Finally! I've been trying to find a GOOD video of the Oosterdamn. I'll be doing a two week cruise on this bad boy at the end of August and was really curious about the layout. It's a beautiful ship. Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you for your overview. Really appreciate this sneak peek. We will be on this ship twice: September-October (Croatia, Turkey, Greece) and November 2025 (TransAtlantic crossing) after spending a month in Morocco between the cruises.
Does oosterdam have a soda machine, or do they just have cans? We got a "have it all package" for our upcoming cruise but cant find anywhere how it works. Do they give you a wrist band to identify you have the package or a special cup you use for sodas?
I am considering my first HAL 21 day cruise in Mediterranean September 2026 on the Oosterdam. The public space look extremely small. Is this an issue for passengers?
@@TripswithAngie oh good. Thank you! I appreciate the tour. We’ve only been on the Rotterdam and Nieuw Statendam. We are heading out on the Oosterdam next May.
What a boring looking ship! Even Carnival's fantasy class ships have more going on than this. We're sailing on Noordam in a couple months to Japan, followed by Oosterdam in 2026. I guess I'll start the harry chest and belly flop contest myself! I've sailed Nieuw Amsterdam 3 times, and I'm always hoping to see a surprise zip line through the MDR.
You definitely aren't Holland America's demographic if you are looking for a hairy chest or belly flop competition. Holland America is more chill and more clothed.
@TripswithAngie I have sailed Carnival 3 times, Royal once, Celebrity 4 times, Holland 3 times. I was joking in my comment, and while I am not Holland's demographic, I like good food, service, cabins, and itineraries more than fun ship features. I get more benefit one day at a theme park than a week or two on one of those ships.

That will be fun to be back on board after a month.
Thanks! We are considering a Mediterranean cruise on this ship so I really appreciate this tour!
Glad you found it helpful
Good overview, booked on holiday sailing for South America,South Pole.
Bon Voyage!
Good review. Do you remember the opening hours of the gym? is it a 24H gym? Thanks
It's not 24 hours, but I think it was open around 17 hours a day.

No.
Where did you go on this video? Antarctica?
We are going to do the
South America cruise. Will the 1st part be warm and the 2nd part be cool?😮
We sailed South America. You can read more here: cruises.substack.com/p/sailing-south-america
Are there any laundromats on this ship? Or do you have to send your laundry to housekeeping and be charged $$$ for it?
No self service, but you can get a laundry package for around $7 per day or they sometimes have a special for a bag for around $20 or $30.
What did you think of their South America cruise please?
Loved it. You can read more about it here; cruises.substack.com/p/sailing-south-america
Isn't there any classical music anymore ? A string quartet in one of the bars ?
No strings on board for our sailing.
Do they allow smoking in the casino?
No.
