Gold and Gears and Swarm Disaster both had 4k Jade worth of permanent rewards. It comes out of the patch budget but it's nice for newer players because it doesn't go away after the patch cycle.
The craziest thing is most gacha are this way , constant game modes, content its just genshin that is hell bent on doing as little as possible and turning the game into mini game events every patch with one story quest and maybe a new area to explore

For genshin a lot of the development time goes into creating the open world. It's easy to make tons of content for HSR because the maps are tiny

Apocalyptic Shadow is getting added in the same way as PF, now there will be just one more mode, on the same 2weeks for next mode to refresh. Which means more variety and more characters moving up in tier lists, getting more usage and all.
DU also doesn't replace SU and even said to be a "research field" which most likely means that successful stuff in it will be put in SU later on.
Idk what you're on about. Straight up upgrades, QoL, variety without ANY negatives/tradeoffs.

I find it absolutely hilarious how no one can read the graphs when they post them updating the weekly schedule of the game modes. He states that there’s now 720 more Jade, when in fact there is no more Jade than before. This game mode simply switches around the schedule of MOC and Pure Fiction; it is the same amount of content; just with greater game mode variation. 😂

I mean like I play both games man. I'm pulling Arlecchino when she comes out. But HSR's dev team is just better. They listen to community feedback, gives us great rewards, and continues to provide us with QoL that we sometimes don't even ask for. That's why I spend in HSR and only a mintpicker in Genshin.

If genshin just added a weekly spyral abyss with more meaningful choices and boss rooms with there own mechanics which incentives bow use or the room bounces giving plunge. Gave you a score for that rather than just damage. It would be such a big improvement.
But genshin has an advantage over hsr. You can finish star-rail update content in like 2 days, genshin is vast in size but also so manny quests, it has allot more world quests which literally expand the world. Feels like each patch gives you weeks of content. Exploration world puzzles, starrail relies on repetitive content. If you don’t enjoy doing SU over snd over and messing with settings then it doesn’t offer a ton.
So understandably each game has different goals. Though i cant deny the patches in starrail feel like a celebration and genshin feels the stingy rich uncle reluctantly giving you 5$ in your birthday card

Jokes aside, I think this game mode should really solidify the theory that at the end of the day all players do need multiple type of teams.
Because of Pure Fiction I actually build Herta & Himeko, I don't who I should build for this new game mode.
MoC: you can use multiple teams depending on MoC buff and boss. (Usually Destruction path playground)
PF: you use characters that have AOE damage and good follow up mechanic (usually Erudition path playground)
AS: I think its gonna be a single massive boss from Echo of Wars with slight mechanic adjustment. (Might be Hunt playground, or Break team)

People saying HSR game modes being reskins of Simulated Universe can't fathom the idea of having something challenging for your units after you finish the story (while getting rewarded). Back in Inazuma we got Labyrinth Warrior event, one could say it's "just Abyss reskin" and I think this is why Genshin never received any more of it.

I mentioned this before but it’s CRAZY how HSR have given just overall more permanent modes for the game IN ONE YEAR then genshin has in three years. I don’t give a damn genshin open world that still not an excuse. I gave up caring but bro☠️. Hell you even able to do certain events if you missed out.

The way I'm reading the Save File and Quick Claim functions for DU looks very promising. You get a run you like, and for the rest of the week, you can load up that save file and jump straight to the boss to rapidly farm out planars. Very much looking forward to that.
Outside of the free drops you get each week from SU rewards, I don't farm planars because of how tedious it is. I just make do with what I get, and if I'm really desperate for a specific piece I'll just try to craft it.
Its hilarious that Genshin had conditioned so many people, to the point they forget that what HSR is doing, is what every single Gacha game EXCEPT Genshin, does lol. Like this is just common practice 😂. But because Genshin is so stagnant, people see HSR doing this and are like "NO FUCKIN WAY 🤯🤯🤯"

i absolutely loved Sim Universe. It is quite literally a game within a game with so many modes, cheeses, buffs, your choices, and there is no singular god way to complete a run. And the lore that can be found hoooboi

Regarding what was said at 2:20, I assume what it means is, after a run you can “save” whatever Blessings and Curios you received during that run, and then use that “save” on any of the Bosses you fight, instead of having to do numerous runs and not even be guaranteed to get the same Blessings and Curios.
Think of it like a loadout, but it resets weekly so you still have to do a full run at least once per week.
That was my guess too. Nikke has a similar system for their daily simulated roguelike thing.
2:27 from my understanding, it means that you can directly challenge the main boss of that World (e.g Something unto death, Abundant Deer, Yanqing, etc) and use the blessings and curios you have gotten through save file
In other words, if during one of your runs, you get extremely lucky and obtain so much OP blessings and curios, you can save that through 'save file' then challenge the main boss using those saved blessings/curios over and over again until it reset weekly

regarding the simmy save system i suspect you do a normal simmy, then you can save and re-do the boss fight for more rewards, simple as that!
It specifically mentions buffs and paths though..... What it looks like to me is you can save your buffs, ala what Nikke does. Nikke lets you save a buff after every run (it has a cap of only 8 though), and every. Idk 2 weeks? That resets and you have no starting buffs anymore.
Jumping straight to the boss after a completion sounds fine as well though
I love it when this update pops out then sees genshin tcg updates also pops out in my timeline, can really see the difference between those two
Aventurine just helped me finish Swarm Disaster and I'm working through G&G right now. Agreed, if Genshin had just invested in an endgame activity they updated (not just refreshed) every couple of weeks, I'd still be playing. I love SU, and it makes me want to come back to use my really powerful units. Looking forward to DU!
Glad to see mtash staying after the news about the content creator stream. I really thought he was out of the game with the news mohoyo made, but I'm glad to see he still sees the incredible value in the game.

Just when I finished Golden Gear 100%, they give us more MOC type content and Sim Universe type content. I wish their other game had same treatment. Yet another HSR W.
Man... I got really lazy with Golden gear and Swarm disaster, it's just not fun for me because I only have two teams built. A dot team and a Follow up team with Xueyi, Clara and now Aventurine while on my way to build Dr. Ratio.
Yeah combat content is all Genshit needs to be fun again. Exploring is fun and all but who wants to spend 5 hours mindless looking for chests and/or listen to Paimon yap for 10 hours. Combat is fun and getting jades from my hard work building characters is even better

@@lucas1309 Aventurine alone can carry any team in SU content. With preservation path you do shit tons of dmg and you're unkillable. Most of the time it is a blessing issue, not a team issue.

THE WAY U CAN COMPLETE YOUR DAILIES IN HSR IS ALREADY A BIG WIN
It's a new mode but I believe it's the same amount of primos per patch cycle. Not inherently bad, but I think we can see the vision of what endgame is going to be going forward. Much like how pure fiction is an 'erudition buff', the new mode sounds like a 'hunt buff', which honestly Hunt units really need to justify their jade's worth. But with 3 endgame modes tackling 3 different playstyles, I think we're starting to lean into the need to make separate endgame related team builds for every type. Eventually there won't be a 'one-party fits all' deal (unless you E6 characters). That said, for new players, they'll either have the units to beat a mode or they'll simply won't get the jade. And we can already see this 'separation' being tested with the introduction of a planetary set that only gets its full value in Pure Fiction.
Hopefully, we're going to be incentive to pull endgame mode specific characters with specific relic sets, they can give us loadouts.
HSR : We have optimized the SU and also a new game mode

I assume they mean it in the same sense that they had set up the last big SU update
(with either swarm disaster, or Gold and Gears, can't remember whichone ) lm which we are given a bonus ability for having 3 blessings of another type when you already have 3 blessings of your originally chosen type!

I mean… my best team right now for clearing content even before I got my Acheron and Aventurine (yes I got lucky and have both) utilized Topaz and dr. Ratio together, so I think hunt is mostly fine if you get the right team setup.

If anyone has played reverse 1999 you should know that once we clear any stage the entire fight will be recorded and saved and can be auto played after even and you can even claim x4 rewards. As for the new game mode it's also like reverse 1999's raid boss mode where points are accumulated after doing damage to a single enemy with almost infinite hp. Most of these Chinese game companies take little ideas from each other and I knew already that they would add that new game mode.

Classic stingy hoyo: adds new end-game, but makes sure it replaces the resets of the other 2 end-game, so that every 2 weeks only 1 type of end-game resets. Small indie company would go broke if they'd reset all 3 end-game modes every 2 weeks -> 2160 jades per 2 weeks instead of 720.
Yeah I really wish it wouldn't be that way. But more then likely will.
The simulated Univers is the bezt content in this game . Swarn disaster and Gold and Gears were fun af ; competitive and took time to clear. Can't wait for the next one.

Day 1: gather 20 mints. Rewards: 1 primogem. during the event, for every 10 mints you get, you get 10 flat attack bonus.
Day 2: gather 25 mints. Get 1 primogem.
Day 3: 30 mints. 1 primogem.
Day 4: 35 mints. 1 primogem.
Day 5: 40 mints. 1 primogem.
Day 6: 45 mints. 1 primogem.
Day 7: 50 mints. 2 primogems. and a 3* mint recipe.
Special reward is given once you finish the Event Story (it’s an 8-hour story of Paimon talking about mint food). You also get a 4* free catalyst that gives you 50% chance to get double mints whenever you pick up a mint in the open world.

Devs reduce reward count of other mods so the new mod brings the same amount of max monthly reward for much more investment on top of the much more investment needed per update to squeeze U dry. Wild sht right there my man star rail managed to pull inflation and people praising it for that 😂😂😂

To be honest mr tashed the overall amount of jades stay the same since the schedule is still 2 weeks per new type of end game content but only time will tell if theres extra stuff attatched with the new mode
HSR will always keep me playing, I'm trying to get back into Genshin recently but I'm getting annoyed trying to figure out what materials I needed to farm, especially for that hydro guy on the current banner that I ended up pulling but can't even access the materials to level him up until I get through more story and can explore the areas these materials are, it's been extremely frustrating and I have no idea how new players even try to get into the game
Genshin will always keep me playing. I’m trying to get back into HSR recently but I’m bored of the turned based gameplay. I can’t even jump. Also, the power creep in HSR is really bad. They say they added new Endgame content but it looks all the SAME to me. Kill mob by presses E or Q. There is NO complexity in this game. Have you played other turn based games like Baldur’s Gate 3? Persona Series? Heck even Pokémon’s Combat system is more complex. You are so blinded by your hard-ON for HSR that you can’t even see the flaws HSR has

Star rail devs have given us so much. And they're doing all this so consistently too. Genshin has added QoL stuff too, but it took them years to finally add things that were a given from the start.
What is it with Physical Units and new endgame content. Everytime a new physical unit gets released a new gamemode follows suit. PF was released when Argenti came and a new one comes with Boothill and Robin.

With the new mode the jades are still 720 each two weeks. We don't get more jades. With Apocalyptic Shadows, each gamemode will reset after 6 weeks and right know each gamemode resets after 4 but exists for 6 weeks. I really like MoC so not sure how I feel about having less MoC, lets see how the new gamemode will be.
I really hope they don't go that route. I wish they would do a one week rotation and just give a bit more rewards.
im still waiting for them to bring instant use of foods... when sprinting around with dhil or killing mobs with acheron you always out of technique points and every time u try to use food it opens a page to choose food. just use it immediately when i press it plsssss

Yeah I honestly have gotten burned out of genshin and have been mostly playing star rail partially bc I really want adventurine.
So, Genshin started in a single endgame mode, while HSR started with two. Then HSR added a third. And they’re about to add a fourth. Plus one of the first two has two sub-variants and is adding a third.
Wait, does TCG and the Teapot count as endgame? Then it’s 3 to… 7.
At this point, HSR devs cooking 3* Michelin meals are no surprising. Same goes to that one game that never made changes in 3yrs.😂

It's nice that they give you a reason to want to build more characters. It gives me that drive to build new units out and maybe even pull specific ones.
Some might say it's a bad thing because they are kinda 'forcing' players to build certain units, but I would rather have a reason to use someone than not.
@@bromegaman5962 Exactly I think its an awesome thing. Then some character you already have GAIN value even when getting newer ones. So this way I have no problem investing in the game every couple of patches even though im like 90% F2P lol
@@itsjustdroid Yeah same. I will gladly put some extra money in every now and then if I feel it's worth it. It feels so much better then when I played Genshin. There's just no drive for me with that game.

Now IMAGINE when the 3 wishes drama happened and people really did quit and i mean alot of people. How quickly they would start actually patching up Genshin's many long term issues.
Yeah not only did people not quit, the banner that followed the drama was one of the best selling banners they’ve ever had. Sadly Genshin has no competition so there’s little reason for them to actually change.

@@skyhart9926 I’ve heard it was the CR/Nahida banner had the most day 1 sales of any banner though I admit I haven’t looked into the numbers specifically myself so it’s possible that’s incorrect. As far as WW being competition, I really hope people stop making this claim because it’s just going to end up in disappointment when it has a small fraction of Genshin playerbase 6 months after release. Just like WW for what it is and stop comparing it to Genshin.

They are NOT throwing another 720 jades to collect. Apocalyptic Shadow is replacing one of the MoC\PF rotation. Its the same amout of jades but now its harder to obtain them coz you need to pull for more characters. You need 2 single-target focused team for this mode.
Hoyo hates us Genshin players, we realized that a long time ago. For Hoyoverse Genshin is not a priority project, unfortunately.

this makes me regret stopping playing after the first month, cuz i feared it would be the same as with genshin so i never wanted to get attached to the game if it were gonna end up the same. came back a week ago and i've missed out on so much cool characters and end game stuff, sadge
To be completely fair, as a turn-based game with 0 exploration, star rail kinda HAS to have this much endgame to keep players around. Genshin has a TON of open-world exploration to make up for it, although I’m not saying that excuses the utter lack of endgame content
yeah but again, there's a reason characters in Genshin have 1 exploration oriented passive and 5 combat oriented skills and passives, the game needs to remember that it has a combat system, the overworld enemies suck and the Abyss is just ew
Funny that all of this exploration is worth of nothing and vast majority of players don't even bother to waste their life on that LMAO

@@sedij2358 that's not really a problem if the exploration itself was fulfilling, like if we had a region as good as dragonspine in every nation, I would actually consider Genshin a good exploration game, problem is even when they concentrate on exploration, the experience is so lacking

I will say its a great update,but it should be the same number of gems, as currently we have 3 active at a time(either double hall or double fiction) where as this schedule theres no double ups so if it just offers the same rewards it doesnt seem to be more unless i am missreading it.
I can only wish that Genshin had different end game modes😔😔 At least something similar to Pure Fiction would be greatly appreciated I love Pure Fiction in HSR...Genshin's combat is my absolute favorite and no matter how I much I try to convince my self my heart knows that I don't enjoy turn-based combat as much as real time combat but sadly the only way for u to play and enjoy genshin is if u really like the story because that's all there is to it...!!!
