That's why we have bhagwatt geeta that will be basic guideline for us to reach mokshha. I've heard that the live action series is doing the cardinal mistake of not being faithful to the original IP/story and trying to be better when it actually can't. The biggest offenses being skipping character arcs like Aang growing up from being a kid and taking on his responsibility/duty as the Avatar and Sokka rising above basically sexism.
So, I am not expecting or even looking forward to the live action series.

As told by Shankaracharya of Puri, who is considered as the top religious person. The avatar of Buddha among Vishnu's dashavatar is different than Gautam Buddha. Gautam Buddha's real name was Sidharth. You can search on TH-cam it's a 4 minutes video. Vishnu avatar of Buddha came alot earlier than Gautam Buddha.

Krushn in Bhaagvad Geeta says "Mein Dharti Par Avatar Leta Hun", I take Avatar on Earth. Avatar means Incarnation, Avataran means Descent. Also it's called Bhaag Vud Geeta and not Bhagvat Geeta. Bhaag is a fraction, vad or vud is "-IZED" or "-IZATION", so Bhaag-vud essentially means organised in parts or Chapterised Geeta, unlike what was told to or bestowed upon Arjun. I think the incarnation definition clashes with western faiths, so it's not accepted the way it really implies, in the west. So maybe a 50 years ago the west would've totally refused to accept Avatar as a descent, probably defining it a Sanskrut word for immigration in their research papers and various dictionaries.

It's not Avtara, it's Avtar, Rama is Ram, moksha is Moksh, karma is karm, balaram not balarama, Arjun not Arjuna, pandav not pandava, kaurav not kaurava, himalay not himalaya and when there's actually an A, like Ganga it's Ganges and atma is Atman.... All meaning changes in sanskrit.

Ganges is indeed Ganga yet as a Tamil Hindu we go by GANGAI (i at the end).
