Kinda waste for a sleek modern-looking train to be plying such a slow route. They should have designed the rolling stock to be like classic trams, or like the Enoden.
As you say, the Kabe Line is a sufficient line for LRT. However, JR West also has the advantage of reducing costs by sharing vehicles with the San'yō Main Line.
