Another masterpiece of India's History and Hinduism. The story is focused in two children that are traveling through time to see the Avatars of Lord Vishnu from Narad Muni's point of view. The Dashavatara are the ten primary avatars of Vishnu, a principal Hindu god. Vishnu is said to descend in the form of an avatar to restore cosmic order. The word Dashavatara derives from daśa, meaning "ten", and avatāra, roughly equivalent to "incarnation".

There are 24 avatars and infinite expansions of the Lord mentioned in Shrimad Bhagvatam. It's impossible to get into each of His avatar in a single movie even after shortening the story. However let's just appreciate the fact that the movie could portray the summary of Sanatan Dharma.

Jay and Vijay were the gatekeepers of Lord Vishnu's abode. They were once cursed by the Sanat Kumars to be born on earth. So they took 3 births as enemies of Lord Vishnu. First they took birth as Hiranyaksh and Hiranyakashyapu who where killed by Varah and Narsimha avatars of the Lord respectively as seen in the movie, next they were born as Ravan and Kumbhkaran and were killed by Lord Ram, next they were born as Shishupal and Dantvaktra who were killed by Lord Krishna.

It's controversial that Gautam buddha was one of the avatar or not .. But he is considered Mahatma (great soul) by everyone.
I am from Nepal, from birth place of buddha. The after life of lord buddha was white elephant in Kailash in which head is transplant with in lord ganesha. later he birth as Gautam Buddha, In his forehead no~doubt lord Vishnu has but the knowledge was given by lord shiva bcoz in shakya dynasty their kul devta is also a lord shiva.
And now Gautam Buddha is in kailash lives with lord shiva he worship lord shiva once in a week.

@@sauraav3209 lord Budhha born recently as compared to the story of Lord Ganesha. So how it can be after life . But even if mahatma budhha's previous life was that white elephant which means he is not the incarnation of lord Vishnu .

In some of the lores it's said that while Mother Sita was kidnapped and while Lord Raam broke down in her grief, the vines of the jungle came up in the form of beautiful women and tried to hug Lord Raam, to console him, Lord Raam stopped them all as he was vowed to have a Single wife and wouldn't be with any other woman with his body or soul, however he owed them the affection, so he promised them all to reincarnate as Krishna in the next Yuga and fulfill them with his love in that Leela. That's how we see the episode of Raas Leela of Vrindavan.

You are mistaken. The place where Jatayu fell is Lepakshi in Karnataka. It is a well know pilgrimage. Jatayu Para is just a tribute.
@@Exiide89Well it's debatable. Chadayamanagalam(Kerala), Lepakshi (Karnataka) and Vijayaraghava Perumal temple in Tamil Nadu are three places which have the same mythological history.

All of the Avatars were not aware of their divinity and they were not powerful as God Vishnu himself, they had many limitations ..But Krishna was lord himself( he had all the 16 kalas) He was aware of his divinity and he knew he was Vishnu... That's why many of us call Krishna as the supreme God.

There are four lines of disciplic succession: one from Lord Brahma, one from Lord Siva, one from Laksmi, the goddess of fortune, and one from the Kumaras. The disciplic succession from Lord Brahma is called the Brahma-sampradaya, the succession from Lord Siva (Sambhu) is called the Rudra-sampradaya, the one from the goddess of fortune, Laksmiji, is called the Sri-sampradaya, and the one from the Kumaras is called the Kumara-sampradaya. One must take shelter of one of these four sampradayas in order to understand the most confidential religious system. In the Padma Purana it is said, sampradaya-vihina ye mantras te nisphala matah: if one does not follow the four recognized disciplic successions, his mantra or initiation is useless.
