about a road trip from Karachi to Middle East so i just tried to search on internet and found your trip here which made me so excited and motivated positively that this can be done, so far i have watched past two videos of past 2 days and i can't express my feelings here how excited i am now :) This is really amazing man :) would watch it complete definitely. How many VISAs you had of different countries to travel from London to Karachi & How much you spent on the entire journey ? Would love you hear you. lots of love and respect from my side. It truly felt like a once in a life time adventurous opportunity, i thoroughly enjoyed it, so much that I will be travelling again on a Grand Trip, InshAllah. Being a British citizen, i only had to apply and obtain Turkish and Iranian visa. My expenditure for one way was £1500 inclusive of fuel, accommodation, food, tolls, insurances etc. My advice, if you get an opportunity to travel and see the world then don't let it pass you by, avail it. It will require some planning and some effort but its all worthwhile at the end. All the best and happy travel.
Can someone else that is driving alongside you can drive if it has a driving license? When you feel exhausted of keep driving and keeping same posture for long periods. I'm from the UK
Yes, if you have license and insurance then sure you can drive but if you’re asking that if you’re driving with me in my car then NO, since i like to travel with my family and don’t like to share my ride.

It’s hard to say how much it’s going to cost, normally the price for road trip varies, depending upon the choice of car you’ll drive, the way you drive will determine the cost of fuel, type of place you choose to spend the night would dictate cost of accommodation, your preferred route and places of interest on your route will also add to the total expense and so on... having said that on average it may cost you anything between £300 - £600. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your comment. Yes you can travel to Pakistan in your 2013 Prado. You can only temporarily import your car for maximum of 3 months using Carnet de Passage since it’s older than 3 years. So you will require, Pakistani visa + visa for all the other countries that you wish to travel through, international driving license, car insurance and Carnet de Passage. Hope this helps.
Yes it is possible, you need to obtain visa for yourself and Carnet de Passage for your car in-order to drive through Iran. Contact your local automobile association to find out how to acquire this.
If you have a British passport then you don’t need a visa for any European country however you will still need to apply for Iran’s visa. For other passports you will need to apply for a visa to cross Europe , hope this helps.

Car insurance was required for all the countries with exception of Pakistan only. I had already bought the insurance to drive through Europe, then for Turkey I purchased it at the border, likewise for Iran.

a Toyota LC V8 Gasoline surely drinks so much fuel. but its really relieable car. top!
Sure it does drink fuel, downside of owning a V8, but what an engine it is, amazing. Powerful, smooth and very reliable, one the best 4x4s around.
How much did diesel cost from uk to pakistan.
My car is duel fuel, on petrol and LPG, the total fuel cost was £1000 for one way trip.
