The food looks great! I was taught in a cooking class that when using a knife on a cutting board, to just cut through the food and not keep sawing into the wood after each cut. Этот салат у нас называют Козел в огороде. Кратко --Козел. И вот эта какая то кися-мися очень вкусная. Только мы кладём ещё мясо вареное кубиками или колбаску, морковь по корейски, капусту какую то одну, можно пекинку, а в центр выкладываем пакетик чипсов. Этот салат улетает первым.
Когда делаю такой салат, капусту перетираю с солью, лук мариную, заправку делаю, смешивая лимонный сок, горчицу и подсолнечное масло. Если есть что-то мясное, тоже добавляю.

A salad very similar to this was popular in the US a number of years ago and it was layered in a bowl. Mayonnaise was spread over the top layer and the bowl was covered in plastic wrap and placed in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight. It was delicious. I believe our had English peas and lettuce. There were about seven ingredients. This also looks delicious and the dressing is interesting.
That's a 7 layer salad. I make it every Christmas. Yum.

В похожий салат я режу овощи не кубиком,а тонкой соломкой и вместо капусты сырую свеклу
Я ещё добавляют горошек зелёный, соломкой мясо и картошку фри и с 90 годов у нас он назывался взрыв.
