On Sunday, June 30, 2024, the KANAKA O2Y (Okinawa to Yoron) Channel Crossing SUP Race was held. Since the finish line was at Tatidara Beach on Yoron Island, I went there to watch finish.
The athletes were all so cool. From what I’ve heard, SUP athletes can handle almost all kinds of marine sports.
Since SUP is a relatively new sport, is it still not very well known. I expected more islanders to come and support, but that wasn't the case (lol).
I hope it gets more exciting next year. I want more athletes from around the world to participate, to know the beauty of this channel, and to share it with the world.

ひでさん、このレースのコースは絶対に海がとてもきれいなはず。特に外海から与論島の珊瑚礁の内海に入るところなんて私も体験してみたいです。無理だけど😁
