    Thank you for sharing. My daughter was diagnosed with FND with seizures/attacks. Gone to neurologist and psychiatrist and on and on. Hoping we can find something that can work for her. Nice to know she is not alone. Thank you 🙏

      Thanks for your comment. Recovery can take time which is really frustrating. In the meantime, I hope your daughter is doing ok with her diagnosis and symptoms. Cx

    thanks for your video. I have gone from specialist to specialist since being hit in the head by a wave in May 2013. I have had so many different diagnosis from every different doctor I have seen. I have had so much medication and now my last neurologist says It was not appropriate. One doctor said I had myoclonic seizures due to spinal damage ( may 2019) the last said it was FND ( May 2021 ). I love section / part 2 just accepting symptoms,

      I hear you there Andy. I was 10 years before I got my diagnosis and then had to figure out my recovery myself. I hope you got something from the video and wishing you every success in your recovery. Thanks for watching, C

    Tk you for your video. It has been challenged to find recovery support from the health system because there is not a program that help outpatient

      You are very welcome. I had the same experience…little guidance from the health system and I had to figure out my recovery for myself. It’s not easy. I found the neurosymptoms.org website helpful. Best wishes, C

    Thank you so much for sharing! It is so good to hear about your journey to recovery. I think I especially needed to just show some compassion for my nervous system today. I have been using a combination of yoga nidra, medication, physio and supplements which have had quite significant changes in a short amount of time. Also actively listing to my body to understand how I got so bad. I have known I am HSP for a long time and your video helping me really embrace that as an extension of this so I can stay mindful when symptoms do flare up rather than worrying. Thank you

    • @Ciarashomeyoga
      @Ciarashomeyoga  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Amy, listening to our bodies is the only way. 💛When I got symptoms in the past I always ask myself ‘what is my body trying to tell me?’ and it’s usually to slow down. I used to try to do everything and do it all perfectly. Society gives us the impression that be worthy we have to be constantly achieving, successful and looking good. It’s no wonder our nervous systems get overworked! However, knowing that our worth comes from our ability to look after ourselves, we can choose to live differently. I hope you take this recovery time to really nourish yourself. And ask yourself ‘what would nourish me today?’. Daily self care can make all the difference. I’m delighted to hear you found some things that work for you too. I love yoga nidra too!! Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed the video. Take care, Cx

    Thank you very much for this video. I look forward to following you and trying out the yoga. I would like to hear your views on how to keep the balance and calm when under pressure of children and work. Thank you.

      I would just recommend prioritising rest & relaxation, whatever that means to you. It’s hard to do but it is possible. Even 10 minutes of breathwork every day can be balancing. For me I lowered my standards from perfect to ‘good enough’ to make time for myself. Winnicotts ‘good enough’ parenting was refreshing to learn and helped me a lot. Hope that helps. Glad you liked the video. Ciara

      Hi James, I get you. I was told when I was diagnosed that a lot of people struggle with the diagnosis. My diagnosis made sense to me because I was over 10 years with symptoms and no real diagnosis or medications that worked in that long decade. I hope this video helped even a little bit and that you are doing ok. Take care, C

    Thank you for the video. I’m trying to find answers for my daughter. Did you decide to switch from structural engineering to being a yoga instructor in order to get better?

    • @Ciarashomeyoga
      @Ciarashomeyoga  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, I stepped back from full time Structural Engineering when I had my kids. I’ve done some part-time work in engineering over the years since then. Wishing your daughter every success in living with FND. I hope she’s doing ok. She’s lucky to have your support.

    I hear a woman describing her anxiety state so why does she keep speak of fnd recovery? Well done you taught yourself how to relax and your anxiety decreased. Whoever came up with fnd as a name did many a disservice.
