My favorite wrestler of all time and my favorite interview for which he ever sat. Both men are such professionals. On this interview especially, many people could learn from Hannibal how to interview wrestlers; like Bill he has a broad wrestling-business background so he knows his stuff yet he still does the research, asks brief questions that he knows will produce long & informative answers, and once he asked those questions, he gets out of the way and lets the subject tell their story.

I used to think that Dundee was a,....well,....a *_GOOF_* ,....until I came to learn the _REAL_ "history"...of the MidSouth/Tennessee territory. As such, as a wrestling fan, I've come to develop a certain degree of admiration & respect for his talent. It's fair (and,...the *_truth_* !!) to say that; without *Bill Dundee* in the early-to-mid 80's, MidSouth wouldn't have been nearly _half as hot_ as it was!!

The first autographs I ever got were of Bill Dundee and Jerry Jarrett in '78 or '79 when they were going to the ring, and both stopped to sign my 4" x 6" pics that I bought for $.50 a piece. I've lived in Hendersonville, TN most of my life, so I ran into him a few times out in public. I also got a pic and autograph with him in Jackson, TN before Lawler vs. Funk on their last singles match in '15 or '16 that I drove 3 hours each way to see. Well worth the money and time! He's always been very cool every time I've met him! Thanks for posting and sharing this! Brings back great memories for me!

I like Billy's refreshing humility and honesty . I well remember his ringcraft over here in Australia back in the 60's . Although he was never a topliner here in Australia , he was nonetheless a great worker/seller . Seems to have aged really well too . George Barnes , whom he mentioned as being his professional partner early in his career , was a comparably proficient wrestler . I worked on a couple of shows in Sydney in which he also participated back in the 80's , and he still had the explosive dynamism and arousing theatrical demeanor . Always getting heat .

There is only one Superstar, and it's not this guy.

Dundee is more of a legend in the south than Graham or any other "Superstar." I love them both, personally. Dundee in the late 70s and 80s was one of the the reasons Memphis made so much money and had such great TV ratings.
