Thanks Buffalo for your excellent presentation.

I'm trying now to see if my ex wife can find it to return to me. She's not a very cooperative woman. Rest in peace Darrell Jessie. May God keep your family safe in their time of sorrow.
Thank you. I painted the face of the front site orange. The perfect summertime carry in the South. I was originally looking at the Ruger LCP 2 in .22 for summer concealed carry. But, I have an issue with rimfire ammo in a semiautomatic. I started looking into other centerfire ammo and stumbled across the P32. I watched all the reviews. A friend had the P3AT version. The 380 just doesn’t have enough weight for the size of the ammo. The trigger felt like a staple gun and the gun would hurt your hand after about 2 magazines. What a pleasant surprise the P32 is. Accurate, lightweight & easy to shoot. My wife and I went to a nighttime Wedding in a sketchy neighborhood. I was able to carry it in the inside suit breast pocket.
That was a nice tribute for your friend, Frog. Love and prayers to his family and yours. You are spot on about using fmj ammo in a .32. Expansion is not desired, penetration is. I even carry fmj in my .380 LCP, not for penetration but for reliability. It is a backup gun for me in lieu of a speedload for a j-frame I carry in my right pocket. I'm not likely to need it but if I do I don't want to risk a jam for the sake of a hollowpoint that may or may not expand.
I've had my P32 for at least 10 years. Load Fiocchi fmj mags by feeling the rim kind of snap into the groove of the round below it, never had a rim lock. Probably put at least 700 rounds thru it. Glad I stocked up on Fiocchi .32 acp when there was plenty online at great prices.
Another awesome 32ACP ammo for the price are the German GECO FMJs. They are super high quality, accurate and as powerful as the Fiocchi's. Before COVID, Sportsman's Guide was selling them for as cheap as $11 a box for 50 rounds! And I think a couple of times during special sales, they went down to $8 a box. The only caveat I have concerning this pistol is that you can easily forget it's still on you when you're venturing into "no firearms" territory.
Great video Buffalo! It's always nice to revisit an older, but still viable pistol. The P32 was the 1st keltec product I bought. I love 32acp. I've never had rimlock stop me while shooting...however I do carry a small nail file just in case! If u drop the magazine and firmly push the nail file between the top round in the mag, and the next one under it, that will 99% of the time unlock them. Sorry to hear abt your friend. Have had mine almost a year now and love it. But I did have the magazine baseplate break and dump the rounds in my pocket. Emailed Kel Tec and had a new baseplate that week.

For at least the second time I discovered, today, that I had been "unsubscribed" from your channel against my will. So, I resubscribed and "rang the bell" again. I really liked this video as a friend of mine, a now retired State Trooper, carried just such a pistol as back up to his agency issue Glock 9mm. I think it was in 2005 or '06 that he was attacked, during a traffic stop, and lost control of his Glock when the suspect literally ripped his holster from his gun belt and was in the process of drawing the Glock from the detached holster when my friend pulled his KELTEC .32ACP from his pocket holster and emptied the magazine into the suspect's chest. The suspect was DRT. The ammo used was FMJ 70ish (I don't recall the manufacturer or exact bullet weight I'm sorry to say) grain bullets. The range? Less than three feet. Excellent video as usual.....Even though I now have to play catchup due to being unsubscribed. I wonder if you could do one or more of your excellent evaluations on the Bersa pistols in .380ACP as I'm considering one as a "glove box pistol" and I can't recall the last time I saw such an evaluation on any of the Bersa products from a YT provider that I actually trusted to be honest.
Sad that anyone feels so endangered in their community that they need ...or feel the need ..to be carrying a weapon when they're mowing their damn lawn. This wasn't always the case in America. I have 2 of these and like them a lot, i got pinkie extenders for the mags and steel guide rods for them and carry and shoot them often. Great vid. Spot on with the rim lock, and fmj vs jhp penetrating. One last thing if you like carrying and or shooting little guns, and you see one of these for sale at a reasonable price grab it! They sell out quickly!
Sorry for your loss. Great video. I don’t own a .32 anymore ( I used to have a NAA .32, and it was a jam-o-matic.). Probably because I used hollowpoint ammunition that didn’t fill the magazine far enough forward). I had heard once or twice through the years about the .32 being a semi-rimmed cartridge, but it didn’t ever sink in that that could have been the reason it was so unreliable. I appreciate your channel because you have common sense explanations of the things that occur during shooting. God bless.
Thank you! I've jad a few that I just couldn't shoot well no matter how hard I tried. The Bersa Thunder comes to mind... for whatever reason I just could not hit with that one... Thanks for the comment I appreciate it.
@@jaewhite2462 Same here. I had a stainless Gen 2 LCP that would jam with any FMJs or HPs. It went back to the Ruger factory 3 times and they finally admitted it was a lemon. Ended up carrying the P32 instead and haven't looked back since.
I've had and carried a P3AT (the .380 version of this pistol) for a lot of years. it just shoots. I use the small added +1 mag for carry, with 2 of the 9 round (same as the 10 round in .32) mags for my 2nd and 3rd carry mags. They fill up the hand nicely and make even the more powerful .380 shoot nice in it. I put some talon grips grip tape on it, and it made a lot of difference in being able to hang on to it.
I owned two Kel-Tec pistols just after the turn of the century, one in 40 and the P32. The 40 was junk, but the little 32 ran like a top. I would be willing to get another P32 for extra small concealment as long as I can get ammo for it.
They sure eliminate any excuse for not carrying. Thanks for the comment. Oh and locally I've been seeing a lot of .32 acp ammo... I don't know if that means anything in your area though.
Great video, well explained. I've used the P32 since the year it was introduced. As for rim lock, I've only experienced it with Buffalo Bore equivalent loads, using the short 75 grain FPL bullet. I use a lot of the Fiocchi 60 grain JHP and the overall length is plenty long to avoid rim lock. I I put a dab of orange paint on the face of the front sight, using a toothpick, and it helps with quick aiming. That was a nice tribute to your friend at the end. RIP.
👍👍Thanks Buffalo.A really great review on that pistol. I too think that penetration is the key when using small calibers like 32acp. Just about every video I’ve seen on 32acp ammo you don’t get enough penetration when you use hollow points and they actually expand, so fmjs are the way to go for me personally. Very sorry to hear about the passing of your friend, I will surely be praying for his family.
Back when I was carrying mine, I loaded it with Fiocchi 60 gr jhp--it's actually semi-jacketed, and noticeably hotter than anything else I tried. The exposed lead seems pretty hard, but would probably flatten a bit upon impact--doubt that they would really expand.
I've been carrying the Kel-tec .380 for 6 years now totally reliable! After shooting approx. 400 rounds have never had a jam or any other hiccups. It's an up close gun 20 to 30 feet max for me. With the small pocket holster it feels like a wallet in my pocket. Enjoyed your vid!👍
Glad we are on the same page, fmj only on this pistol My father did have a lock up on his that had to be sent back to keltec. That was 20 years ago I bet it was the rim lock, He ran FMJ only after that and no more issue.
Nice job of showing what the little P32 is capable of doing in the hands of a knowledgeable shooter. Thank you for the good information and competently done video!
Around 2002 I purchased a generation 1 Kel-Tec p32 fantastic gun I also purchased the Kel-Tec anti-rimlock kits so I can carry hollow points which are shorter profile without rim lock issues.. my p32 has been extremely reliable and accurate up to about 40 ft I now Carry Underwood extreme cavitator as it is a shorter profile than a FMJ the anti rim lock kits work fantastic. no rim lock issues.. I also have the 10 round magazine from Kel-Tec My son has the generation 2 Kel-Tec p32 which is a great gun but I prefer my generation one.. I can carry my little p32 in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster in my right front pocket when wearing the lightest weight shorts in the summertime and no one notices..
Excellent breakdown of the hollow point rim lock which is actually a short round rim lock. Glad you helped people understand the cause and the solution. Like you say those smaller caliber hollow points don't always spread open as desired anyway. ..
Got mine in 2010, as a backup to another Kel-Tec product, the PF9 (which I'd started carrying the previous year.) I carry it with a seven-round magazine in place and the ten-round along as a spare. Every time I handle it, I'm still impressed with both what Kel-Tec created with it and with what Kel-Tec started with it.
@sentero1856 Well, actually, though it's not a range piece by any means. As the lightest and flattest 9mm pistol capable of holding as many rounds as it does, and with a double-action, hammer-fired mechanism, it's rude in hand. However, it's certainly capable of fulfilling its purpose.
I have one of these loaded up with Underwood Xtreme Defender +P. It also has an amazing no longer produced aluminum trigger by RTK. The only issue I've ever had is corrosion on the slide so I just painted it with Aluma-Hyde II.
32 ACP - 73 Grain FMJ - Sellier & Bellot bullets are reputed the best for KelTec P32 because the loaded bullets fill up the space inside the magazine and thereby are much less likely to rimlock.
I alternate between, Sig p365, Taurus Gx4, and Keltech p32. I mostly carry the p32. Hardly any recoil. You don't need sights. This is an up close personal, with the bad guy between 5-10 feet away. Awesome gun. I'm getting another p32.
Thanks for the video ! only bad thing about the little 25s and 32s are that not many manufacturers are making new guns...and they don't get much smaller than the 380s today. It would be cool to have some little 25acp pistols with doublestack mags in a P365 sized gun, but there are much better more effective options. I almost bought a little 32 Keltec in a pawn shop once for $275-ish. Thanks for the video Buffalo !
Good point. I hardly ever see anything in .25 acp stocked locally. I'd like to get one just to show and tell with here on the channel. Thanks for the comment!
Fine job Buffalo. Great info on the FMJ. I remember the squabbles between you and Frog as to how you got that name. I wanted to say something better but I am not good with words when it comes to that kind of stuff so I thought a silent ending in honor of Frog would be appropriate. He was cantankerous that's for sure...lol . I will miss him.
Liked it so much I bought another. Did the `13 LB Spring replace and steel guide rod , Did homebrew grip with wrestlers 1/2 in grip tape and a piece of beer cooler material to fatten and soften the grip by a huge margin making it extra comfortable to shoot .
I had rim lock when I first shot mine but haven't had any issues since. I was using different ammo mixed so I don't mix anymore. great shooting buffalo!
Thank you for a very good video, but more importantly observing a moment of silence to honor your friend. Gods blessings to you and yours and your friends family .
I had my P32 seems like forever, it is OD green. I only carry round nose ammo in it, it never expands with hollow points. Better for penetration. When I got my first CCW years ago, then instructor said during the class portion that no one could qualify on the shooting portion of the class with the P32 cause it was not a good gun. So I took my P32 instead of my Glock 19. I did better with the P32 than anyone else in the class, LOL. The instructor just said, wow you really must have been concentrating with that pistol. He is very proud of himself. I don't carry the P32 anylonger, it has been riding in my safe for years. I a good pistol, my sights are right on, maybe I got a good one.
I had considered the Secamp LWS in .32 acp as a carry gun. But the gun shop only stocked them in .380 acp and I knew the recoil made that model rather hard to handle. So I got an in stock Ruger LCP in .380 which I do like. Loaded weighs 14 ounces. Had I known of this Keltec model I would have searched for one.
First off RIP Frogs Buffalo your one of few that recommends to just run ball ammo in the smaller cartridges. I tried to explain this to a friend of mine when he was looking for hollow point ammo for his Ruger lcp. He didn’t seem to understand what I was trying to explain to him.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. May God Bless everyone that called him "friend".
love my p32. obviously larger caliber preferred but this is easy mode carry for low risk areas, or deep concealment needed.
This is what i carry when I mow the lawn. My primary is a gen 3 Glock 26, so I’m always carrying like it’s 1999.
I like that.
Sad that anyone feels so endangered in their community that they need ...or feel the need ..to be carrying a weapon when they're mowing their damn lawn.
This wasn't always the case in America. It's become a hunger games type free fire zone. Kinda like Guatemala. Rampant gun proliferation has ruined the country.
@@barrybarnes96 I don’t feel endangered, I’m just exercising a right. Sorry my comment has triggered you. I feel safe here, but it sounds like this isn’t the country for you.
@@barrybarnes96 Gun proliferation allows us to protect ourselves. It's the criminal proliferation that's the problem. Soft on crime DA's, no bail laws, etc.
Thank God for the 2nd Amendment 🇺🇸 🇺🇲
@@barrybarnes96I carry not because I’m scared but because I love firearms and love flexing my 2A. Nothing better. Besides god himself. Also yea, violence happens when you least expect it. Always been like that in this world.
The P32 basically leaves you without excuse to carry a weapon at any situation short of skinny dipping.
It really does. If a person can carry a smart phone around they can carry a P32.
Skinny dipping? Just clench yer buttocks, is all. 😉
@@buffalosoutdoors Jason, thanks again for the review. I'm curious....you tested a P3AT a long time ago. Have you come to prefer the P32 over the 380 offerings, or just that this was a fun gun to test out? Thanks
LOL. Nice
nice pic traitor
So sorry for your loss Buffalo.. 😢
God bless.
Your ability with small pistols is amazing. I had an LCP max and could throw rocks more accurately.
Thank you! I've jad a few that I just couldn't shoot well no matter how hard I tried. The Bersa Thunder comes to mind... for whatever reason I just could not hit with that one... Thanks for the comment I appreciate it.
My LCP was the most unreliable, I accurate mess I have ever seen
Sorry for your loss my friend
I owned two Kel-Tec pistols just after the turn of the century, one in 40 and the P32. The 40 was junk, but the little 32 ran like a top. I would be willing to get another P32 for extra small concealment as long as I can get ammo for it.
They sure eliminate any excuse for not carrying. Thanks for the comment. Oh and locally I've been seeing a lot of .32 acp ammo... I don't know if that means anything in your area though.
My condolences for the passing of your friend. Thanks, as always, for another cool video.
Thank you for the comment. He was a good man and I miss him.
Glad we are on the same page, fmj only on this pistol
My father did have a lock up on his that had to be sent back to keltec. That was 20 years ago
I bet it was the rim lock, He ran FMJ only after that and no more issue.
Like you say those smaller caliber hollow points don't always spread open as desired anyway.
..
Got mine in 2010, as a backup to another Kel-Tec product, the PF9 (which I'd started carrying the previous year.)
I carry it with a seven-round magazine in place and the ten-round along as a spare.
Every time I handle it, I'm still impressed with both what Kel-Tec created with it and with what Kel-Tec started with it.
I've heard meh things about the pf9. How's that holding up?
@sentero1856
Well, actually, though it's not a range piece by any means. As the lightest and flattest 9mm pistol capable of holding as many rounds as it does, and with a double-action, hammer-fired mechanism, it's rude in hand.
However, it's certainly capable of fulfilling its purpose.
Full Metal Jacket only!!!
Very clear explanations and demonstrations of how things work and sometimes don’t. Many thanks.
Excellent shooting Buffalo!
May Daryl rest in peace. We are sorry for the loss of your friend. I'm sure that he enjoined watching your shooting videos like we do.
I have one of these loaded up with Underwood Xtreme Defender +P.
It also has an amazing no longer produced aluminum trigger by RTK.
The only issue I've ever had is corrosion on the slide so I just painted it with Aluma-Hyde II.
Thanks for the comment. I am a Aluma-Hyde II user myself... good stuff!
32 ACP - 73 Grain FMJ - Sellier & Bellot bullets are reputed the best for KelTec P32 because the loaded bullets fill up the space inside the magazine and thereby are much less likely to rimlock.
Miss ya man … sure hope all is well.
Great P32 review of a great little pistol! Condolences on the passing of your friend, Frog. May God bless and keep him! 🙏🏻
Sorry for the loss of your friend
I alternate between, Sig p365, Taurus Gx4, and Keltech p32. I mostly carry the p32. Hardly any recoil. You don't need sights. This is an up close personal, with the bad guy between 5-10 feet away. Awesome gun. I'm getting another p32.
Thank you for the extra info on cartridge shape & RimLock. I still learn something new every day.
You're welcome!
Mine comes tomorrow 🙂I look forward to owning yet another KelTec.
Great video Sir, sorry for your lost, best reviews and I can’t believe your shooting, thank you and God Bless
Thanks for your channel, Buffalo. I don’t comment much.
Condolences for your friend Darrell “Frog” Jessie, and his family.
😓🙏
Absolutely my favorite ccw ever. I need to get another one.
thanks, Buffalo - great review/update/history. it is hard to lose a friend. condolences.
Thanks so much. I appreciate that.
Great description about rim lock,,,,
Love it Buffalo! I still carry mine just about every day, I like the Fiocchi FMJ in it. Good video !
I've had mine for many, many years & it works perfectly; & yes, I do occasionally carry it (when unable to take one of my usual EDC)😀🇺🇸
Fine job Buffalo. Great info on the FMJ.
I remember the squabbles between you and Frog as to how you got that name. The way I recall, you were out of the shop that day and Frog was trying to come up with a name and said to me "That dang boy is as big as a buffalo" and so it became. The good old days.
Great tribute to the Frog. Thanks for doing what you do Buffalo!! RIP Frog
I wanted to say something better but I am not good with words when it comes to that kind of stuff so I thought a silent ending in honor of Frog would be appropriate. He was cantankerous that's for sure...lol . I will miss him.
You definitely nailed it man. That pulled really hard on the heart strings. I mean REALLY hard. Frog would be proud.
Long OAL ... thank you. This gun has my interest.
You're welcome, glad you found the video useful!
Sorry for your loss Buffalo. 😢
What a great little gun. About the same weight as my NAA mini revolver in 22 mag! I gotta find me one of these.
Liked it so much I bought another. Did the `13 LB Spring replace and
steel guide rod , Did homebrew grip with wrestlers 1/2 in grip tape and a
piece of beer cooler material to fatten and soften the grip by a huge
margin making it extra comfortable to shoot .
I had rim lock when I first shot mine but haven't had any issues since. I was using different ammo mixed so I don't mix anymore. great shooting buffalo!
Thank you!
Buffalo. Another good video. Great shooting with the very small gun. Take care.
Thanks Bobcat!
Thank you for a very good video, but more importantly observing a moment of silence to honor your friend. Gods blessings to you and yours and your friends family .
Thanks so much.
Got one; going to ccw Qual ify this weekend....tell ya how I did soon...aim up to the left...got it
That's an excellent review with great attention to all the technical details.
Thank you!
This was very informative as far as rim lock and the best ammo to prevent it. I learned something. Excellent video.
Sorry about the loss of your friend. Nice little.32 and good shooting. Thanks for the video
Just bought one, but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I really like it so far.
Once again Buffalo proves all guns are inherently accurate.
It's really just us that aren't. 😬
God bless Darrell.
Thank you for this comment. I appreciate it. I miss him.
This is my going to the kitchen, going to the bathroom, overall house gun.
And thanks for showing about rim lock. I learned more here than I had.
First off RIP Frogs
Buffalo your one of few that recommends to just run ball ammo in the smaller cartridges. I tried to explain this to a friend of mine when he was looking for hollow point ammo for his Ruger lcp. He didn’t seem to understand what I was trying to explain to him. Or he just wanted to get the fancy ammo idk all i know is I tried to save him some money. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.
Yep that's how I see it. Thanks for the comment!
