continued....they still are very much working dogs. i own three. one is a daughter to grand champion bruno dvr who is the third dog in the lineup and actually won westminster in 2011.
let me educate you some more....the bite force of a pitbull is 227. the bite force of a mastiff 550. i have an eleven month old that weighs 127 pounds and SHE is not close to done. my male weighs 185. still think your pit could take it. my dogs leave me small game daily at the door, your pitty is next

tigers vs lions they both are great fighters none will win but a lion is much more braver then any tigers I seen tigers run from large dogs but with a lion they fight dogs head up before they flee
