21 locks was rather hard work, the help was definitely appreciated 😁 and the pub at the end was very welcomed 🤗 🍻 pleased to say there are no traffic lights on the canal! 🤣
It was overall a very smooth day considering. Nice weather and really friendly lock keepers. Equally as smooth as the beer at the pub at the other end 😋🍻 Thanks for watching ☺️ ❤️

Half a dozen of us - incompetent VI formers at the time - did Hatton locks on our first canal holiday (over 40 years ago). We were proud that we managed 4 minutes per lock - with one of our number setting the next one and another of us trailing behind to close sluces and gates. We moored in one of the ponds between a pair of the lower locks and woke up the next morning to find that some idiot had opened both top and bottom sluces on the lock below and we were high and dry in a sea of mud.
4 minutes? Wow.. I think that is genuinely a world record! I wasn't timing ours, but easily 10-15 per lock! My excuse is there are only 2 of us, a terrible excuse I know 😂 but I'm sticking with it! Thanks for watching and commenting ❤️☺️
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately that cruise was just 2.2 miles of back to back locks! Sometimes that's all part of Narrowboating. Next week I'm sure there will be scenery 👍
